  8. Newcastle buck trend

    FT: Brighton 1-2 Newcastle

Newcastle continue their fine away form, picking up their 12th win from 17 away games in the Championship.

Tonight is the first time they have won after conceding the first goal - and the first time Brighton have lost after scoring the opener.

The Seagulls had won on the previous 18 occasions they had gone 1-0 up.

A real sickener for Albion fans, as they lose for just the second time at the Amex in 2016-17. They remain six points ahead of Huddersfield, who have a game in hand

  9. Darlow reacts

    FT: Brighton 1-2 Newcastle

Quote Message: We knew it would be a tough game. There is so much quality throughout the squad and we rallied together at halt-time as we knew we would make chances. It is a massive win but we have to keep going as we have a tough week. We have got three points but we have a tough games at Huddersfield and then Reading. from Karl Darlow Newcastle goalkeeper on Sky Sports

  10. FULL-TIME

    Blackburn 1-0 Derby

And it's over at Ewood Park. What a massive victory for Blackburn.

Craig Conway's penalty was the difference and it moves them level on points with Bristol City who are just outside the relegation zone.

Derby are without a win in six league games.

  11. FULL-TIME: Aston Villa 2-0 Bristol City

A huge win for Aston Villa, their second in successive games, sees them move nine points clear of the relegation zone.

Bristol City are in all sorts of trouble, only out of the relegation zone on goal difference as rivals Blackburn beat Derby at Ewood Park.

  12. FULL-TIME

    Brighton 1-2 Newcastle

The final whistle goes at the Amex - Newcastle's two goals in the last 10 minutes mean they take the points.

A great comeback from the Magpies means they go back to the top of the Championship table.

They are now two points ahead of Brighton, and eight ahead of third-placed Huddersfield.

That gives Rafael Benitez's men the upper hand in the title race - and Newcastle travel to face the Terriers on Saturday at tea-time.

As it stands, Newcastle are going back to the top of the Championship.

Still time for either side to grab a winner and take control of the Championship title race.

  19. Post update

    Blackburn 1-0 Derby

Into the final few minutes at Ewood Park where Blackburn have everyone behind the ball.
