    FT: QPR 1-2 Wolves

If you want to relive that incredible second-half, you can read Steve Marshall's match report, which is being updated for you here.

A reminder that I'll be back with you tomorrow for live text coverage as Nottingham Forest host league leaders Newcastle at the City Ground.

Thanks as always for joining me tonight. Until tomorrow, goodbye.

  2. Post update

    FT: QPR 1-2 Wolves

    Paul Lambert claps the fans

Wolves manager Paul Lambert told Sky Sports:

"I think we had to stop the rot, we got a good point at Preston and Saturday wasn't too disappointing.

"There's games we won't win, but as long as we stick together and we have that togetherness and team spirit, we're a good side."

Stuart Palmer: A bit more like it from Wolves tonight under Paul Lambert.

  4. Post update

    FT: QPR 1-2 Wolves

    Wolves celebrate

Wolves midfielder Dave Edwards told Sky Sports

"It's huge, you look at us at the end of the game now, we were so nervous to concede because we needed that win so much.

"That first goal was so important and then we got the second, and we should have finished them off really."

  5. Post update

    FT: QPR 1-2 Wolves

So, Wolves move three points clear of the relegation zone after ending a nine-match winless run.

QPR lose their second game in three matches under Ian Holloway and miss out on the chance to move within three points of the play-off places.

  6. FULL-TIME: QPR 1-2 Wolves

QPR send goalkeeper Alex Smithies forward as they win one last corner, but Wolves clear their lines.

Finally, after nine minutes of added time, the referee calls an end to a brilliant second half of football.

Wolves have their first win under Paul Lambert.

  7. Post update

    QPR 1-2 Wolves

A drop ball on the edge of the Wolves box after defender Danny Batth goes down.

Tjaronn Chery gets an opportunity from it, but he scoops the ball high over the bar, before Karl Henry then has an effort blocked.

Could that be the last chance QPR get?

  8. Post update

    QPR 1-2 Wolves

Helder Costa - twice - is denied the chance to put this game to bed.

The winger drives inside from the right, but is denied by Alex Smithies at the near post, before the same sequence plays out in almost identical fashion moments later.

Jon Dadi Bodvarsson then has a shot saved by Smithies. Frantic, brilliant stuff.

  9. Post update

    QPR 1-2 Wolves

BBC WM's Mike Taylor: "It's gone distinctly playground with the ball going from one end to the other."

  10. Post update

    QPR 1-2 Wolves

    It should be 2-2!

QPR pump a free-kick into the box from just inside their own half, and the ball is headed back towards Joel Lynch, who is unmarked five yards out from goal.

Lynch somehow fails to make contact with the ball - Wolves survive, but only just.

  11. GOAL: Joel Lynch

    QPR 1-2 Wolves

    Joel Lynch

    Did I speak too soon?

Wolves make a mess out of trying to deal with Jack Robinson's long throw, allowing Joel Lynch to smash the ball into the roof of the net from two yards out.

There are SEVEN minutes of added time. Game on?

  12. Post update

    QPR 0-2 Wolves

QPR are going to lose this match, but Alex Smithies can leave Loftus Road with his head held high.

Jon Dadi Bodvarsson looks certain to make it 3-0 - not so, as Smithies saves brilliantly once again with his legs.

  13. Post update

    QPR 0-2 Wolves

Despite that unfortunate injury to Carl Ikeme, Wolves look to have the three points in the bag.

QPR haven't been outplayed since going down to 10 men late in the first half, but they've not created any chances of note either.

There's a little under five minutes left to play, plus added time.

  14. Post update

    QPR 0-2 Wolves

    Carl Ikeme

Some concern here for Wolves keeper Carl Ikeme, who has gone down as he went to take a goal-kick and is now receiving treatment from the physios.

Ikeme looks like he wants to carry on, but the training staff take the decision out of his hands and call for back-up keeper Andy Lonergan to come on for the last few minutes.

  15. Post update

    QPR 0-2 Wolves

Almost game over, but Alex Smithies is there to save QPR once again.

Wolves counter-attack after clearing a QPR free-kick, with Matt Doherty getting free down the middle.

Smithies though is out quickly, and he throws himself in front of Doherty's shot to keep the hosts just about in with a chance.

  16. Post update

    QPR 0-2 Wolves

Paul Lambert makes his first change, bringing George Saville on in place of Ivan Cavaleiro.

Nouha Dicko, still making his way back to full fitness after injury, also seems set to be replaced with Jon Dadi Bodvarson ready to come on.

  17. Post update

    QPR 0-2 Wolves

Ex- England defender Matt Upson on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra: "It's classic wing play from Helder Costa.

"The left-back gives him too much space to run into the box and then they are in trouble.

"The other defenders don't cover themselves in glory by falling for the dummy, but it's a great finish."

  18. Post update

    QPR 0-2 Wolves

Wolves are rampant, and now they have an appeal for a penalty turned down as the ball hits a QPR defender on the arm.

It could have been given as a penalty, though QPR would have felt hard done by having had a similar appeal turned down in the first-half.

The hosts have now brought on Idrissa Sylla to try to provide a spark up front, with Sebastian Polter making way.

  19. GOAL: Helder Costa

    QPR 0-2 Wolves

    Helder Costa

    Sheer brilliance from Helder Costa.

The Wolves winger cuts inside and jinks past at least two or three QPR defenders, before firing across goal and into the bottom corner.

After waiting four hours for their first goal under Paul Lambert, Wolves now have two in seven minutes.

  20. Post update

    QPR 0-1 Wolves

Ian Holloway's QPR, reduced to 10 men and now one goal down as well, have a huge task on their hands.

Holloway responds to Dave Edwards' opener by bringing Karl Henry on for fellow midfielder Sandro.

Not the most attacking move, though striker Idrissa Sylla is getting warmed up and seems set to become Rangers' final substitution.
