  1. Post update

Well it wasn't a classic, but who thought Leicester versus West Brom would be?

That's it from us. See you later.

  2. 'We could do with a win'

    Leicester 1-1 West Brom

Leicester boss Craig Shakespeare, speaking to BBC Sport: "When you have as much possession as we did and then go a goal down you are always worried how it affects the players but we showed the spirit we have and the resilience and we deserved a goal.

On Riyad Mahrez's impact: "I left him out against Bournemouth, gave him a kick up the backside and he was excellent in training. You want the response and the right response.

"We could do with a win, make no mistake. I see them in training everyday in terms of the quality and endeavour. Once we get that win then hopefully we will climb up the table.

"We know what we have to do. It is tight down there and one win takes you three or four places up and that is what we aim to do."

    Craig Shakespeare
  3. 'If you are not right on it, you get punished'

    Leicester 1-1 West Brom

West Brom boss Tony Pulis, speaking to BBC Sport: "When we scored the goal I felt we became more comfortable but every game in this league is tough. Unless you are right on it you are not going to get what you deserve.

"We defended really well and protected Boaz who was struggling. Ben Foster has a problem with his knee and we are a bit concerned about that. Until he has the scan we are not sure.

"There were real opportunities for us. We need to get results because outside the top six this league is so, so tough."

  4. Mahrez off the mark - the stats

    Leicester 1-1 West Brom

    • Leicester have enjoyed just one win in their last 11 top-flight games, drawing four and losing six.
    • West Brom have registered just two wins in their last 17 Premier League games (D6 L9), after winning eight of the 17 before that.
    • Nacer Chadli netted his first goal in his last 12 Premier League appearances, since scoring against West Ham on February 11 2017.
    • West Brom scored with their only shot on target of the game.
    • West Brom have now scored 47 set-piece goals (excl. penalties) in the Premier League since Tony Pulis took charge, more than any other side.
    • Riyad Mahrez scored his first goal in his last 11 Premier League appearances, since netting against Watford back in May.
    • The Foxes have picked up just six points from their first eight Premier League games this season, their lowest haul at this stage since 2003/04 (5).
  5. 'Not a classic'

    Leicester 1-1 West Brom

Leicester keeper Kasper Schmeichel, speaking to Sky Sports: "I don't think we will get points for it being a classic. It can't have been a great game to watch. We had a lot of the ball but didn't get to grips with having as much of the ball as we did. They came here, were taking their time and trying to take the tempo out of the game. On reflection we had chances to win but it was probably a fair result."

On the West Brom goal: "I was struggling to see it from the start. I thought it would have to be a heck of a shot to get it over a big wall like that. It is frustrating, it was a good strike but as a keeper if you can't see the ball you struggle to make an impact."

  6. 'I wasn't coming off'

    Leicester 1-1 West Brom

West Brom keeper Boaz Myhill, speaking to Sky Sports: "It is a great point, a battling point. A great free-kick, gutted we couldn't hold on but they are a tough team in a difficult moment."

On a collision with Jamie Vardy: "I was put in a situation where I had to take one for the team, thankfully they didn't score and thankfully I didn't get sent off. We both went into each other, I'll let the people who watch on TV decide who did what."

On whether the collision caused an injury: "It was all one thing. I tried to get up and see how it was, it wasn't great. I think it was (a dead leg). I hadn't played for a year, I wasn't coming off. No chance."

  20. Post update

    Leicester 0-1 West Brom

Leicester's title win was a fairy tale story but it must certainly feel like a thing of fantasy to Foxes fans now because their side look a shadow of their former selves. Poor crosses and wayward passes the story of their performance so far in this game.
