  1. Post update

Right, that is your Euro footy lot for the evening. Two game, eight goals and a whole lot of laughs.

    See you later.

  2. FULL-TIME

    Villarreal 2-2 Real Madrid

    All good clean fun.

Real Madrid excellent as attacking individuals in the first half, suspect as a defensive unit in the second.

  3. Post update

    Villarreal 2-2 Real Madrid

Lucas Vazquez with an gold-edged silver-platter of a chance to take all three points and the Real Madrid midfielder slashes his volley wide from 10 yards.

He was unmarked, the goalkeeper was nowhere.

Two of four extra minutes have been played.

  4. Post update

    Villarreal 2-2 Real Madrid

Karim Benzema with a superb shot that is sneaking into the far post, Andres Fernandez with an even better save, stretching out to palm the ball round the Villarreal post.

  5. YELLOW CARD

    Villarreal 2-2 Real Madrid

Toni Kroos goes into the book for a lazy trip on Samu Castillejo as the Villarreal man stands him up with a little lollipop on the edge of the box.

No complaints from the Real sting-puller.

  6. GOAL - Villarreal 2-2 Real Madrid

    Samu Castillejo

Villarreal have taken the long way back into this one.

Once again Real Madrid look schoolboy-level leaky at the back.

Marcelo is caught between dropping and pushing up and does neither allowing Samu Castillejo to latch onto a simple ball over the top, round the goalkeeper and slide home a shot from a tight angle.

Liverpool will be licking their lips if Real defend like that next weekend.

  7. Post update

    Villarreal 1-2 Real Madrid

This is getting a bit tasty.

Marcelo complains about a Villarreal tackle as he jumps out the way rather than take his chances with a steamroller sliding challenge.

And then Rodri Hernandez and Samu Castillejo go into the book for the hosts.

  8. Post update

    Villarreal 1-2 Real Madrid

Karim Benzema gets down the channel for Real Madrid and drills hard and low into the gloves of Andres Fernandez.

At the other end Casemiro is forced into a full-stretch block as Villarreal break at pace and with intent.

  9. GOAL - Villarreal 1-2 Real Madrid

    Roger Martinez

    Whomph!

You don't save those. You, your mate, and the three piece suite all packed into the goalmouth don't save those.

An absolute rocket off the right peg of Villarreal slams into the top corner of Luca Zidane's goal.

    Nice.

  10. Post update

    Bayern Munich 1-3 Eintract Frankfurt

Well, that was all very entertaining.

Eintracht Frankfurt, eighth in the Bundesliga, upset Bayern Munich's Double-bound applecart to secure a Europa League place into the bargain.

A superb demonstration of Niko Kovac's coaching chops before he swaps sides in the summer.

  11. FULL-TIME

    Bayern Munich 1-3 Eintract Frankfurt

I'm not sure that the referee ever blew the final whistle, but the Frankfurt players are too busy partying, the Bayern players are too busy complaining... Let's just call the whole thing done.

  12. GOAL - Bayern Munich 1-3 Eintract Frankfurt

    Mijat Gacinovic

And Eintracht Frankfurt clear the corner and, with Sven Ulriech in the opposite box, substitute Mijat Gacinovic races upfield to score a winner.

What a finale. What a final.

  13. No penalty

    Bayern Munich 1-2 Eintract Frankfurt

    No penalty!

  14. PENALTY APPEAL

    Bayern Munich 1-2 Eintract Frankfurt

Kevin Prince Boateng attempts to clear and catches Javi Martinez on the heel.

The Bayern Munich man goes down and we are going to VAR...

The crowd volume drops to near silent.

    What's the decision?

  15. Post update

    Bayern Munich 1-2 Eintract Frankfurt

Bayern Munich are humping Hail Mary passes into the Eintracht Frankfurt box. Sven Ulreich is up from the back....

  16. Post update

    Bayern Munich 1-2 Eintract Frankfurt

Defender David Abraham flicks the header away from the Eintracht Frankfurt goal, but at the expense of a corner.

    Joshua Kimmich unmarked!

    But the full-back heads over!

  17. Post update

    Bayern Munich 1-2 Eintract Frankfurt

Lukas Hradecky claims a catch in the Eintracht Frankfurt goal.

We are heading into added time...

  18. Post update

    Bayern Munich 1-2 Eintract Frankfurt

Javi Martinez's shot deflects wide of the Eintracht Frankfurt goal...there is time for the corner though.

Not until Sebastian Haller replaces goalscorer Ante Rebic though.

  19. Post update

    Bayern Munich 1-2 Eintract Frankfurt

All hands to the pump for Eintracht Frankfurt.

And that could be vital. Kevin-Prince Boateng buys a free-kick as he collides with Kingsley Coman.

Frankfurt are going to run down the clock as best they can.

    Three to go.

  20. Post update

    Bayern Munich 1-2 Eintract Frankfurt

The underdogs have five minutes to hang on and secure their first German Cup in 30 years, twelve months after losing at in the showpiece final.
