  1. Good night

So two draws against two of the best teams in the world over a weekend - all with half a team missing.

Plenty for Gareth Southgate and co to enjoy. Next time they can focus on scoring goals and not just keeping them out.

That's us done for the night though. See you soon!

  2. 'It gives me huge heart'

    England 0-0 Brazil

    Gareth Southgate

England manager Gareth Southgate on 5 live: "Joe Gomez has been one of the best young players in our system for a long time. He has come back from an ACL injury and showed great character and tonight he's had a wonderful experience.

"He relishes defending, his athleticism was outstanding.

"It gives me plenty to think about. We are in the early stages of piecing this team together. It gives me huge heart. We took some brave decisions and goodness me the young players have rewarded me with some top performances."

  3. What happens now?

With European World Cup qualifying at an end, we now know 30 of the 32 teams who will compete at next summer's finals in Russia.

Who's in the World Cup? When's the draw? How does it all work? Who are the favourites? BBC Sport has a look.

  4. 'We were well beaten'

    Republic of Ireland 1-5 Denmark

Republic of Ireland boss Martin O'Neill: "We're really disappointed. We were well beaten in the end. The two goals we conceded within a couple of minutes knocked us. They were really poor goals to concede. We had to chase the game and Denmark took advantage. They deserved to go through.

“We had two great chances to make it 2-0. We needed either of those to go in to get a real foothold in the game. That didn't happen and Denmark were clinical."

SMS Message: Take this list - Sterling, Lallana, Ali, Kane, Sturridge, Carrick, Clyne... Just a few to add to the youngsters. Not at all bad. Southgate has options, good ideas and plans. The way he has handled things for the two friendlies has been excellent. from George, Rugby

  6. Clean sheets are made of these

    England 0-0 Brazil

    Joe Hart

Joe Hart made his 75th appearance for England, just the third goalkeeper to reach this total after David Seaman (75) and Peter Shilton (125).

Hart became the first England goalkeeper to keep a clean sheet against Brazil since Peter Shilton in June 1984.

  8. 'Thank you very much'

    Republic of Ireland 1-5 Denmark

    Christian Eriksen
    Image caption: Close him down?

Denmark boss Age Hareide: "It was very good. Especially when we came from behind. We didn't get stressed. We tried to play and we got the goals. I am very pleased with the team and the performance. This is a difficult place to play football - scoring five goals against the Republic of Ireland does not happen."

On how much space they had: "I was surprised. They played with a diamond and that gave us lots of space and I just say thank you very much.

"Christian Eriksen is a fantastic player. An inspiration for those around him. He is a world class player.

"The lads stuck together and gave a fantastic performance in a difficult game."

  9. 'Up there with anything I've been involved in'

    England 0-0 Brazil

    Gareth Southgate

England manager Gareth Southgate, speaking to ITV: "In terms of heart, resilience and spirit it was up there with anything I’ve been involved in.

"We couldn’t get hold of the ball and keep it. Tonight we just showed resilience, guts and some outstanding defending and I’m incredibly proud.

"We had the best defensive record in Europe in qualifying and we’ve played the best two teams in the world and not conceded.

"When you dig in you get half chances and we had them at the end and could have won the game. It’s a base to work from.

"Joe Gomez's performance against top players - like all of the defending – was outstanding. It was a top performance."

  10. 'Aguero just a scare'

    Tim Vickery

BBC Sport South American football expert

    Sergio Aguero

Sergio Aguero was already feeling unwell during the first half against Nigeria and at half-time in the dressing room he had a blackout.

Perhaps it was a premonition of how badly they would play in the second half.

He is already back in the hotel - it was just a little scare.

  11. 'I think more like a striker'

    Republic of Ireland 1-5 Denmark

    Christian Eriksen

Denmark's hat-trick hero Christian Eriksen: "It is an incredible feeling. We have been fighting for so long to get to the World Cup. We are very much looking forward to it.

"It is not often I score any hat-trick so of course it is incredible. The second goal was the most technical one, better than the others. I know how nervous I was all day and night. We got the ball, we played better than the first game.

"Mentally I have grown up. I take the more clinical shot rather than passing. I am thinking more like a striker."

  12. Post update

England - and Brazil, and Denmark - will find out who they will be playing in the World Cup during the draw on 1 December.

You can join me for that one.

  13. 'A high quality test for Brazil'

    England 0-0 Brazil

    Tim Vickery

BBC Sport South American football expert

It's a good time to have a disappointment. It was a high quality test for Brazil, the first time they have played against European opposition in this cycle.

They have swept through a poor qualifying group but trying to break down the English defence proved much harder. From a Brazilian point of view it looked like a potential knockout match in the World Cup, where the opponents are happy to sit back,

England nearly won the game in the space behind Marcelo so Brazil have a few things to dwell on.

It wasn't Neymar's greatest game but Brazil already knew that their hardest games will be against the best western European teams.

  14. 'It's a great honour'

    England 0-0 Brazil

Joe Gomez speaking to ITV: "We put in a good shift and we're happy with that. It's a great honour, I'll keep trying to improve and hopefully more of these days will come."

RWJS1979: Tom, who we need is a certain Phil Foden at #MCFC he can take on a man, pick a pass... An English David Silva... Will totally change the dynamic of our midfield.

Bob Hawkins: I really don't understand all the negativity, a very good defensive display with most of our creative players injured...& Brazil aren't bad

Adam Oldroyd: The one crucial fact, that Southgate has learned from the 2 friendlies, is that lots of players still have the desire and passion, to wear the white shirt of England with pride

  16. 'Defenders were phenomenal'

    England 0-0 Brazil

    Joe Hart

Joe Hart speaking to ITV: "I thought the defensive backline were phenomenal. Joe (Gomez) played against one of the best players in the world and was excellent. We have played two of the best teams in the world, we didn’t win, but we didn’t lose.

"This was a good trip for Joe Gomez, Dominic Solanke, Jordan Pickford - we want England to do well in the future and we always do our best."

  17. Back three impressing

    England 0-0 Brazil

    Phil Neville

Former England & Man Utd defender on BBC Radio 5 live

    Joe Gomez

This is the system Gareth wants to go to the World Cup. I thought Gomez was outstanding, Stones has become a quality centre-back, Maguire has come on as well.

  18. 'People say it's boring but...'

    England 0-0 Brazil

    Chris Waddle

Ex-Newcastle and England winger for 5 live Sport

It's better. I know people think it's boring, but if you play against a quality side and open yourself up, you get exploited. Against the best teams, this is what you have to do if you want to progress in a tournament.

  19. Post update

    It certainly sounds that way.

  20. BreakingColeman staying?

    Wales 1-1 Panama

Wales boss Chris Coleman on BBC Two: "We got loads of experience into the young players, that's important. We give Panama credit, we found it hard to break them down.

"A huge thank you to our fans who came tonight, they are our hard core.

"I think I am the man to lead them, yeah, but there's a bit more to it than that. That will happen very shortly, very quick.

"I have never lost the desire to represent Wales."
