    Middlesbrough 0-0 Everton

    That's all from this live.

The first take of the report is here with more to follow.

  2. Post update

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Everton

That means it's eight games unbeaten for Everton in the Premier League, although that's the first time they've failed to score in that run.

Boro are still without a win in eight Premier League games, but that was a much-improved showing that hints at the way they could get themselves out of trouble this season.

All the plaudits to Valdes and Robles in goal though.

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Everton

A tale of two keepers there.

    A deserved point for Boro.

    A frustrating afternoon for Everton.

    Romelu Lukaku
  4. Post update

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Everton

A well-earned point for Boro beckons?

  5. Post update

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Everton

Three minutes of stoppage time to come...

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Everton

Stunning stuff from Joel Robles to deny Rudy Gestede.

The cross comes in from the right and the big Benin striker rises highest to power a trademark header that's creeping under the bar...

...but Robles has other ideas as he leaps to palm the ball over the bar.

Huge moment. Any more late drama?

    Joel Robles

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Everton

Barkley is off for Gareth Barry. Hardly in keeping with the attacking substitutes we've seen so far this afternoon.

  8. Post update

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Everton

    A time for heroes.

    Just five minutes to go.

Gibson's mistake almost allows Coleman to pick out Lukaku in the area but Boro rally to clear before Ramirez makes a full-blooded challenge on Baines that gets the substitute a yellow card.

  10. Post update

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Everton

Abysmal stuff from Guedioura. This time he picks the ball up 22 yards out, unmarked and spoons a truly terrible shot well over the bar.

Boro have had lots of these bright openings but failed to test Joel Robles.

  11. Post update

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Everton

Great stuff from Guedioura, running through midfield and casually chipping the ball over the Everton defence for the lightning-quick Adama Traore to chase but Joel Robles wins the race.

  12. Post update

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Everton

A tremendous ball in from the left by Fabio sails just over the head of the diving Alvaro Negredo.

That would've been in had Negredo connected but it's his last act as he's replaced by Rudy Gestede.

Nine minutes for Rudy to be the hero.

    Ross Barkley and Alvaro Negredo
  13. Post update

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Everton

A point here would extend Everton's unbeaten Premier League run to eight games, but you feel Ronald Koeman would be angry if his side failed to score.

Boro have done an excellent stifling job so far here. 15 minutes or so left to hang on or even grab a winner themselves.

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Everton

That missed chance will be Ademola Lookman's final act here as he's replaced by Aaron Lennon.

Another hugely promising performance from the youngster but he'll be gutted to have missed two good chances. Those Valdes saves could see Boro secure a point or better here.

  15. Post update

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Everton

Bernardo dices with danger as his pass to Gibson is nearly cut out by Lukaku, who would've been through on goal.

The Boro captain is alive to the danger though and just gets a toe in to rob the Belgian.

    Romelu Lukaku
  16. Post update

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Everton

Up the other end, Adlene Guedioura thumps a rising effort over the bar from 30 yards out.

    Both sides going for this.

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Everton

Brilliant from Victor Valdes with his legs yet again, this time denying Ademola Lookman when clean through on goal.

Barkley plays a superb reverse ball for the young winger to run on to but Valdes keeps his focus to deny Lookman's low effort.

The 19-year-old buries his head in his shirt in frustration.

  18. Post update

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Everton

...and Barkley hits it straight into the face of Guedioura, who is down and dazed in the area.

  19. Post update

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Everton

Well he could - but for Everton. Ramirez gives away a soft free-kick by tripping Lookman on the left.

Ross Barkley readies himself to whip this one in...

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Everton

Great positioning from Baines to deny Gibson on the line there.

Boro take off Cristhian Stuani in favour of Gaston Ramirez.

The striker reportedly wanted away in January but ended up staying - can he make the difference here?
