Latest PostGoodbye!
A routine win for Manchester City has stuck the holders into the League Cup quarter-finals.
But has it come at a price? Kevin de Bruyne was substituted with an injury in the final few moments.
A nervous few days ahead for Pep Guardiola, City supporters and fantasy football managers across the land...
We'll know more by the time the Premier League returns on Saturday. Cheerio!
'City want to keep Diaz'
Man City 2-0 Fulham
Brahim Diaz won the game for Manchester City with his first senior goals, but there has been chat the Spanish teenager could leave when his contract expires next summer.
Real Madrid has been touted as a possible destination...
"We will do absolutely everything to keep him with us," City boss Pep Guardiola says.
"We want him, but at the end it doesn’t depend on us."
De Bruyne is back - Pep
Man City 2-0 Fulham
More from Pep Guardiola on Kevin de Bruyne, who was excellent before going off injured in the final moments: "I think today Kevin is back. The Kevin we know.
"He made a huge effort against Shakhtar, played a few minutes against Spurs in difficult conditions.
"Today he was involved in offence and defence, hopefully what happened in the last minute is not serious."
Pep unsure how serious De Bruyne injury is
Man City 2-0 Fulham
Pep Guardiola clearly wants to get home tonight. He's already been talking to media.
First up? Kevin de Bruyne....
"He is being checked by the doctors. I don't know right now.
"We don't know if it's nothing or if it's something serious."

Positives for Fulham tonight?
They didn't get hammered, they got forward a few times, they tried to play some decent football... and they won't play Manchester City every week.

Louis Perl: A much better defensive performance from Fulham tonight. Although City made 10 changes they still had a team including De Bruyne, Stones, Sane etc. If we perform like that every week we should be safe this season.

Kevin de Bruyne was fabulously fabulous.
Not just playing right pass all the time, he ws popping up in every position on the pitch and being the best player in that position.
His energy levels were fantastic. His professionalism and attitude were off the scale.
It came as close as you can get to 10 out of 10. If he scored then you would give him 10 out 10.
He grimaced when he went off but I would hope it isn't that bad. He wasn't carried off or limping badly so I'd imagine he would be okay in a few days.

Man for man Fulham are nowhere near as good as Manchester City. But you could say that about most teams in the world right now.
Fulham played their part in the game and defended well but all the class was in sky blue tonight.
Let's just hope Kevin de Bruyne isn't injured too seriously.

Deservedly Manchester City are through. They were completely in control, played exceptional well and one or two played even better than that.

Steve Adams: In response to Loser92 - Any team could make 10 changes and cruise to victory over us... Have you been watching our defence this year...
FULL-TIME
Man City 2-0 Fulham
A comfortable win for City, who will play Leicester or Southampton in the last eight of the Carabao Cup.
INJURY TIME
Man City 2-0 Fulham
There will be three minutes of injury time before City's place in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals is confirmed.
The sign goes up, just as Aleksandar Mitrovic sees a tame shot deflect behind off Vincent Kompany.

Loser92: It doesn’t bode well for the rest of the Premier League when Manchester City can make ten changes and still cruise to victory over Fulham.

De Bruyne concern

BBC Sport at the Etihad Stadium
As soon as the City medical staff got to De Bruyne, they decided he was coming off.
The Belgian has just missed two months with a knee injury and that seemed to be the area of concern on this occasion too as he was bending it before he made his way off.
Pep Guardiola had a word when De Bruyne got to the touchline. The midfielder then headed straight down the tunnel.
That is a worry on an otherwise troublefree night for the hosts.
CLOSE!
Man City 2-0 Fulham
The home fans had been fairly quiet anyway but they are even more subdued now Kevin de Bruyne has gone off.
City are still attacking, though, and Danilo's deep cross finds Leroy Sane in space at the back post... but his volley is neither shot nor cross, and flies away from goal.
SUBSTITUTION
Man City 2-0 Fulham
Yep, Kevin de Bruyne is off, replaced by Claudio Gomes - an 18-year-old French midfielder who is making his competitive debut.
De Bruyne departed the pitch wearing a grimace - not sure whether it was his knee or his ankle that was causing him problems, but he looked in a bit of pain.
