  1. Goodnight

    FT: Reading 2-2 Cardiff

    Lee Tomlin celebrates

So an end to both sides' winning runs, but a point certainly feels a whole lot better for Cardiff.

Thanks for following along with me this evening and please join us again on Friday when Championship leaders Wolves travel to Sheffield Wednesday looking to extend their lead.

In the meantime, stay safe in the snow.

  2. Post update

    FT: Reading 2-2 Cardiff

The late comeback from Cardiff means they stay second but cut Wolves' lead at the top of the Championship table to four points.

Reading, meanwhile, move up to 14th with a draw, but they're still 10 points off the play-offs.

  3. Reaction

    FT: Reading 2-2 Cardiff

Reading midfielder Dave Edwards tells Sky Sports:

"We're gutted. We were comfortable at the break. We knew there would be an onslaught in the second half.

"We didn't quite play our football in the second half and that's credit to Cardiff - they put us under a lot pressure.

"We're gutted we can't keep our run going. I believe we're one of the best sides in the league. If we want to reach the top six we need to win from those kinds of positions."

  4. Reaction

    FT: Reading 2-2 Cardiff

Cardiff goalscorer Lee Tomlin tells Sky Sports:

"It just proves our character. We dig deep and that's what happens when you don't take your foot off the gas.

"It's a lot of effort for the travelling fans to come out in the cold and I'm glad we've rewarded them."

    Reading 2-2 Cardiff

And that's the last action of a brilliant game, which Cardiff turned on its head.

Neil Warnock may have been sent to the stands, but his side showed character to come from 2-0 down and get a point. Joe Bennett and substitute Lee Tomlin with the goals.

  9. GOAL - Reading 2-2 Cardiff

    Lee Tomlin

    Drama at the Madejski!

Sol Bamba hits the bar with a header, but it comes back for Lee Tomlin who hammers another shot into the underside of the bar, only for it to drop down over the line.

What a time for him to get his first goal for the club.

  13. YELLOW CARD - Bacuna (Reading)

    Reading 2-1 Cardiff

Junior Hoilett skins Leandro Bacuna who brings him down and is booked. It's a dangerous place to give away a set piece too.

  14. Post update

    Reading 2-1 Cardiff

Reading are on the back foot now.

Cardiff are overloading the flanks and another cross falls to Joe Ralls. He fires in a powerful shot, but the Royals get a body in the way.

  18. SUBSTITUTION for Cardiff

    Reading 2-0 Cardiff

Callum Paterson is replaced by Lee Tomlin for the closing stages. Can he work some magic and make the final minutes nervy for the hosts?

  19. Warnock sent to the stands

    Reading 2-0 Cardiff

Neil Warnock chats to referee Steve Martin

Referee Steve Martin gives a dubious free-kick against Callum Paterson and it's all too much for Neil Warnock.

He's been dismissed from the touchline.

  20. Post update

    Reading 2-0 Cardiff

It's all gone a bit quiet at the Madejski, which of course suits Reading just fine.

There's no Kenneth Zohore on the bench for Cardiff - he's still recovering from an injury - but Neil Warnock can call on Lee Tomlin if he fancies it.
