  2. Post update

    FT: Partick Thistle 1-2 Aberdeen

Partick Thistle manage Alan Archibald on BBC Radio Scotland:

"We were good in patches. I thought we created the better chances in the first half.

"That's two weeks running when we've scored and lost a goal really quickly. We need to learn.

"We changed our formation a number of times. We went for it at the end but it just didn't fall for us."

  3. Post update

    FT: Partick Thistle 1-2 Aberdeen

Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes on BBC Radio Scotland:

"We imposed ourselves on possession and dominated the ball. I was disappointed to only be one-up at half-time. We knew there would be a response and Jayden's goal was a brilliant finish.

"We didn't expect to come here and get it all our own way but there's no doubt the better team won.

"I'm delighted to get three points from a difficult venue."

The BBC Sportsound team are highly critical of Jags keeper Thorsten Stuckmann for his positioning when Jayden Stockley struck the winning goal.

It was a lovely lofted finish but the big German rather invited him to stick it away by rushing off his line.

  5. Post update

    FT: Partick Thistle 1-2 Aberdeen

Or maybe Thistle can have a few grievances since they did create a few decent openings despite Aberdeen being the better team for long spells. Funny old game and all that...

Thistle's four-match run comes to an end and they stay seventh in the table ahead of the matches on Saturday and Sunday.

  6. FULL-TIME Partick Thistle 1-2 Aberdeen

The Dons are up to second place in the Premiership thanks to goals from Anthony O'Connor and Jayden Stockley.

Adam Barton levelled for Thistle briefly but the home side can't have too many complaints about the final score.

  7. Post update

    Partick Thistle 1-2 Aberdeen

A long throw-in. Everyone in the Aberdeen box. The ball falls to Danny Devine and the defender can only send a weak shot straight at Joe Lewis.

    Groans from the home support...

SMS Message: Derek McInnes right to take James Maddison off, this wasn't the game for him. A few superb touches, and the pass for Jayden Stockley, but frankly he's too cultured for this and has already been kicked out at a couple of times. from Martin Ross, Ayr

    Partick Thistle 1-2 Aberdeen

We're into three minutes of stoppage time at Firhill...

  10. Post update

    Partick Thistle 1-2 Aberdeen

Chris Erskine is inches away from connecting with a long ball over the top but big Joe Lewis comes steaming out to smother the ball at the edge of the box.

  11. Post update

    Partick Thistle 1-2 Aberdeen

Good skill from Declan McDaid to create an opening for Thistle and Chris Erskine has a good glimpse of goal from 18 yards but his shot is pretty much straight at Joe Lewis.

  12. Post update

    Partick Thistle 1-2 Aberdeen

Operation shore-up for the Dons, with defender Mark Reynolds on for forward Jayden Stockley.

  13. Post update

    Partick Thistle 1-2 Aberdeen

There are gaps appearing at the back for Thistle now as Niall McGinn flicks the ball into the path of Adam Rooney but the striker's shot from the edge of the box is easily stopped by Thorsten Struckmann.

  14. Post update

    Partick Thistle 1-2 Aberdeen

Right, what have the Jags got? Nothing much on the evidence of the last few minutes as a couple of aimless balls are gobbled up the Aberdeen defence.

  16. Post update

    Partick Thistle 1-2 Aberdeen

Thistle make their final change as Ryan Edwards runs off to be replaced by Declan McDaid. The 20-year-old substitute can deliver a good cross but will he get the service?

  17. Post update

    Partick Thistle 1-2 Aberdeen

Another Thistle booking as Sean Welsh steps on the heel of galloping Aberdeen full-back Shay Logan.

  18. Post update

    Partick Thistle 1-2 Aberdeen

With 15 minutes or so to go, Jayden Stockey's goal is the difference, the striker lobbing goalkeeper Thorsten Stuckmann to restore Aberdeen's lead after Adam Barton had cancelled out Anthony O'Connor's opener.

  19. More changes

    Partick Thistle 1-2 Aberdeen

Ade Azeez is off and David Amoo is on as Thistle shuffle their attacking options.

James Maddison makes way for Niall McGinn as the visitors make an alteration of their own.

  20. Post update

    Partick Thistle 1-2 Aberdeen

Kenny McLean and Abdul Osman go head to head in a heated exchange of views. The Aberdeen man is not happy with the Jags captain's dramatic fall in the box. I think the officials may have been too stunned by the awful dive to take any action.
