South Africa captain Janine van Wyk is trying to stay positive despite her team's exit from the Women's World Cup.
"We were up against the second best team in the world and we have to learn from our mistakes.
"We were up against a really tough opponent - technically disciplined and organised. We made a few errors - our players not picking up in the box and an error for the keeper.
"We couldn't score a goal but we tried to attack."
The four World Cup debutant teams have lost all nine games combined in this tournament.
Germany have won all three of their group stage matches for a fourth time - after 1991, 2003 and 2011.
This is the third time they have gone through a group stage without conceding - 1991 and 2007 were the others.
South Africa are the first team to be eliminated from this World Cup. Three games, three defeats on their tournament debut.

Germany, ranked second in the world, cruise into the last 16 and a game in Grenoble on 22 June against a team yet to be decided.

Spain and China drew 0-0 to join Germany in the knockout stages.
Spain finish runners-up - and now head to Reims for a knockout tie against the United States or Sweden on 24 June.

The sun is getting in players' faces at the moments in Montpellier. Half the pitch is in shade, half is in the light. Like one of those really annoying pitches on Fifa.
Alexandra Popp has the ball in the net but the offside flag correctly goes up. Linda Dallmann flew in down the left and crossed for Popp to slot home.
