  1. Goodbye

    Lee Johnson

Respect for Ugo Ehiogu, tears for Leyton Orient and Swindon, mixed emotions for fans throughout the EFL - it's been a huge day across the three divisions.

From the battle to reach the Premier League to the brave quest to stay in the Football League, so many stories have been written and continue to be written.

One or two games remain for most teams, the final strait of a punishing season, although we've still got two huge Championship games to come from this round of games.

Aston Villa take on Birmingham tomorrow at noon, while Newcastle can book their return to the Premier League if they beat Preston on Monday night.

Until then, thanks for being with us today. Have a good evening.

  2. Second city under the spotlight

Aston Villa v Birmingham City (Sunday, 12:00 BST)

    Steve Bruce and Harry Redknapp

Where do you start with the threads to this second city derby between Aston Villa and Birmingham City?

The game itself is a big enough story, before you throw in Harry Redknapp - yes, that's Harry Redknapp - starting his spell in charge at Birmingham with a derby at Villa.

Add to that Villa gaffer Steve Bruce's history as ex-Blues boss, Blues battling against relegation... what a Sunday afternoon lies ahead.

Of course, you can follow it all here tomorrow on BBC Sport.

  3. Play-off race wide open

    League Two full-time scores

    Crewe score against Leyton Orient

Leyton Orient's 122-year stay in the Football League comes to an end with a crushing defeat at Crewe.

Luton's 2-1 win over Notts County leaves them realistically assured of a play-off place given their excellent goal difference, but the other places are still to play for.

Exeter climb to fifth with victory over Morecambe, while Blackpool are a place further back after an impressive performance in their 3-0 win over Cheltenham.

I can't run you through all the scores or we'll be here all day, but there are still just four points between seventh-placed Stevenage and Accrington in 13th with two games to play.

At the bottom of the table, Newport's win over Stanley takes them out of the relgation zone, with Hartlepool now in the bottom two after a 2-0 defeat by Barnet.

    • Blackpool 3-0 Cheltenham
    • Colchester 0-0 Plymouth
    • Crawley 3-3 Carlisle
    • Crewe 3-0 Leyton Orient
    • Exeter 3-1 Morecambe
    • Grimsby 4-2 Yeovil
    • Hartlepool 0-2 Barnet
    • Luton 2-1 Notts County
    • Newport 1-0 Accrington
    • Portsmouth 2-1 Cambridge
    • Stevenage 0-1 Mansfield
    • Wycombe 2-1 Doncaster
  4. Promotion race goes to final day

    League One full-time scores

    Fleetwood celebrate Ashley Hunter's goal

Plenty to catch up on in League One, where Fleetwood's last-minute winner at Gillingham means they can still overhaul Bolton in the race for automatic promotion with a win on the final day, coupled with a Trotters loss.

Bradford secured a play-off place in convincing style, beating Wimbledon 3-0. It's still all to play for for the final play-off spot, with Millwall, Southend and Rochdale separated by just two points.

Swindon were relegated with their defeat by Scunthorpe, while Port Vale look likely to be the final team to go down, as their loss to Bolton leaves them four points adrift of safety.

The Valiants do have a game in hand on Gillingham in 20th, but anything less than two wins seems sure to send them to League Two given their inferior goal difference.

    • Bradford 3-0 Wimbledon
    • Bury 3-0 Northampton
    • Chesterfield 1-2 Charlton
    • Coventry 1-0 Walsall
    • Gillingham 2-3 Fleetwood
    • Millwall 0-3 Oxford United
    • MK Dons 0-3 Sheffield United
    • Oldham 1-1 Rochdale
    • Peterborough 4-2 Bristol Rovers
    • Port Vale 0-2 Bolton
    • Shrewsbury 1-0 Southend
    • Swindon 1-2 Scunthorpe
  5. Huge win for Forest

Nottingham Forest's 3-2 win over Reading has given them a three-point cushion to the relegation zone.

Wigan are clinging on, just. Blackburn and Birmingham are still bang in trouble.

  6. Leeds' chances over?

Here's how the Championship play-off picture is looking with a couple of games to play for most sides...

    Bristol City 3-2 Barnsley

    Aden Flint

What a massive win for Bristol City.

Aden Flint's late goal moves them six points clear of the Championship relegation zone with two games to play.

They're not mathematically safe, but City fans can surely start preparing for life in the second tier again next season.

    Burton 2-1 Leeds

Two quickfire goals from Marvin Sordell and Michael Kightly put Burton on the cusp of another season in the Championship, despite Kyle Bartley's late consolation.

Leeds have been helped slightly by Huddersfield's defeat but they need to rely on other teams slipping up and them winning their two final games if they are to slip into the top six.

Damaging defeat for the Elland Road club, will they be able to take the positives from a much improved season or will it be too crushing a disappointment?

    Wolves 0-0 Blackburn

Blackburn remain bang in Championship relegation trouble with a goalless draw at Molineux.

Dreadful game - little help for Tony Mowbray's Rovers, who are two points behind Birmingham and safety.

    Sheffield Wednesday 2-1 Derby

Sheffield Wednesday also look set for another run in the Championship play-offs after reaching the final last season.

Goals from Steven Fletcher and Gary Hooper give the Owls a four-point cushion to Leeds in seventh.

    Huddersfield 1-4 Fulham

Fulham gave a ruthless exhibition of their promotion credentials at Huddersfield, crushing their play-off rivals despite going behind in the first four minutes.

Chris Lowe's penalty kick put the hosts in front but after that it was a rampant display by the Cottagers, who scored through Scott Malone, a Tom Cairney penalty and two fine finishes by Stefan Johansen to lead 4-1 at half-time.

The second-half was a relative damp squib, with the home fans only cheered by Leeds' defeat at Burton.

Fulham have won four in a row. Is that the kind of form that will take them back to the Premier League?

    Nottingham Forest 3-2 Reading

Forest have held on for a vital three points in their relegation battle.

They're three points above the relegation zone heading into their final two games.

  13. Swindon relegated from League One

    FT: Swindon 1-2 Scunthorpe

    Swindon relegated
  14. GOAL - Port Vale 0-2 Bolton

    Gary Madine

Gary Madine doubles Bolton's lead at 10-man Port Vale, but it won't see his side rach the Championship today.

What an incredible finish to the day it's been in League One.

  15. Leyton Orient relegated from League Two

    FT: Crewe 3-0 Leyton Orient

    Orient relegated
  16. Fleetwood halt Bolton's promotion party

    Gillingham 2-3 Fleetwood

Fleetwood are taking the League One promotion race to the final day of the season!

Twice they've fallen behind, but in second-half added time, Kyle Dempsey gives them a 3-2 lead at Gillingham.

That's awful news for the Gills as well, who remain in a relegation battle.

  17. Post update

    Burton 2-1 Leeds

Five minutes of added time. Rob Green made two huge stops to deny Luke Varney a third for Burton before the board went up.

Damaging afternoon for West Yorkshire's Championship promotion chasers...

    Wigan 0-0 Cardiff

No goals, plenty of effort by Wigan. They will be left to chew their nails on their Championship future which could be decided by other sides.

Cardiff in midtable, pick up another point, not that it'll affect them too much.

  19. Post update

    Wigan 0-0 Cardiff

Into four minutes of added time. Wigan won't be relegated today as it stands... but tomorrow's Second City derby between Aston Villa and Birmingham could condemn them back to League One.

    Final minutes.

  20. Post update

    Burton 2-1 Leeds

Kemar Roofe has a chance cleared off the line for Leeds! Dramatic finish in the battle for the Championship play-offs...

    Burton clinging on.
