  1. Saturday's EFL action

    FT: Brentford 0-2 Fulham

Fulham's win tonight has teed up tomorrow's action rather nicely.

The Whites have hopes of sealing a return to the top flight this season, but can anyone stop Championship leaders Newcastle charging towards promotion to the Premier League?

Neil Warnock's Cardiff are the next side to try to halt the Magpies' excellent run of form.

Second-placed Brighton are at Bristol City in Saturday's late kick-off, while Warren Joyce takes charge of Wigan for the first time at home to Reading.

That victory lifts Fulham up to seventh in the Championship table.

The Whites are only outside of the play-off places on goal difference.

They also have the second best away record in the division, with four wins and three draws from eight games on the road.

Brentford drop a place to 11th ahead of Saturday's fixtures. Dean Smith's side have only won one of their last five league games.

  4. Match reaction

    FT: Brentford 0-2 Fulham

Quote Message: It's a massive win for us. We have come off the back of not winning in eight games or so and that is not good enough. Now we've got seven goals in two games, and two clean sheets. We should be winning at home as well as away, and if we do that we should be in the top six. We are looking up now. from Scott Malone Fulham left-back on Sky Sports

    Tom Cairney

There will be no equaliser for the hosts. Fulham have their second, and with it the three points.

Brentford's attack breaks down, and the Whites counter.

Tom Cairney finds Chris Martin in the Bees box and Martin gives the ball back to the Fulham skipper.

Cairney pauses, beats his man, then slots the ball home from the corner of the six-yard box.

That will end a four-match winless streak against their west London rivals.

    Brentford 0-1 Fulham

    Sone Aluko

A second change for Fulham. Forward Sone Aluko is off, with club captain Scott Parker coming on.
