  1. Farewell

    QPR celebrate

Well that was an entertaining night in the English Football League.

Who'd have thought at the beginning of the night that QPR would end a seven-game losing run in the Championship to beat Leeds and stop them going top?

Elsewhere, congratulations to Portsmouth who are heading for Wembley after beating Bury in the Checkatrade Trophy semi-final.

I've enjoyed that. Another corker of a night in the EFL.

    Thank you for joining us

  2. Race for the play-offs

Victories for both Birmingham City - at Bristol City - and Hull this evening gave both sides' play-off hopes a shot in the arm.

The Tigers are now only six points off the top six, while Birmingham are even closer after climbing above Nottingham Forest into eighth on goal difference.

The one issue for Blues may be the punishment they receive for breaching profit and sustainability rules.

    Race for the play-offs
  3. Tight at the top

Here's what tonight's results have done at the top of the Championship.

The answer, actually, is not a lot. It's as you were in the top six following defeats for Leeds and Bristol City.

It means the battle for promotion remains incredibly tight - especially with Leeds hosting fourth-placed West Brom on Friday.

Owen Whiteley: I think that's the end of Leeds' promotion hopes.. not consistent enough with a thin squad.

That's a big call Owen - they're still only two points off the top!

  5. FULL-TIME

    Lincoln 1-1 Exeter

Talk about leaving it late! John Akinde's strike deep in stoppage time earns Lincoln a point against Exeter.

The Imps move three points clear for second-placed Bury at the top of the table.

  6. FULL-TIME

    Shrewsbury 2-0 Doncaster

Excellent win for Shrewsbury, who move five points clear of the League One relegation zone with victory over play-off chasing Doncaster, thanks to goals from Josh Laurent and Tyrese Campbell.

  7. FULL-TIME

    Hull 2-1 Millwall

Hull just about manage to get over the line as struggling Millwall can't quite work a second equaliser despite a valiant effort to score late on at the KCOM Stadium

  8. GOAL: Lincoln 1-1 Exeter

    John Akinde (90 + 6 mins)

Talk about scoring at the death!

Deep, deep into stoppage time, John Akinde rescues a point for League Two leaders Lincoln, firing home from close range following Matt Rhead's flick-on.

  9. FULL-TIME

    Sheff Wed 2-0 Brentford

It wasn't to be for Brentford who have been undone by a Steven Fletcher double either side of the break for Sheffield Wednesday.

  10. FULL-TIME

    Bristol City 1-2 Birmingham

Birmingham City hold on to beat Bristol City after a strong end to the second half from the hosts.

  11. FULL-TIME

    QPR 1-0 Leeds

    QPR goal

What will this mean come the end of the season, eh?

A tremendous win for QPR as Luke Freeman gives them all three points and a first league win of 2019 against promotion-chasing Leeds.

  12. FULL-TIME

Bury 0-3 Portsmouth - Portsmouth into Checkatrade Trophy final

    Craig MacGillivray

It's all over at Gigg Lane and Portsmouth are into the final of the Checkatrade Trophy final!

What a way for Pompey boss Kenny Jackett to celebrate 100 games in charge.

  13. Post update

    QPR 1-0 Leeds

    QPR

It hasn't gone Leeds' way tonight. QPR are closing in on a first league win in 2019 if it stays like this.

Bright Osayi-Samuel comes agonisingly close to QPR's second of the evening but Leeds keeper Kiko Casilla is on hand to save.

  14. Post update

    Bristol City 1-2 Birmingham

Bristol City are still trying to find a leveller in this game but their latest chance comes up short.

Matty Taylor crosses in towards Eros Pisano but he slices a volleyed effort past the Birmingham goal.

  15. Post update

    Sheff Wed 2-0 Brentford

Brentford aren't sitting back just yet.

Said Benrahma works the ball towards goal and tries his luck from 25 yards out but it goes over the bar.

  16. Post update

    Bury 0-3 Portsmouth

    Gareth Seddon

Former Bury striker on BBC Radio Manchester

Those two quick goals have really knocked the stuffing out the Bury players – you can’t see them stringing three or four passes together now whereas in the first-half they absolutely outplayed Portsmouth.

That’ll be the most disappointing thing.

  17. Post update

    QPR 1-0 Leeds

My word, Leeds United should be on level terms but somehow QPR manage to keep the ball out!

It's like a pinball table in the hosts' box as Marcelo Bielsa's side have chance after chance from Patrick Bamford and Stuart Dallas with keeper Joe Lumley putting in a stunning succession of saves to keep it 1-0 to QPR.

  18. PENALTY APPEAL

    Lincoln 0-1 Exeter

Lincoln want a penalty when John Akinde races through. The Imps claim he is pulled back as he bears down on goal - but the referee says no!

  19. HITS THE WOODWORK

    Hull 2-1 Millwall

A chance at the other end at the KCOM Stadium!

Kamil Grosicki tries his luck with an audacious and powerful effort from long range that hits the post before bouncing off Millwall keeper Jordan Archer and going out for a corner!

  20. Post update

    Sheff Wed 2-0 Brentford

Sheffield Wednesday look more likely to add to their two-goal haul rather than Brentford fighting back at the minute.

Rolando Aarons puts a cross in towards Dominic Iorfa who heads over the bar.
