  3. Post update

    Tottenham 1-0 Bournemouth

Spurs on the break, Nkoudou tries to reach an overhit Moussa Sissoko pass as white shirts pour forward, but Asmir Begovic brings down the winger.

Free-kick, dangerous area, but more importantly, Nkoudou has stayed down. Let's hope the youngster is OK...

  6. Post update

    Tottenham 1-0 Bournemouth

    Eric Dier: Twinkle Toes.

That's a lovely bit of skill from the midfielder inside the Bournemouth box to create a chance for himself, but his toe-poke is deflected over by Steve Cook.

  7. SUBSTITUTION

    Here's a rare one.

It's Harry Kane off for Fernando Llorente.

  8. Post update

    Tottenham 1-0 Bournemouth

    Great save from Asmir Begovic.

Christian Eriksen combines well with Moussa Sissoko to find space on the edge of the box and fizzes a left-footed effort towards goal, but the former Chelsea stopper does well to tip it over.

  9. Post update

    Tottenham 1-0 Bournemouth

Those changes looked to have given Bournemouth some renewed impetus.

Jordon Ibe is looking lively, and Jermain Defoe just loves Wembley...

  10. CLOSE!

    Tottenham 1-0 Bournemouth

    Couldn't you just call it?

Jermain Defoe causing his old club problems almost immediately as Jordon Ibe slips a neat pass into the forward's path.

The former Spurs striker turns sharply and gets a shot on goal, but Hugo Lloris gets down well to meet it.

  11. SUBSTITUTIONS

    Tottenham 1-0 Bournemouth

Here we go, ringing the changes...

Moussa Sissoko on for Son Heung-min, while for Bournemouth it's Jermain Defoe and Jordon Ibe on for Lewis Cook and Junior Stanislas.

    That's better from the Cherries.

Junior Stanislas showing a turn of pace that threatens to trouble the Tottenham defence.

Lewis Cook is getting into good positions too, and it's the Under-20s World Cup winner who earns the visitors a corner.

  14. Post update

Bournemouth have stemmed the Tottenham tide a little.

They're getting men behind the ball again and looking to frustrate the hosts, who can afford to be a little more patient now.

  15. CLOSE!

    Tottenham 1-0 Bournemouth

Harry Kane has to score, doesn't he?

He gets two bites at the cherry, first drawing Asmir Begovic into a low save from inside the box, before Dele Alli gets the rebound and feeds the England striker - who is denied by the Cherries stopper again.

Harry Kane of Tottenham Hotspur shoots
  16. Post update

    Tottenham 1-0 Bournemouth

The trouble for Bournemouth now is, every time they go forward it's Spurs who look dangerous on the break.

Christian Eriksen skips down the left as the hosts clear a corner, before finding Harry Winks arriving on the right.

Winks goes low, whipping a cross into the six-yard box, but it's cleared.

  17. DISALLOWED GOAL

    Tottenham 1-0 Bournemouth

    Harry Kane on target....

No! It's offside. A lovely ball from Kieran Trippier, but the prolific forward had strayed beyond the Bournemouth defence before he headed past Asmir Begovic.

    Harry Kane heads on goal
  18. Post update

    Tottenham 1-0 Bournemouth

Dele Alli is finding a few pockets of space that weren't available in the first half.

He skips away from tackle and shifts a pass right to Son Heung-min, who wriggles beyond a few challenges before giving it back to the England man.

Alli scoops a cross towards Harry Kane. It's too high.

  19. Post update

We were expecting a record Premier League crowd at Wembey today - no news on that yet, but there does seem to be a few empty seats lurking around the national stadium.
