    Crystal Palace players celebrate

Fantastic from Palace! Their workrate was unbelievable all the way through the game.

The noise here is off the scale - you'd think they'd won the league rather than won their first game in the league!

Show half of this spirit for the rest of the season and Crystal Palace won't have any problems staying in this league.

    Football, eh?

Roy Hodgson's side - without a point and without a goal in the league this season - have beaten the champions!

Cahill has to make a decent block in the end.

  7. Post update

    Crystal Palace 2-1 Chelsea

MAMADOU SAKHO, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?

You do not - I repeat DO NOT - try and backheel the ball to clear it from your own box and then put it in the path of Cesc Fabregas.

What a let off for Palace as Fabregas shoots wide.

  8. Post update

    Crystal Palace 2-1 Chelsea

Five minutes of added time. How's your blood pressure, Roy?

  10. Post update

    Roy Hodgson

Van Aanholt has missed an utter sitter! Was he off balance? That would have been game, set and match! Palace might still claim all three points but if they don't he won't sleep tonight.

    I've just seen a replay... well, that's why he's a left-back!

  12. 'Selhurst Park is rocking'

    Crystal Palace 2-1 Chelsea

    Ian Dennis

Football commentator at Selhurst Park for 5 live Sport

    Crystal Palace fans

I do not think there is a better atmosphere in the Premier League that at Selhurst Park when it's rocking.

  13. CLOSE!

    Crystal Palace 2-1 Chelsea

What a chance for Palace! Andros Townsend's effort from distance is parried by Courtois into the path of Patrick van Aanholt but his follow-up shot is planted wide.

    Crystal Palace 2-1 Chelsea

A double sub from Roy Hodgson.

Palace have five minutes of normal time to see this out.

  15. Post update

A mix-up between Chelsea players sends Wilfried Zaha into action! The Palace forward tries to force an effort goalwards but then Chelsea counter.

Scott Dann makes a heavy challenge on Pedro and gets a yellow for it. The visitors have a free-kick about 40 yards out.

    Fabregas delivers but it's cleared.

  18. SUBSTITUTION

Jason Puncheon comes on for Jeffrey Schlupp as Roy Hodgson starts to tinker with his Palace side.

Meanwhile, Charly Musonda has a go from distance but the flag is up again.

  19. Post update

    Crystal Palace 2-1 Chelsea

In the last 10 minutes, Chelsea have had over 70% off the ball. Can Palace hang on for their first three points of the season?

  20. CLOSE!

    Crystal Palace 2-1 Chelsea

Another chance for Chelsea! Julian Speroni pulls off a double save from Marcos Alonso's effort.

A dangerous ball in from Davide Zappacosta follows, but Hazard can't get the final touch as he rushes in.

    It's ALL Chelsea now.
