  1. Goodbye

    FT: Birmingham 1-2 Brighton

Glenn Murray celebrates late Brighton winner against Birmingham City

Late goals has been the order of the day today. After a shedload of drama in the 15:00 GMT kick-offs, we have another late, late winner in the evening game.

That's it from us today. You can read the report of everything that happened at St Andrew's right here.

    But from us, it's goodnight!

  2. Post update

    FT: Birmingham 1-2 Brighton

It all looked to be going so well for Gianfranco Zola in his first match as manager of Birmingham City when Lukas Jutkiewicz scored the games opener after what was, quite frankly, a dreadful first half of football.

But the introduction of Solly March, for me, totally changed that match. He cause Blues no ends of problems down their right-hand side.

How will Zola's side recover when they travel to fellow promotion contenders Derby in 10 days?

  3. Post update

    FT: Birmingham 1-2 Brighton

Brighton goalscorer Anthony Knockaert on his celebration and goal dedication: "That's the first one I've scored since he (my father) passed away and I dedicate this goal to him.

    "I love him."

  4. Post update

    FT: Birmingham 1-2 Brighton

Brighton goalscorer Glenn Murray on Sky Sports: "I just got a glance on it and it seemed to take an eternity to hit the back of the net, but luckily it did.

"It doesn't matter what anyone else does, we've just got to concentrate on what we do. We're going to try to chase Newcastle all the way."

  5. FULL-TIME

    Birmingham 1-2 Brighton

    Brighton players celebrate goal

The referee blows his whistle and Brighton extend their unbeaten run to 16 games and maintain their one-point gap to leaders Newcastle.

For Birmingham, it's an absolute sickener.

  6. GOAL: Birmingham 1-2 Brighton

    Glenn Murray

    I do not believe it!

The initial free-kick is cleared for a corner, and the delivery of that is absolutely pinpoint for Glenn Murray to head home his 14th goal of the season.

St Andrew's and Gianfranco Zola are left stunned.

  7. Post update

    Birmingham 1-1 Brighton

Solly March earns Brighton a free-kick in a great position on the left. What can they do with this?

  8. Post update

    Birmingham 1-1 Brighton

Anywhere will do for Birmingham as Josh Dacres-Cogley pumps the ball forward for nobody. The ball keeps coming back at them.

  9. SUBSTITUTION

    Birmingham 1-1 Brighton

The St Andrew's speaker system makes an awful sounds as the stadium announcer tries to tell everybody Paul Robinson is coming on for Jonathan Spector.

    The was quite a screech.

  10. Post update

    Birmingham 1-1 Brighton

We're into four minutes of added time.

  11. Post update

    Birmingham 1-1 Brighton

Birmingham keeper Tomasz Kuszczak makes a complete hash of a long free-kick from his opposing keeper, failing to get anywhere near it and needing Jonathan Grounds to clear the header towards goal off the line.

  12. Post update

    Birmingham 1-1 Brighton

Anthony Knockaert has his head in his hands after a heavy touch to control Dale Stephens' pass when he was driving into the Birmingham box.

Zola's side cannot get out right now.

  13. Post update

    Birmingham 1-1 Brighton

Solly March, who else, gets in another cross which Bruno looks to feed off the scraps of, but cannot control it properly and it lands in the Birmingham keeper's hands.

  14. Post update

    Birmingham 1-1 Brighton

This is only Solly March's fourth first-team appearance of the season and boy he has proven his worth to Chris Hughton and Brighton.

It's all the visitors now as they look to go on and will this game. Birmingham appear nervous.

  15. GOAL: Birmingham 1-1 Brighton

    Anthony Knockaert

Brighton & Hove Albion winger Anthony Knockaert celebrates goal

Solly March has totally changed this game since coming on and is the man to provide Brighton's equaliser.

March beats Robert Tesche on the Brighton left, drives to the byline and cuts the ball back for Anthony Knockaert to score.

Knockaert looks up to the sky, surely dedicating his goal to his late father, whose death he recently described as the "toughest moment" of his life.

  16. Post update

    Birmingham 1-0 Brighton

A rare foray into the Brighton half for Birmingham, but Lukas Jutkiewicz has no support and runs the ball out of play.

Blues bring on Robert Tesche for Stephen Gleeson to sure up the midfield.

  17. Post update

    Birmingham 1-0 Brighton

Wave after wave of Brighton attack now as they keep attacking down the left through Solly March and Gaeten Bong, as Michael Morrison heads behind for a corner, which Birmingham again scramble clear.

Brighton's Gaetan Bong and Greg Stewart of Birmingham City
  18. Post update

    Birmingham 1-0 Brighton

Lukas Jutkiewicz shows he's not only a big target man as he turns and volleys from the edge of the area, producing a fine low save from David Stockdale.

Then from the proceeding corner he heads over the bar. He's involved in everything, the man on loan from Burnley.

  19. SUBSTITUTION

    Birmingham 1-0 Brighton

Gianfranco Zola makes his first change as Birmingham boss, bringing on Josh Dacres-Cogley for Greg Stewart.

Dacres-Cogley is more of a right-back than a right winger, so this is surely to provide protection against Solly March.

  20. Post update

    Birmingham 1-0 Brighton

March this time passess the ball to Oliver Norwood, who from 25 yard tries his luck but it sails well wide of Tomasz Kuszczak's goal.

Meanwhile, Brighton make their final change as Tomer Hemed replaces Sam Baldock.
