    FT: Cardiff City 1-0 Hull City

    Well there ends another exciting Saturday of EFL action here on BBC Sport.

    It's as you were at the top of the Championship with Cardiff City winning the late game to stay four points behind Wolves and four ahead of Bristol City, who beat Nottingham Forest 2-1 earlier today.

    In League One, Wigan are also four points clear after winning 4-0 on their first-ever trip to AFC Wimbledon, while Luton have opened up a two-point gap at the top of League Two after their 2-0 win at Forest Green Rovers, who have slipped to the foot of the table.

    Sunderland celebrate their home win over Fulham

    With all our games now over for the day, here's a reminder of today's Championship headlines:

    • Cardiff beat Hull City in the late game to close the gap on leaders Wolves to four points.
    • Sunderland get their first home win in 364 days thanks to 18-year-old Josh Maja's goal five minutes after coming on for his senior debut against Fulham.
    • Birmingham drop to the foot of the Championship after losing 2-1 at home to QPR - who claimed their first away win since February with Jack Robinson's brace.
    • Goals from Marlon Pack and Joe Bryan helped third-placed Bristol City beat Nottingham Forest 2-1.
    • Derby consolidate fourth place with a 2-0 win at home to fifth-placed Aston Villa.
    • Lloyd Dyer's volley helps Burton move off the bottom and above opponents Bolton.

    Cardiff boss Neil Warnock

    Cardiff City boss Neil Warnock showered skipper Sol Bamba with praise after this evening's victory.

    "I wouldn't swap him for anybody in the Premier League or the Championship, he's a colossus," Warnock told Sky Sports.

    "It's a great platform when you've got a spine like that.

    "When you think we've got four or five of our first-team players coming back in the next few weeks it's given us that incentive today. It's as good a three points as we'll ever get in the circumstances today."

    "It was a tough first half for me, not feeling the best, but I tried to dig deep.

    Josh Maja scored on his league debut to give struggling Sunderland their first win at the Stadium of Light in nearly a year with victory over Fulham, moving them out of the drop-zone.

    Sunderland matchwinner Josh Maja told BBC Newcastle: "It was just a crazy feeling to score my first league goal, especially against my old club Fulham, and I'm just buzzing with the victory.

    "I think the manager has more belief in each and every single one of the players.

    "I'll be enjoying the moment but I'll stay grounded and humble and keep working hard to stay in the team."

    Jack Robinson's double gave QPR their first away success of the season with a narrow win at lowly Birmingham City, ending a 17-match winless run away from Loftus Road.

    On Jack Robinson, QPR boss Ian Holloway quipped: "It is 115 games without him scoring in the league and I have just asked the doping people to test him. Something must be going on. Joking apart, the boy has been magnificent.

    "I must say I am so proud of him. I am bursting with pride and I told him that before the game.

    "The away win has been a long time coming but we have had to shake it off. This division is frightening as there are teams who have gone eight games without a win."

  17. 'We are resilient this year'

    Bristol City

    Bristol City continued their impressive form with a hard-fought home victory over Nottingham Forest, their fourth successive Championship win. Both home goals came from outside the box.

    Asked if his or Marlon Pack's strike was better, Joe Bryan said: "I think Marlon's was better - he deserves it, his GIF was good as well.

    "We are resilient this year and we can grind out victories."
