    That's all from me today.

Brazil are into the quarter-finals but who will they play? Join Tom Rostance as he brings you updates on Belgium v Japan.

There's also a few other things you should check out:

As they say in Russia, "пока!"

  2. Post update

Last but by no means least...

Roberto Firmino is the substitute that nobody can understand.

He's been in terrific form for Liverpool, has done well for Brazil in qualifying and grabbed another goal today within two minutes of coming on.

Does he warrant a decent rating?

Philippe Coutinho, who has arguably been Brazil's best player in Russia so far, drew a decent save from Guillermo Ochoa.

The Mexican keeper impressed me tonight with some decent stops. But ultimately he conceded two.

Neymar had Brazili's first real chance of that game and was a menace down the left in a first half with few opportunities for the favourites.

  9. 'Terrific game'

    Brazil 2-0 Mexico

    Tim Vickery

BBC Sport South American football expert

Terrific game. Mexico weren't going to be able to keep up that high press after the first 25 minutes. They will be dwelling on a good chance in the first half but what a great opening goal by Neymar, who combined well with Willian. Mexico pushed them all the way and both sides tried to impose themselves on the other.

  10. Casemiro loss for Brazil

    Brazil 2-0 Mexico

The biggest blow for Brazil will be the loss of Casemiro for their quarter-final against Japan or Belgium.

He's been a mainstay in midfield so far in Russia but will miss the next game through suspension after picking up a second yellow card in this match.

In that match he made more passes than any other Brazilian (50), more passes in the opposition half (26) and more tackles (6).

    ROCK.

    Brazil 2-0 Mexico

Tom Rostance, who you might be familiar with as he's the KING of BBC live texts, has just suggested Mexico are the 'Arsenal of the World Cup'.

It's the seventh successive last 16 defeat for Mexico.

  12. 'Firmino putting the pressure on'

    Brazil 2-0 Mexico

    Tim Vickery

BBC Sport South American football expert

Gabriel Jesus has gone four games without scoring and the pressure is building. Going into the tournament he was first choice, but Firmino is really starting to put the pressure on, which is great for Brazil. It means they have lots of options and they are going to take some stopping.

    .

He's even prepared to dive into the net. What a guy.

    Brazil 2-0 Mexico

Neymar has attempted the most shots (23) and shots on target (12), as well as creating the most goalscoring chances for his team-mates (16) and suffering the most fouls (23) at the 2018 World Cup.

He's certainly been involved. It's a shame about the theatrics.

  15. Neymar decisive but not magnificent

    Brazil 2-0 Mexico

A goal and an assist for Neymar and he still didn't look at his best.

He was all over the show though as Brazil enjoyed success down his left-hand side, as well as Willian's on the right.

What did you make of his performance? Let me know using #bbcworldcup

Sean: Imagine what a great team Mexico could be if they passed instead of going for glory all the time. They passed a lot for the last few minutes which was good but too little too late.

Paul: Neymar was stood on. Should have been a red card for the Mexican. But you know why I'm not surprised it wasn't given? Because he rolls around and play acts so much its hard believe when he's fouled anymore. Heard of the boy who cried wolf?

Steven: Sorry but Gabriel Jesus is absolutely bang average

  18. 'Professional performance'

    Brazil 2-0 Mexico

    Dion Dublin

Ex-Aston Villa striker on BBC Radio 5 live

That is what I would call a professional performance by a team with so much quality. Brazil will be happy with the clean sheet, the organisation and the work rate in this heat, but Mexico pushed them hard.
