That's day six of the World Cup done.

You can catch up on all the reports from today's matches across the website, including Neil Johnston's excellent report on that France victory and all of its VAR drama.

Group B and Group C are up tomorrow as Australia take on Brazil before newbies South Africa face China.

You can build-up to that by reading this piece on South Africa coach Desiree Ellis and her personal journey from working in a meat-packing district to taking the team to their first ever World Cup. It's a cracker!

I'll be back on Friday for the big one - England v Argentina at 20:00 BST. See you then!

  3. The best of the stats

    France 2-1 Norway

Valerie Gauvin’s goal came just 45 seconds into the second half.

The last three Women's World Cup goals scored in the opening minute of a second half have all come against Norway.

This was also France’s first World Cup win without keeping a clean sheet.

  4. Post update

    France 2-1 Norway

    Emma Hayes

Chelsea Women manager on BBC Radio 5 Live

Norway had got themselves back into the game, it could have gone either way, and I was hoping with her years of experience, the referee would make the right decision. It's not clear and it's not obvious.

  5. 'No penalty'

    France 2-1 Norway

    Claire Rafferty

    Ex-England international on BBC Four

For me instantly I went for no penalty. She jumped in, but the jump in from Marion Torrent was a sign Engen could not stop.

  6. How the table looks...

    France 2-1 Norway

    .

A bitter result to take for Norway but they remain second in the group, ahead of Nigeria on goal difference.

Victory against South Korea in their final match will send them through to the last 16.

  7. 'Deserved'

    France 2-1 Norway

    Rachel Brown-Finnis

    Ex-England goalkeeper on BBC Four

Norway dug in at times and rode the storm, but Wendie Renard, the relief we saw from her when that penalty was dispatched. France overall deserved the win.

  8. Post update

    France 2-1 Norway

    Emma Hayes

Chelsea Women manager on BBC Radio 5 Live

It's not convincing from the French team but they've got it over the line, courtesy of modern technology. Nearly everyone in this stadium wanted them to win but Norway showed what a quality team they are. They can be proud.

  9. FULL-TIME

    France 2-1 Norway

All over in Nice. France ride their luck and make it two wins from two. Norway are harshly defeated despite an excellent performance.

  10. Post update

    France 2-1 Norway

It's hooked long towards Eugenie Le Sommer and the experienced forward runs it straight into the left corner.

  11. Post update

    France 2-1 Norway

Oh and to make matters worse, a Mexican wave has started in the Allianz Riviera. Please make it stop!!

  12. Post update

    France 2-1 Norway

    Emma Hayes

Chelsea Women manager on BBC Radio 5 Live

Norway can be proud of their performance. Only VAR has separated the two sides.

  13. Post update

    France 2-1 Norway

Time is rapidly running out for Norway and it's Eugenie Le Sommer who has the ball. She wins it in the opposition half and drives into the box before she's tackled.

  14. SUBSTITUTION

    France 2-1 Norway

Final roll of the dice for Norway. Vilde Risa is off. Frida Maanum is on.

  15. Post update

    France 2-1 Norway

They have not had an attempt on goal since the 41st minute though...

  16. INJURY TIME

    France 2-1 Norway

Four minutes for Norway to find an equaliser.

  17. Post update

    France 2-1 Norway

Marion Torrent sends another ball into the box but it's well caught by Ingrid Hjelmseth. She's keen to get things moving again quickly as the clock reaches 90 minutes.

  18. Post update

    France 2-1 Norway

    Emma Hayes

Chelsea Women manager on BBC Radio 5 Live

The game's getting stretched now, but Norway need to improve their final ball into the final third. They're a little rushed with what they're doing.

  19. Post update

    France 2-1 Norway

Eugenie Le Sommer juggles the ball past a defender on the left and sets off on a counter-attack. It's three-on-two for a moment until the Norwegian midfielders get back.

It comes across to substitute Delphine Cascarino and she beats the full-back, gets to the byline but her lifted cross evades Le Sommer in the centre.

  20. SUBSTITUTION

    France 2-1 Norway

Ingrid Moe Wold is replaced by Stine Hovland.
