Aleksander Pagels: You're right BBC, I can't think of a better Championship game from the top of my head. Premier League stuff.

It was a VERY entertaining game.

  4. How that changes the table...

    FT: Aston Villa 2-3 Leeds

    Championship table.

Leeds go one point above Norwich and six points above third-placed West Brom.

They also now have a healthy gap between them and the chasing pack - they're 10 points above sixth-placed Sheffield United, who incidentally are five points above 11th-placed Villa.

  5. Post update

    FT: Aston Villa 2-3 Leeds

Kemar Roofe's goal was his 11th of the season. The 25-year-old is having a really good campaign.

    Kemar Roofe.

Dean Plumley: The Roofe is on Fire Get in

Kyle: Brilliant character and quality shown from Leeds. No more than they deserve. They have been the better side especially in the 2nd half. Terrible clearance that gifted them the chance though. Villa will be kicking themselves.

  7. FT: Aston Villa 2-3 Leeds

So Leeds will be top of the Championship at Christmas and - in recent years in the second tier - whoever has been top at Christmas has gone up in May.

  8. FT: Aston Villa 2-3 Leeds

And that means Leeds are back on top of the Championship!

Kemar Roofe's 95th-minute winner (yes, 95th!) moves them back above Norwich.

    Aston Villa 2-3 Leeds

Leeds win one of the best Championship games you could ever ask to see!

  10. Post update

    Aston Villa 2-3 Leeds

Villa go in search of an even later equaliser, but as the ball runs out for a Leeds goal kick, this game is now surely over.

  11. GOAL: Aston Villa 2-3 Leeds

    Kemar Roofe

    Kemar Roofe.

Leeds go wild! They've surely won it!

It's a cracking counter attack but poor defending from Ahmed Elmohamady, who fails to clear with a simple header, and it falls to Kemar Roofe who smashes a low shot in to the bottom corner.

The away end goes barmy! Villa were 2-0 up at half-time.

  12. Post update

    Aston Villa 2-2 Leeds

In case you've just joined us, Leeds trailed 2-0 at the break, but goals from substitute Jack Clarke and defender Pontus Jansson brought them level in this second half.

    Leeds celebrate.
  13. Post update

    Aston Villa 2-2 Leeds

It's end-to-end stuff. Neither side is considering sitting on this and defending to aim for a draw from here.

Leeds' Mateusz Klich shoots from range but it's held by Orjan Nyland.

  14. Post update

    Aston Villa 2-2 Leeds

There'll be five minutes of added time. Hold on to your hats, everyone.

Gary O'Brien: This is a big test for us at AVFC. A draw or worse is a big dent in our prospects of making the play-offs.

  16. Post update

    Aston Villa 2-2 Leeds

We're in to the final minute of the initial 90.

As it stands, Leeds' five-match winning run is coming to an end, but there's still time for that to change.

  17. Post update

    Aston Villa 2-2 Leeds

Now Leeds' Ezgjan Alioski is booked for a foul on Ahmed Elmohamady, giving Villa a free-kick in a very dangerous position, by the left corner flag.

But Leeds head the subsequent delivery clear.

  18. No veg at Villa

    Aston Villa 2-2 Leeds

    Ged Scott

    BBC Sport at Villa Park

The last time Villa let a two-goal lead slip at home and ended up drawing was against Preston in September, when some joker threw a cabbage and Steve Bruce got sacked soon after.

Thankfully, in this thrilling cracker of a game today, the only thing emanating from the crowd has been noise - with more oohs and aahs than a Christmas panto.

There’s been nothing thrown. Not even a Brussels sprout.

But then again it’s got that cold, most hands have been left firmly in pockets.

    Dean Smith and John Terry.
  19. Post update

    Aston Villa 2-2 Leeds

My colleague is saying 'who is going to find the winner?'

But part of me thinks there might still be a goal for each side! It's been that kind of a game... Don't rule it out.
