  1. Goodbye

That's it from our coverage of tonight's EFL action.

Remember we'll be back tomorrow with five more Championship games.

West Brom or Leeds could go to the top of the table, while the bottom three - Preston, Hull and Ipswich - are all in action.

    Do join us again.

  2. Coming up on Wednesday...

    Nigel Adkins

It's a busy night in the second tier tomorrow with 10 teams in action.

Leeds are looking to return to winning ways as they host bottom side Ipswich, while Hull are hoping to ease the pressure on boss Nigel Adkins at Bristol City.

    Here's what's taking place...

    • Bristol City v Hull
    • Leeds v Ipswich
    • Preston v Brentford
    • Bolton v Nottingham Forest (20:00 BST)
    • West Brom v Derby (20:00)
  3. League Two headlines

    • Leaders Lincoln twice come from behind to draw with Carlisle at Sincil Bank.
    • MK Dons are up to second with their home win over Notts County, with Exeter rounding out the top three.
    • Matt Crooks scores a first-half hat-trick in Northampton's thumping win at Macclesfield, while Cambridge win at Swindon to move out of the bottom two.
  4. League One headlines

    • Leaders Portsmouth drop points, drawing 2-2 with Burton at Fratton Park.
    • Peterborough beat Fleetwood to close the gap at the top to four points, while Sunderland also win at Doncaster.
    • Danny Hylton's hat-trick helps Luton thrash Accrington to climb into the top six.
    • Bradford drop to the bottom of the table with their home defeat by Coventry, with Plymouth moving above them thanks to their home win over Gillingham.
  5. The Championship table

Here's how the top of the Championship table looks after tonight's matches...

    Championship table

Apart from Norwich, the two teams probably most happy will be West Brom and Leeds.

They both play on Wednesday, and could find themselves at the summit by the end of play tomorrow if results go their way.

  6. Championship headlines

    • Leaders Middlesbrough are held to a goalless draw by lowly Rotherham, but stay top of the table.
    • Two goals from Jordan Rhodes help Norwich move up to fourth as they inflict a first defeat on new Aston Villa boss Dean Smith.
    • Birmingham and Swansea move to a point off the play-offs as they beat Reading and Blackburn respectively.
    • Millwall move out of the bottom three as they record a second win in 11 league games at home to Wigan.

    Swansea 3-1 Blackburn

Such is the inconsistency and unpredictability of the Championship eh?

Swansea came into this on the back of two defeats but were excellent in the second-half, coming from behind to beat an in-form Blackburn.

They move within a point of the top six. Graham Potter will be smiling tonight.

    Birmingham 2-1 Reading

Goals from Gary Gardner and Lukas Jutkiewicz helped Birmingham go 10 games unbeaten and within a point of the play-offs against strugglers Reading.

Yakou Meite's goal came too late to make a difference for Paul Clement's side.

    Millwall 2-1 Wigan

Millwall hold on to record just their second win in 11 Championship games.

That victory is enough to move the Lions out of the relegation zone.

  10. Rhodes reaction

    FT: Norwich 2-1 Aston Villa

Norwich striker Jordan Rhodes tells Sky Sports: "We came from behind to win the game and that shows the character of the lads.

"Villa are a great team and to do a job on them is very pleasing."

    Norwich 2-1 Aston Villa

As the clock ticks over to 99 minutes, the whistle finally goes.

Norwich up to fourth after a second consecutive win, while Dean Smith suffers his first defeat since joining Aston Villa.

Jordan Rhodes turned the game on its head in the second half with two fine finishes.

  12. Post update

    Norwich 2-1 Aston Villa

One last chance for Villa, with Jack Grealish over a free-kick 25 yards out.

But it is into the wall...

    Not long left now.

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Rotherham Utd

Rotherham United put on a stunning display of defensive organisation to frustrate Middlesbrough and come away with a hard-earned point from the Riverside.

For Boro, that's three home games in a row without scoring, despite a number of attacking options being wheeled out, and concern for boss Tony Pulis going forward.

Sheffield United's draw means the Teessiders remain top regardless, but Pulis' old club West Brom could leapfrog them tomorrow.

    Sheff Utd 1-1 Stoke

Sheffield United are denied top spot in the Championship as Stoke City's late equaliser earns them a priceless point.

One defeat in five now for the Potters, while Sheffield United - whose four-game winning run was ended by Derby at the weekend - miss out on a return to winning ways.

They dominated at times, but should have put the game beyond doubt given the amount of chances and pressure they enjoyed. Credit Stoke, they never went away.

    QPR 3-0 Sheff Wed

    Nahki Wells

A comfortable win for QPR in the end.

That's a third win in a run of four games unbeaten.

    Wednesday fall to back-to-back defeats.

  16. Post update

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Rotherham Utd

Mo Besic has a shot blocked by sheer weight of Rotherham numbers! Middlesbrough are launching everything. To no avail.

    Legendary defensive effort by Rotherham.

  17. Post update

    Norwich 2-1 Aston Villa

A crucial clearance in the 96th minute as Neil Taylor's cross from the Villa left is turned behind by Jamal Lewis.

A corner to survive for the hosts...

    Norwich 2-1 Aston Villa

Louis Thompson is forced off in the closing stages, and it looks like the Norwich man has dislocated his shoulder. He's in some discomfort.

He'd only just come on as a sub and had been on less than a minute.

Ben Godfrey will replace him for the final few seconds.

  19. GOAL: Birmingham 2-1 Reading

    Yakou Meite (90 mins)

Yakou Meite pounces for Reading. It's surely too late though, yeah?

  20. CLOSE!

    Norwich 2-1 Aston Villa

Villa striker Scott Hogan is within inches on getting on the end of Anwar El Ghazi's inswinging cross of the left.

Nervous moments for Canaries fans, and for Villa boss Dean Smith...
