  1. Thanks and goodnight

    Olympiakos 3-1 Burnley

That's it for our coverage of Burnley's latest European adventure. Not the best of trips for the Clarets but they can rectify that in seven days time.

We'll be here to guide you through what will hopefully be a memorable night at Turf Moor.

    I'll see thee.

  2. What next?

    Olympiakos 3-1 Burnley

The second leg of this tie is next week, on Thursday 30th.

Between then they play Fulham at Craven Cottage in the Premier League (on Sunday afternoon). After the second leg it is Manchester United visiting Turf Moor.

Darren G: At least Burnley got an away goal...

  4. Post update

    Olympiakos 3-1 Burnley

So, a 2-0 win at Turf Moor sees Burnley through to the group stage of the Europa League. A 3-1 win and they have extra-time to tackle.

Won't be easy. Olympiakos have shown tonight they are no mugs. In Kostas Fortounis they had the best player on the pitch.

    Olympiakos 3-1 Burnley

Not the result Burnley wanted, but considering the red card for Ben Gibson in the second half it could have been much worse.

This tie is not over but Chris Wood's goal gives them a chance.

  6. Post update

    Olympiakos 3-1 Burnley

Three of the four minutes have passed with notable event. Just as Burnley want it.

  7. Post update

    Olympiakos 3-1 Burnley

Four minutes of injury time added.

  8. Post update

    Olympiakos 3-1 Burnley

They nearly can you know! The ball is chipped in and then played back across goal for Sam Vokes to smuggle across the line. For a beautiful second the striker and Burnley fans think he has scored. And then they all clock the assistant's flag, ruling him offside.

That would have been very sweet for the Clarets.

  9. Post update

    Olympiakos 3-1 Burnley

Now then. Burnley have a free-kick in the Olympiakos half. Can they? Dare they?

    "We are the Longside Burnley."

Clarets fans are still in full song. It's not over until the fat lady sings. Burnley still have a threat on the counter-attack and despite the one-man disadvantage, are still searching for a second goal.

  11. Post update

    Olympiakos 3-1 Burnley

All about keeping the door closed and locked no for Burnley. Five minutes left to manage. Don't go getting any grand notions, just do the dirty work.

    Olympiakos 3-1 Burnley

Karim Ansarifard replaces Lazaros Christodoulopoulos. The man coming on is Iranian. You remember him as the man who scored his country's equaliser in injury time against Portugal at this summer's World Cup.

  13. Post update

    Olympiakos 3-1 Burnley

They've taken a few kicks here and there have Olympiakos, but they also know how to con a referee. Ashley Barnes is penalised for "fouling" Lazaros Christodoulopoulos, who goes down holding his head. Never touched him.

  14. Post update

    Olympiakos 3-1 Burnley

Before the free-kick, Sam Vokes comes on for Johann Berg Gudmundsson. His first job is to head out the free-kick before a shot is fired in from range that Tom Heaton saves.

  15. Post update

    Olympiakos 3-1 Burnley

More problems for Burnley. Charlie Taylor is late on Omar Elabdellaoui out on the left side, near the Burnley box. It earns him a deserved yellow card and concedes a dangerous free-kick.

  16. CLOSE!

    Olympiakos 3-1 Burnley

    Oh. Lucky, lucky Burnley.

Olympiakos work the ball to the edge of the box, where Miguel Angel Guerrero is waiting. He controls, buys himself a yard and then pulls the trigger, but drags his shot just inches wide.

  17. Post update

    Olympiakos 3-1 Burnley

Burnley have the means to hurt Olympiakos, as they show through a Berg Gudmundsson drive to the byline and chipped cross that the keeper spills before the ball is hacked away.

However, in pushing forward they leave themselves wide open and are lucky that Olympiakos' passing lets them down on the counter.

  18. Post update

    Olympiakos 3-1 Burnley

Burnley are having to dig in like an England tailender. Olympiakos should probably be 4-1 up. Bouchalakis rises in the box to meet a corner and smashes his effort wide. He had a run at it, had beaten his marker. It should be a goal.

Twenty long, potentially painful minutes for the Clarets to try to survive.

Jeff Hendrick in action with Mohamed Camara

    Olympiakos 3-1 Burnley

Another Burnley sub. Aaron Lennon replaces Stephen Ward. He'll go wide right, Johann Berg Gudmundsson will shift to left midfield and Charlie Taylor back to left-back.

  20. Post update

    Olympiakos 3-1 Burnley

It is two banks of four for the Clarets and Ashley Barnes up top, tasked with chasing everything he can.
