  1. See you in a fortnight

    Steve Cotterill

Our next live text coverage of the EFL is on Friday, 13 October when we'll have two matches from the Championship.

Leaders Cardiff will be the opponents for Birmingham - who will have new manager Steve Cotterill in charge for the first time.

One of Cotterill's former clubs, in-form Bristol City, will be at home to struggling Burton.

    Until then, goodbye.

  2. Post update

    FT: Sheffield Wednesday 3-0 Leeds

That win for Sheffield Wednesday moves them up to 12th in the Championship.

    Leeds drop to fifth.

And that my friends is the EFL done until after the international break. What are we going to do for the next couple of weeks?!

  3. Reaction

    FT: Sheffield Wednesday 3-0 Leeds

Sheffield Wednesday striker Gary Hooper tells Sky Sports:

"The last two games weren't the best, but today we turned up and I thought it was a good win.

"I should have had a hat-trick but seven [goals] in seven [games] is good going.

"It's the win going into the international break."

  4. Post update

    FT: Sheffield Wednesday 3-0 Leeds

    Gary Hooper

Two Gary Hooper goals and a wonder strike from Kieran Lee saw off a below-par Leeds side.

It's now three defeats in four matches for The Whites, while Sheffield Wednesday bounce back from defeats against Sheffield United and Birmingham.

    Reaction coming up...

    Sheffield Wednesday 3-0 Leeds

That's as comfortable as it gets in a local derby.

  6. Hooper hits the bar

    Sheffield Wednesday 3-0 Leeds

How has that not gone in?!

Gary Hooper finds some space in the area but smashes the ball against the crossbar.

It was actually a stunning save by Felix Wiedwald.

That was the hat-trick chance for the Wednesday striker.

Moments later, Owls substitute Liam Palmer is the first man to go into the book.

  7. Post update

    Sheffield Wednesday 3-0 Leeds

The hosts are just seeing this game out now.

Nothing stupid will be the order of the day for Carlos Carvalhal's men.

Kieran Lee's goal has saved them the prospect of any late danger should Leeds score now.

    Kieran Lee

    Sheffield Wednesday 3-0 Leeds

Ross Wallace and Samu Saiz are lucky to get away without a booking there.

The two men go head-to-head and exchange words, but no action is taken.

Meanwhile Steven Fletcher is replaced by Jordan Rhodes for the last few minutes for Wednesday.

  9. Post update

    Sheffield Wednesday 3-0 Leeds

There will be six additional minutes because of the injury to Leeds defender Pontus Jansson earlier in the half.

  10. Post update

    Sheffield Wednesday 3-0 Leeds

Is the honeymoon period over for Leeds manager Thomas Christiansen?

They've looked off the pace today against their Yorkshire rivals and it will now be three defeats in their last four Championship matches.

Perhaps the international break has come at a good time.

    Sheffield Wednesday 3-0 Leeds

    Barry Bannan

Barry Bannan goes off to a standing ovation at Hillsborough. The little midfielder has been a maestro this afternoon.

    On comes Jacob Butterfield.

  12. Post update

    Sheffield Wednesday 3-0 Leeds

That was just an instinctive strike from Kieran Lee to make it 3-0.

An absolute stunner. Worldie. Whatever you want to call it. It was unsaveable.

  13. GOAL: Sheffield Wednesday 3-0 Leeds

    Kieran Lee

You will not see a sweeter strike than that all season!

Kieran Lee latches onto a loose clearance and smashes a wonderful half-volley into the bottom corner from 30 yards.

It absolutely flew past Felix Wiedwald.

    Game over.

    Kieran Lee
  14. Bannan hits the post

    Sheffield Wednesday 2-0 Leeds

    How unlucky is that?

Barry Bannan, Wednesday's star player in this game, collects the ball in the box after a flowing team move, and bends his shot against the post.

    He deserves a goal.

  15. Post update

    Sheffield Wednesday 2-0 Leeds

    This does not shock me!

Gaetano Berardi and Ross Wallace, both never shy of a word or two, clash in the middle of the pitch.

It calms down quickly, but it's not one you want to be in the middle of.

  16. Post update

    Sheffield Wednesday 2-0 Leeds

    Chaos around the Leeds box!

Gaetano Berardi does superbly to divert a dangerous low cross away from Gary Hooper before Ross Wallace smashes a shot from 30 yards which Felix Wiedwald saves.

  17. Post update

    Sheffield Wednesday 2-0 Leeds

Oh Samu, you have to do better there!

Pablo Hernandez finds Saiz free in the box, but the Spanish winger's tame effort is pushed wide by Owls goalkeeper Joe Wildsmith.

    Is that last-chance saloon gone?

  18. Post update

    Sheffield Wednesday 2-0 Leeds

    Kalvin Phillips

The good news for Leeds is that Kalvin Phillips is back on.

Ross Wallace eventually gives away a free-kick after a couple of corners, allowing the visitors to clear their lines.

  19. Post update

    Sheffield Wednesday 2-0 Leeds

And now Kalvin Phillips is down moments after that collision with team-mate Pontus Jansson.

Leeds have used all three substitutes - so they may have to end this match with 10 men.

First they have to defend a corner with a man disadvantage as Phillips hobbles to the touchline.

    Sheffield Wednesday 2-0 Leeds

    Pontus Jansson

Pontus Jansson is carried off on a stretcher holding his face. I'm not quite sure where he has injured himself, but I'll bring you news as soon as I have it.

Northern Ireland midfielder Stuart Dallas replaces the Leeds defender.
