  1. Post update

Oh just before you leave, to tell you - the second goal has just been awarded as a Harry Kane one and not an own goal.

So all those Sainsbury puns were in vain.

  2. Goodnight

Check out all our match reports on the BBC football index.

Or this BBC Three piece on Adriano and how he couldn't live up to his Pro Evo legend.

  3. Post update

    Spurs 2-1 PSV

Spurs had 30 shots in total today, their most ever in a Champions League game.

  4. Post update

    Napoli 1-1 PSG

Paris St-Germain goalkeeper Gianlugi Buffon (40y 282d) has become the second oldest player to make their Champions League debut for a club after Mark Schwarzer (41y 65d), when he turned out for Chelsea back in December 2013.

  5. Post update

PSV made a very, very niche bit of history tonight.

They have been eliminated after four matches of a Champions League group for the third time - a joint record with Spartak and CSKA Moscow, Steaua Bucharest, Anderlecht and Dinamo Zagreb. Viktoria Plzen can join that club tomorrow.

  7. 'All the top teams have freak results'

    Spurs 2-1 PSV

Inter Milan are a completely different proposition to PSV. Mauricio Pochettino said it wouldn't be embarrassing if they went out at the group stages because of the teams in it, but the disappointment is that they are in this position because of the last three games.

All the top teams will have a freak result, but you have to forget that and grind out results when you are not playing well.

  8. Post update

    Inter Milan 1-1 Barcelona

Malcom is the first player to score on his Champions League debut for Barcelona since Cristian Tello, who netted twice aganst Bayer Leverkusen in March 2012.

  9. 'Spurs made changes but kept their shape'

    Spurs 2-1 PSV

    Lee Dixon

Former Arsenal and England defender on BBC Radio 5 live at Wembley

Spurs made changes but they retained their formation. Fernando Llorente came on and did well when he set up Harry Kane. He gave them a bit of a focal point around Kane, and the England striker benefited with two goals.

  10. Post update

PSV boss Mark van Bommel has just used a bad word to describe the Wembley pitch today. Because this is a family friendly live page, I can't tell you which one.

  11. 'The organisation at set pieces was concerning'

    Spurs 2-1 PSV

    Lee Dixon

Former Arsenal and England defender on BBC Radio 5 live at Wembley

What concerned me the most tonight was Spurs' organisation at set pieces. The fact Dele Alli was picking up Luuk de Jong after he scored from the same method, was an issue. There were times the same player was free at the far post but I'm sure that will be put right on the training pitch.

  12. 'We took a risk in the second half'

    Spurs 2-1 PSV

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino speaking to BT Sport: "It was a tough game. We played very good and created a lot of chances. We took a risk in the second half.

"The team deserved the victory. We won and suffered a lot. It was a massive effort so I was pleased. We play a lot in eight days. Now we need to try to recover for Saturday [at Crystal Palace].

"It is another must-win game. We are confident. This team is growing up. The team is fighting so I am so happy.

"We tried to fight. We have the character of never giving up which is so important. I am happy always with the situation. Today we kept pushing and that victory is so important."

  13. Post update

Lokomotiv Moscow are only the second team drawn from pot one (top seeds) to be eliminated after four rounds of a Champions League first group stage - after Blackburn Rovers in 1995-96.

Yes kids, Blackburn used to be in the Champions League.

  14. 'The substitutions worked'

    Spurs 2-1 PSV

    Lee Dixon

Former Arsenal and England defender on BBC Radio 5 live at Wembley

When you make substitutions against a team that is sitting back, it just changes the complexion of the game for the opposition. It makes you think about your defending because all of a sudden the player you are marking is a different problem.

Fernando Llorente and Erik Lamela came on and the substitutions worked well. The pressure was building and building and once they got the equaliser, you felt the winner was coming.

  15. 'The PSV keeper was playing out of his skin'

    Spurs 2-1 PSV

    Lee Dixon

Former Arsenal and England defender on BBC Radio 5 live at Wembley

Spurs got the job done, albeit it took a while. The way they conceded so early was not ideal but you just have to carry on.

They created a lot of chances in the first half but you got the feeling it would be a frustrating night, because the PSV goalkeeper was playing out of his skin. When you start to think that on the pitch you have to rally around and keep pushing on.

As PSV got deeper and deeper as the game wore on, they got a bit of luck, but who cares.

  16. 'There's always hope'

Tottenham midfielder Harry Winks to BT Sports: "It's very difficult. We came against top players. So when you concede early it is difficult but we were excellent after that.

"We found a way to get those two goals. We dug in and I thought we deserved the win. There's always hope so we will try and win the next game and do all we can to possibly try and go through.

  17. 'One of our best performances'

    Spurs 2-1 PSV

Tottenham striker Harry Kane speaking to BT Sport: "We said we were disappointed coming away from there. Today it wasn't ideal conceding early but then we were dominant and created chances.

"We could have been more clinical but we'll just take a win in the Champions League. We had to dig deep and find another level when it mattered.

"We have been grinding results out here and there all season. We are getting wins. Today was one of our best performances of the season."

Johnnie, London: Spurs picked up 3 Nectar points after that win.

Gareth Brett: When Spurs face Inter next they really will 'Taste the Difference' of quality on display. They have to get the 'Basic's' down for that match.

Again, other supermarkets are available and all that

  19. Post update

Spurs striker Harry Kane tells BT Sport the win was "unbelievable. We fully deserved it. We attacked the whole time".

More from him and Harry Winks soon.
