  1. Over and out

Well, that's it from a dramatic, and at times controversial, Irish Cup sixth-round day.

Cliftonville have bragging rights over their north Belfast rivals Crusaders, while in the other two all-Premiership ties Glenavon saw off Dungannon Swifts and Ballymena eventually overcame Ballinamallard on penalties after going 2-0 behind in the first half.

It was a red letter day for Curtis Allen as he scored all four in Glentoran's 4-0 win at Ballyclare, Coleraine proved too strong for neighbours Institute and Loughgall caused an upset as they defeated eight-man Ards.

Linfield edged out Newry City and Larne hammered Dundela 6-1.

Keep an eye out for the goals appearing on the BBC Sport NI website tonight and join us again for coverage of the second League Cup semi-final between Ballymena United and Cliftonville, plus three Premiership games, on Tuesday night.

And we'll be back for a full programme of top-flight action next Saturday. Bye for now.

  2. What they said

Ballymena Utd 2-2 Ballinamallard Utd (Ballymena win 4-3 on penalties)

Quote Message: I'm delighted to be through to the last eight, albeit on penalties. Ballinamallard scored two cracking goals and only a phenomenal save by Ross Glendinning kept us in it. Johnny McMurray got us back in it before half-time and we missed four or five good chances in the second half. We practiced penalties on Thursday night and that preparation and the ability of our players got us through to the next round. from David Jeffrey Ballymena United manager

  3. What they said

    Glenavon 3-0 Dungannon Swifts

Quote Message: Cup football is all about getting into the next round and winning the match on the day and we did that comprehensively. I thought we were superb from minute one through to minute 90 and if we had come in at half-time maybe two or three up, I don't think anyone could have complained and in the second half, the boys came out and finished the job off. from Gary Hamilton Glenavon manager

  4. What they said

Ballymena Utd 2-2 Ballinamallard Utd (Ballymena win 4-3 on pens)

Quote Message: I'm very proud of my players - they put in a massive performance and when it goes to penalties it's a lottery. The boys put in a great shift in extra-time but fair play to Ballymena - they kept going and good luck to them in the next round. from Gavin Dykes Ballinamallard United manager

  5. What they said

    Glenavon 3-0 Dungannon Swifts

Quote Message: I don't think we got ourselves going. Glenavon played forward very quickly from the very first whistle and put us under pressure with the ball in behind us. I thought we suffered a little bit of a hangover from our midweek match. I can't be too hard on the players because they put in a massive shift on Tuesday night but we haven't done well enough today and we've paid the price by going out of the cup, which is disappointing. from Rodney McAree Dungannon Swifts manager

  14. What they said

    Cliftonville 4-1 Crusaders

Quote Message: We've lost a game of football here today because the referee chose to make some decisions which completely beggar belief and that is the way football is sometimes. To say it is totally unacceptable is way short of the mark. The referee is in control of the game and lets the penalty be taken. Declan Caddell is the full length of the pitch he has marched down and is on the edge of the Cliftonville box. The fourth official chooses to make the decision that he wasn't off the pitch. from Stephen Baxter Crusaders manager

  15. What they said

    Linfield 1-0 Newry City

Quote Message: We've put ourselves in the next round but our performance was short of what it could have been. Newry worked hard, were disciplined and credit to them - they made it difficult for us and were hard to break down. We had two or three other 'half chances' but weren't quick enough moving the ball or off the ball. Our name is in the hat but we need to be better than we were today. from David Healy Linfield manager

  16. CLOSE!

    Ballymena Utd 2-2 Ballinamallard Utd

Gary Armstrong has gone close for Ballinamallard, with Kevin Braniff firing wide for Ballymena.

A Kyle Owens header has been cleared off the line.

  17. What they said

    Cliftonville 4-1 Crusaders

Quote Message: I'm delighted for the players and for everyone involved. The fans got a spectacle today - they got free-flowing football and plenty of goals to cheer and a massive, massive result. The player (Declan Caddell) that has been sent off hadn't left the field of play. The penalty was taken and missed but you can't do it, under the letter of the law, when the player hasn't left the field. We were delighted to get the chance to take it again and some days you need a wee bit of luck. from Barry Gray Cliftonville manager
    Barry GrayCliftonville manager
  18. What they said

    Ballyclare Comrades 0-4 Glentoran

Quote Message: I was really pleased with the boys' efforts. I knew the boys would be right up for it and it was a very competent performance. We took the two early chances we had and gained confidence from that. Our two new players settled in well and it was a great day for Curtis (Allen). from Gary Haveron Glentoran manager
    Gary HaveronGlentoran manager

    Ballymena Utd 2-2 Balllinamallard Utd

Not much to report so far in the first period of extra-time.

Johnny McMurray had a shot brilliantly saved by Richard Brush though, the big striker denied a potential hat-trick for now by the visiting keeper.
