SMS Message: Fed up with 'so-called' fans calling for change every time there is a defeat like they are entitled to play people off the park week in week out. How many of these fans supported Arsenal pre AW.. Spending cash or changing manager makes no difference, ask Man United fans! We have no divine right to beat teams. The players need to man up and AW needs to stop the loving father role and become a manager. Players are soft, get Keown on the coaching staff! from David, Arsenal fan.

  3. Two sides to the banner game

    There are positive banners...

    A Frank Lampard banner

    And not so positive banners...

    An anti-Wenger banner
  4. 'Chelsea are in a very strong position'

    Chelsea 3-1 Arsenal

More from Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger: "We did fight until the end. At 3-0 down with 10 minutes to go, you can understand that the players are disappointed.

Asked if his side are still in the title race, Wenger said: "It is not the ideal subject after game like that.

"Chelsea are in a very strong position. They look solid, difficult to beat and we needed to be better today.

"They don't lose against the big teams and that is always the secret to win a championship."

  5. Not a foul - Conte

    Chelsea 3-1 Arsenal

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte: "It was an important game. I consider Arsenal one of the six teams that can fight for the title until the end of the season. To put them 12 points behind is very important for us.

"In four days we have had two games against two great teams. I think we are showing we deserve to stay on top of the table. I am very pleased for my players. In every session they show me great attitude and great will to fight and win this league."

Was the first goal a foul? "In England never. No."

On Hazard's individual goal: "Hazard shows always quality. I am pleased for him. Today his performance was very good with the ball. But I want to underline without the ball because he worked a lot for the team. When he plays this way he is a complete player."

"I must be crazy to think this would be the situation now. Our start wasn't good for many reasons. Only through work and great ability of the players has shown you can change the situation."

  6. Post update

    Chelsea 3-1 Arsenal

So Arsene Wenger thinks the opening goal was a foul. What does Antonio Conte think? Coming next...

  7. 'We lacked maturity and experience'

    Chelsea 3-1 Arsenal

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger speaking to BBC Sport, asked about Chelsea's first goal: "It was a foul. If you look at a number of games recently we can feel sorry.

"It was 100% a foul, it was even dangerous play. That doesn't take anything away from the performance of Chelsea.

"We had a strong start but didn't take the opportunites and after half time the second goal was the killer for us.

"We were really naive and not clinical in our defending. Then Chelsea looked the better side. We took risks and they were well organised and played well on the counter attack and looked powerful.

"We lost ball the many times. In situations we lacked maturity and experience. Individually some of our players were not at their best today."

  8. Who put a shift in?

    Chelsea 3-1 Arsenal

    Welbeck and Matic

A look at the player tracking is interesting. Chelsea clocked 117km in total, Arsenal 112.

That difference does not sound a lot but it is a fair old chunk. And guess what, N'Golo Kante did not run the furthest on the pitch - that goes to Nemanja Matic.

    The big grafters:

    Matic: 12.4km

    Alonso: 11.94km

    Kante: 11.92km

    Oxlade-Chamberlain: 11.47km

    Iwobi: 11.34km

  9. Not over yet - Kante

    Chelsea 3-1 Arsenal

Chelsea's N'Golo Kante speaks to BBC Sport: "It wasn't the best we have played but it was important for us.

"The title is not finished, a lot of things could happen.

"When I was in France I just wanted to achieve the ambition of staying in French Ligue 1. I didn't expect to one day win a title. Last year what we did was amazing, this year we have not won anything."

  11. Sanchez under fire

    Chelsea 3-1 Arsenal

This guy is trending on Twitter in the UK. The consensus is he didn't do enough today.

    Alexis Sanchez
  12. Cahill's revenge

    Chelsea 3-1 Arsenal

Chelsea defender Gary Cahill speaks to Sky Sports: "Fantastic. It football you get opportunities to put things right. I remember walking off after defeat at Arsenal. I felt like a bit of a mug after that game.

"That result added a bit of desire. We are confident at home and we knew a win was vitally important. Personally I felt after that away game I wanted the chance to put thinsg right. It felt good today.

"We practice this formation and tactics. The manager is very thorough. We created a lot. We could have had more goals. Eden scored a special goal. For me that killed the game.

"We put ourselves in a great position. We knew today was important for that."

    Dion Dublin

Former Leicester and Man Utd forward on Final Score

Chelsea were just better in all departments. You have to hold your hands up sometimes and admit it - "you're just better than us today".

  15. Fabregas' first ever goal against Arsenal

    Chelsea 3-1 Arsenal

    "Hide me."

Cesc Fabregas seemed grateful for the blanket cover as he refused to celebrate that gift of a goal.

    Chelsea 3-1 Arsenal Chelsea celebrate

    "You're welcome Cesc."

  16. 'We scored three beautiful goals'

    Chelsea 3-1 Arsenal

Chelsea goal scorer Eden Hazard: "It is always good to score beautiful goals, against a massive team. I enjoyed the game and the goals. We scored three beautiful goals and we deserve to win this game."

Asked what he was thinking when collecting the ball for his goal, Hazard said: "To dribble like I did. It is not like this in every game. I know I need to score more and today I did. I am happy.

"We created a lot of chances but in the counter attack we can get better.

"We are still top of league. We have good confidence and we want to finish the season and stay top."

  17. 'ROAR'

    Chelsea 3-1 Arsenal

There are some huge roars of "YEAH" in the tunnel at Chelsea. Huge, huge roars. I don't know who, but my guess is one of this pair.

    Costa and Luiz

Philippe Guyot: So disappointed by Sanchez : where is his head? Walcott and Ozil also below standard. Wenger not the only culprit!

Bishop Yinkus: You've single handedly destroyed your legacy at our darling club, pls go and leave us alone Arsene It's not a do or die affair.

Dr Damian Fogarty: More important defeat than Watford because Arsenal psychologically dropped in response to Chelsea goals instead of the opposite.

  19. Arsenal's lack of authority

    Chelsea 3-1 Arsenal

A look at the stats shows Arsenal saw nearly 60% of the ball but had fewer shots on the day. Testament perhaps to the way the home side defended in organised fashion and attacked efficiently.

Arsenal just could not land meaningful punches. A strange game in many ways, they were in it but seemed reluctant to really stamp any authority.
