  16. Agonising encounter

    Poland Women 2-0 Scotland Women

    Martin Dowden

    BBC Sport Scotland in Poland

Frustration levels in the Scotland camp must be going through the roof. It is a long way back now and hopes of finishing top of the group look to be ending here in Poland.

The two goals conceded have been so, so soft. Given all the possession and territory Scotland have enjoyed they must feel they should have troubled the goal more than they have.

I don’t think anyone watching this could argue that Poland are a better side on this evidence. That does not matter though. They are on course for the points, a result that will be hugely damaging to Scotland.
