  1. Goodbye!

    Lionel Messi

No wonder Lionel Messi is smiling after that. Leo and his Barcelona chums had an enjoyable trip to the Basque Country, keeping the pressure firmly on leaders Real Madrid and second-place Sevilla. This one is going to the wire, folks.

Now it is goodbye from him, and goodbye from us. We'll all be back in midweek for Copa del Rey and Coppa Italia action.

In the meantime, Head over to our European index for all the latest news from elsewhere on the continent. Ciao!

  2. FULL-TIME

    Eibar 0-4 Barcelona

And here's what Barca's win means for the top of La Liga...

    Barcelona beat Eibar
  3. FULL-TIME

    Roma 1-0 Cagliari

Roma move to one point behind Serie A leaders Juventus as they hold firm to beat Cagliari.

Edin Dzeko's 14th home league goal of the season was enough in the end, despite the Bosnia and Herzegovina striker also missing two great chances.

Cagliari were keen, if a bit limited, and ultimately failed to trouble Roma keeper Wojciech Szczesny before Joao Pedro's late dismissal.

  4. RED CARD - Joao Pedro (Cagliari)

    Roma 1-0 Cagliari

Oooof. Joao Pedro absolutely clatters Kevin Strootman and is shown a straight red.

It's late, reckless and clumsy as the substitute kicks Strootman's shins with the ball long gone.

  5. FULL-TIME

    Eibar 0-4 Barcelona

Job done. A routine win for third-placed Barca, who hang onto the coattails of Real Madrid and Sevilla at the top of La Liga.

  6. Post update

    Roma 1-0 Cagliari

Into three minutes of added time. Roma still ahead but can Cagliari make them pay for those missed chances?

  7. GOAL - Eibar 0-4 Barcelona

    Neymar

The icing on the cake. Goals from open play have been rare for Neymar this season, but finally he is rewarded for his efforts tonight. The Brazilian completes a routine win with a cool finish from close range.

  8. Post update

    Eibar 0-3 Barcelona

No more drama, we said. That includes injury scares. Jordi Alba slips with no-one around him outside his penalty area, clutching his leg and grimacing. The Barca left-back is, thankfully for Luis Enrique, back on his feet.

  9. Post update

    Eibar 0-3 Barcelona

Barcelona hoping just to see this one through without any more drama. Almost there.

  10. Post update

    Eibar 0-3 Barcelona

Nope, it is not happening for Neymar. The Barca forward cushions Aleix Vidal's cross with his instep, creating the space to shoot from about eight yards out in front of goal. But Gonzalo Escalante brings out his inner Bobby Moore to nick the ball off his toe with a last-ditch tackle.

  11. Post update

    Eibar 0-3 Barcelona

Into the final five. The home players will probably just want a warm shower now.

  12. Post update

    Eibar 0-3 Barcelona

Eibar have never scored a home goal against Barcelona. Seeing that net bulge would be a welcome sight for the 6,000 fans packed into the Ipurua. Pedro Leon has looked the likeliest source and forces Marc-Andre ter Stegen into an acrobatic stop with a dipping shot from 20 yards.

  13. GREAT SAVE!

    Roma 1-0 Cagliari

Cagliari keeper Rafael makes two outstanding saves in the space of two minutes to keep his side in it.

First, Radja Nainggolan unleashes a volley through a crowd that Rafael gets down to parry before tipping Edin Dzeko's point-blank header onto the bar and away.

Dzeko should score, but great keeping from Rafael.

  14. Post update

    Eibar 0-3 Barcelona

Is Eibar's Sergi Enrich after a move? He's putting himself in the shop window tonight. The lively forward muscles his way through a couple of Barca challenges before thumping his shot against a defender.

  15. Post update

    Roma 1-0 Cagliari

Ten minutes left to go in Rome, with the hosts pushing for a second goal to make sure of victory. They almost have it too but Bruno Alves makes a superb saving tackle to rob the ball off Kevin Strootman as the midfielder ran through on goal.

  16. Post update

    Eibar 0-3 Barcelona

Still Barcelona want more. They're insatiable. Ivan Rakitic gallops forward on the right, drilling a low shot straight at Eibar keeper Yoel.

What's the most ridiculous booking you've ever seen/been given? Tweet using #bbceurofooty.

Matt Brock: After the goalkeeper six-second rule was introduced, the opposition keeper was time wasting, I got booked for counting out loud.

    Genius.

  18. Post update

    Eibar 0-3 Barcelona

You would have thought scoring goals for Barcelona would come easy. Not for Paco Alcacer. The £25m summer signing from Valencia is yet to score in the La Liga for his new club.

  19. SUBSTITUTION

    Eibar 0-3 Barcelona

Luis Suarez isn't going to improve his goal tally further tonight. He's given a breather as boss Luis Enrique senses this could be a good chance for goal-shy summer signing Paco Alcacer to boost his confidence.

  20. CLOSE!

    Roma 1-0 Cagliari

Now a remarkable miss from Bruno Peres as Edin Dzeko's shot is palmed straight into his path by Rafael but the Roma midfielder can't wrap his foot round the ball and pokes wide from two yards out.
