    A point apiece for Birmingham City and West Bromwich Albion but Blues' winless run in the Championship continues.

    Garry Monk's side move up to 17th in the table while West Brom move up to fifth.

    "The goal before half time gives you some respite. We regrouped and we were lucky not to be two goals down.

    "It is a difficult place to come. They played really well. They were a lot better but we need to settle down for Tuesday night.

    "We can be a lot better and we're still working on our formation with new lads coming in.

    "As long as we can put points on the board, we're in with a chance."

    "The team are having good performances but for me it's important to play well."

    Che Adams chips in a short-range pass straight towards the head of Jacques Maghoma, who fools the West Brom defence to find space, but his diving effort cannons off his shoulder and away.

    Again it comes to nothing as West Brom deal with the danger and end up breaking upfield on the attack.

    A Birmingham free-kick sails into the box and it's pinballed about until West Brom can clear it away.

    Che Adams keeps the ball alive in the box and attempts another turn and shot but West Brom defender Conor Townsend is having none of it and blocks it away before Ahmed Hegazi prevents the Baggies from conceding a throw in at the wrong end of the field.
