  1. That's all folks - for now

It is back to domestic action on Saturday - and the start of the league season.

Join us on Saturday for live coverage of action from the Scottish Premiership and news from around the other divisions.

  2. McInnes blasts treatment of fans

FT: Apollon Limassol 2-0 Aberdeen (agg 3-2)

Derek McInnes has also voiced his disappointment at the way the Aberdeen fans were treated by the stewards and police.

We'll have more on that later on the website.

  3. Wasted opportunity for us - McInnes

FT: Apollon Limassol 2-0 Aberdeen (agg 3-2)

Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes on BBC Radio Scotland: "I felt that Apollon scored with their first ball into the box, which was disappointing.

"Although they started well in terms of controlling the game, they imposed their style on us.

"The away goal at Pittodrie comes into play and the onus is there for us to score a goal.

"The second-half was better in terms of getting on the ball and they were hanging on at the end, which says something considering we are not used to playing in this heat.

"We had good chances to get the away goal ourselves and it was a wasted opportunity for us.

"There are fine margins at times, but we were good enough in the second half to get opportunities but didn't take them."

  4. Fans react on Facebook

    #bbcsportscot and https://www.facebook.com/bbcsportscotland

Scott Ryan: I'm a Celtic fan but I feel sorry for Aberdeen. Surely we should all want Scottish teams to have a level of success to help the countries co-efficient and then we wouldn't have to be bothered with these stupid qualifiers in July.

Neil Binns: Whoever thought Aberdeen would go over there and do the job in the sweltering heat?! When has that ever happened? Obvious they going out for me.

Chris Spence: Would just like to thank Rangers, St.Johnstone and Aberdeen for their efforts in upping Scottish footballs co-efficiency rating. Left to Celtic to prop up Scottish football again

Andy Bates: Time for aberdeen to go out and get Moult in and storey out to St Johnstone. Lacking in attacking options is what cost is tonight

Tom McMaster: Very poor result. Very disappointing for Aberdeen and again a depressing comment on the standard our game has sunk to

Ben Sutherland: Not enough about us at this level simple as that

  5. Post update

FT: Apollon Limassol 2-0 Aberdeen (agg 3-2)

We are still waiting for reaction from Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes.

  6. Apollon and Dons in trouble with Uefa?

FT: Apollon Limassol 2-0 Aberdeen (agg 3-2)

One wonders what the fallout might be not only for Apollon Limassol following the flares thrown by their fans during the game but for Aberdeen following the fighting in the stands that followed the final whistle.

  7. Celtic left to fly flag

FT: Apollon Limassol 2-0 Aberdeen (agg 3-2)

    And then there was one.

Rangers, St Johnstone and now Aberdeen have exited the Europa League qualifiers - beaten by teams from Luxembourg, Lithuania and Cyprus respectively.

Who would have thought that possible 10 years ago?

Scotland's European hopes now lie with Celtic in the Champions League play-off round.

  8. Away goal proved crucial - Hartley

FT: Apollon Limassol 2-0 Aberdeen (agg 3-2)

Quote Message: I thought Aberdeen were strong in the second half. But Apollon defended well and that away goal in the first leg proved crucial. Derek McInnes will be disappointed but will be pleased in terms of the way they played. They just didn't take their chances from Paul Hartley BBC Radio Scotland pundit

  9. Riot police called in

FT: Apollon Limassol 2-0 Aberdeen (agg 3-2)

    Scott Davie

    BBC Scotland in Larnaca

Quote Message: Riot police with batons and shields have now been deployed inside the ground. There has been some vicious fighting
  10. 'Give Limassol credit'

FT: Apollon Limassol 2-0 Aberdeen (agg 3-2)

    Willie Miller

Former Scotland defender on BBC Sportsound

Quote Message: Over the two legs, it was finely balanced, but you have to give Limassol credit. They play at a decent standard and prevented Aberdeen from scoring tonight
  11. Trouble in the stands

FT: Apollon Limassol 2-0 Aberdeen (agg 3-2)

    Scott Davie

    BBC Scotland in Larnaca

Quote Message: Unfortunately, there is fighting in the Aberdeen end with some of the stewards. There are some ugly scenes going on away to our left
  12. Post update

FT: Apollon Limassol 2-0 Aberdeen (agg 3-2)

    Willie Miller

Former Scotland defender on BBC Sportsound

Quote Message: It was a very good second-half performance. The tempo was higher and there were half chances - and Derek McInnes will be bitterly disappointed that they didn't take any of them. Strong second half but just not good enough
  13. FULL-TIME - Apollon Limassol 2-0 Aberdeen (agg 3-2)

Apollon survive a nervous finish and Aberdeen exit the Europa League at the third qualifying round stage for the fourth successive season.

For the home side, they avoid losing at this stage for a third year in a row.

  14. Post update

    Apollon Limassol 2-0 Aberdeen

Ryan Christie is so close to getting the killer touch to a ball flashed across the Apollon penalty box.

    Last chance?

  15. Post update

    Apollon Limassol 1-0 Aberdeen

The Dons' big chance. Lively sub Scott Wright finds Kenny McLean with a fine cross to the back post, but the midfielder's header is straight at the goalkeeper.

Bruno Vale's first save and it was too easy.

  16. Post update

    Apollon Limassol 2-0 Aberdeen

The Dons haven't forced goalkeeper Bruno Vale into a save so far.

Two minutes they have to find the target.

  17. Post update

    Apollon Limassol 2-0 Aberdeen

We have six minutes of stoppage time to play.

Six minutes for the Dons to score the goal that would level it on aggregate and take the tie into extra time.

  18. Post update

    Apollon Limassol 2-0 Aberdeen

Apollon full-back Joao Pedro is lucky not be shown a second yellow card for a hand ball.

  19. GOAL - Apollon Limassol 2-0 Aberdeen

    Emilio Zelaya

A quick break from Apollon and the Dons look done for.

Adrian Sardinero sets up Marios Stylianou in front of goal and, although goalkeeper Joe Lewis does superbly to turn the shot on to the crossbar, Argentine forward Emilio Zelaya volleys superbly into the net.

  20. Post update

    Apollon Limassol 1-0 Aberdeen

More pressure from Aberdeen and a Gary Mackay-Steven drive is deflected wide for a corner.
