  1. Post update

Okay, that just about does it for today.

It seems an age ago that Sheffield United beat Barnsley in the lunchtime kick-off!

The EFL returns on Friday as Bristol City host Aston Villa and Hull play Bolton Wanderers.

Until then, goodbye and enjoy the rest of your weekend.

  2. 'We controlled it'

    FT: Sunderland 0-2 Leeds

Leeds head coach Thomas Christiansen told Sky Sports:

"It's very important for the team and their confidence. It's another clean sheet and we are still unbeaten.

"We had to face a very good team, a very strong team. We knew their strengths but we had to be strong and I believe we controlled it all."

Robert Clenton: That was an important win for #LUFC The difference between top six and mid table and already seven points behind the leaders. MOT

  4. Bluebirds go top of the lot

    FT: Wolves 1-2 Cardiff City

    Neil Warnock

Cardiff City beat Wolves as the Championship's top two met at Molineux. It was the Bluebirds who maintained their 100% start to the league season, earning a 2-1 victory which makes it four wins from four.

Cardiff City manager Neil Warnock: "It was a cracking game, a typical Championship match. Two sides really having a go at each other. We didn't come to defend, we came to attack as much as we could really.

"Obviously we had to have a plan because Wolves have steamrollered every team they have played so far. I thought it worked well and I thought we shaded it, chances-wise."

  5. Post update

    FT: Sunderland 0-2 Leeds

So that win for Leeds maintains their unbeaten start to the season.

For Sunderland it's a first defeat.

However, one side in the Championship have outdone everyone so far...

  6. 'We gave it everything'

    FT: Sunderland 0-2 Leeds

Leeds defender Liam Cooper told Sky Sports:

"I felt the lads dug in today, we gave it everything, it's a great response [from the fans] and hopefully we can keep it going.

"We wish Chris Wood all the best, but we've got a season to worry about now. He's been unbelievable for us but the little man [Ergjan Alioski] stole the show."

    Sunderland 0-2 Leeds

That's it, Leeds have comprehensively seen off Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.

It was the complete all-round performance from Thomas Christiansen's side - solid at the back, clinical on the break.

Sunderland looked short of ideas in the final third - plenty for Simon Grayson to think about.

  8. Post update

    Sunderland 0-2 Leeds

Joel Asoro looks to make his mark on the game - but the Sunderland substitute fires it high and wide from 25 yards.

  9. Post update

    Sunderland 0-2 Leeds

There will be six minutes of added time.

If Billy Jones had put away that chance it could have been an interesting finish.

But Sunderland have left themselves too much to do now.

  10. Post update

    Sunderland 0-2 Leeds

    What. A. Chance.

Aiden McGeady pulls the ball back into the Leeds box from the touchline and Billy Jones finds himself in acres of space, just six yards out.

But he can only skew the ball into the side netting. That was Sunderland's best chance of the second half by a country mile.

  11. Post update

    Sunderland 0-2 Leeds

I just said Leeds had been better all over the field - and that just about sums it up.

Aiden McGeady cuts inside Luke Ayling and smashes the ball towards goal - but Pontus Jansson throws his head in front of it and it bounces away.

    Wonderful defending from the centre-back.

  12. Post update

    Sunderland 0-2 Leeds

    Thomas Christiansen

Leeds boss Thomas Christiansen will be mightily impressed from what he's seen from his side this evening.

They've been better all over the pitch.

Four minutes plus stoppage time left to hold on.

  13. Post update

    Sunderland 0-2 Leeds

Ergjan Alioski hobbles to the sideline and then comes straight back on.

    Why do they do that?

    Sunderland 0-2 Leeds

Sunderland are losing their rag a little here.

Didier Ndong goes in late on Ergjan Alioski and appears to catch him on the top of the foot.

Alioski is writhing around in pain - out comes the card for the Sunderland midfielder.

    Sunderland 0-2 Leeds

Leeds' first goalscorer Samuel Saiz comes off - slowly - to be replaced by Mateusz Klich.

He's been superb for the visitors along with Ergjan Alioski.

  16. Post update

    Sunderland 0-2 Leeds

It's good to see the majority of Sunderland fans sticking around after that second Leeds goal.

But they won't have enjoyed what they've seen from their side in the attacking third. It's been pretty poor.

Just one shot on target in fact.

  17. GOAL: Sunderland 0-2 Leeds

    Stuart Dallas

Game over! Substitute Stuart Dallas bullets a header past Jason Steele to make it 2-0.

It's poor marking, but a fine finish from the Northern Ireland midfielder.

Samuel Saiz finds some room on the right, picks out Dallas at the far post and he has all the room in the world to plant his header into the centre of the goal.

    Sunderland 0-1 Leeds

Sunderland make their third and final substitution as Lee Cattermole is replaced by teenager Joel Asoro.

The 18-year-old forward may give the Black Cats the injection of pace they need heading into the final 15 minutes.

  19. Post update

    Sunderland 0-1 Leeds

Sunderland have less than 20 minutes to find a way back into this game.

It just hasn't happened for them in the final third so far.

  20. Post update

    Sunderland 0-1 Leeds

Ergjan Alioski smashes the free-kick through the wall from 20 yards, but it's straight at Jason Steele who palms it wide.

It was a good strike from the Macedonian but easy enough for the keeper.
