That's it for this week, thanks for following all the action with us. We'll get working now on putting videos of all today's goals up on the BBC Sport NI website ASAP. On Monday night, the Irish League Show on the BBC iPlayer will chew over the major talking points.

  3. Ports in more trouble?

    Portadown 3-1 Ards

Are bottom club Portadown facing another crisis? Questions are being asked at Shamrock Park about whether midfielder Robert Garrett should have been playing against Ards.

Remember, the Ports had a 12-point deduction slapped on them in a disciplinary case before the start of the season.

According to the list of suspensions on the Irish FA's website, the former Linfield man was to serve a one-match ban for five bookings, commencing on Monday 24 October. As the Ports did not have a midweek match it means, on the face of it, Garrett should have sat out today's match. By the way, he scored in the 3-1 victory.

We've asked Portadown temporary manager Vinny Arkins about it, and he says he checked with the club about suspensions and was told Garrett was fine to play as his ban did not come into effect until next week.

Word from Shamrock Park is that Ards might have other ideas on the matter. But surely Portadown have not made another administrative blunder, surely, surely not.

  4. What they said

    Carrick Rangers 1-2 Glentoran

Quote Message: Curtis Allen took his opportunity well today and hopefully it is the start of a wee run for him. It is great to have strikers who are scoring goals. from Gary Haveron Glentoran manager

  5. What they said

    Cliftonville 3-0 Glenavon

Quote Message: We had a few words at half-time and came out better in the second half. It is all about seeing out matches in winning positions because we feel we have dropped points we shouldn't have this season from Ruairi Harkin Cliftonville

  6. What they said

    Linfield 0-0 Crusaders

Quote Message: There was a lot riding on the match and Linfield were pushing towards the end. Things spilled over a bit at the end but there was not much in it, just a bit of shirt pulling. Jordan hit the bar in the first half and we had a few chances in the second. On the whole, there was not a lot in it. from Colin Coates Crusaders captain

    Linfield 0-0 Crues

A disappointing game and it's now 180 minutes of league action without a goal between the top two.

    Ballymena 4-0 Ballinamallard

The Sky Blues bounce back impressively from last week's defeat with a ruthless dismantling of a poor Mallards side. Johnny McMurray was the star man for Ballymena with two goals in another eye-catching attacking display.

    Portadown 3-1 Ards

The Ports remain bottom but a spirited comeback win will boost their confidence.

  10. Post update

    Linfield 0-0 Crusaders

Crues boss Stephen Baxter is sent to the stands in a fiery finish - just seconds left.

    Carrick 1-2 Glentoran

Gary Haveron has guided Glentoran to a hard-fought victory over his former side thanks to goals from Steven Gordon and Curtis Allen.

    Cliftonville 3-0 Glenavon

It's all over at Solitude and Cliftonville manager Gerard Lyttle will be delighted with his side's performance today.

    Linfield 0-0 Crusaders

Paul Heatley could have seen red for a heavy challange on Andrew Waterworth but gets away with a yellow. Linfield's Matthew Clarke shoves Heatley in response and also goes in the book. Getting a bit fiesty at Windsor.

  14. Post update

    Carrick 1-2 Glentoran

Starting to get a bit tempestuous now as the handbags come out between Allen and Murray, but neither player is booked. Glentoran edging closer to a third straight win.

  15. GOAL

    Portadown 3-1 Ards

A big turnaround at Shamrock Park as the Ports come from behind to take a two-goal lead courtesy of a Brendan Shannon penalty on 78 minutes after a foul on Aaron Haire.

  16. Video: Ports lead against Ards

  17. CLOSE!

    Linfield 0-0 Crusaders

Crusaders midfielder Jordan Forsythe has his goalbound shot blocked and the ball falls kindly to Gavin Whyte, but from 12 yards out and straight in front of goal the winger slices his effort high and wide.

  18. GOAL

    Cliftonville 3-0 Glenavon

David McDaid capitalises on some terrible defending to make it three for Cliftonville. Gary Hamilton will not want to see that one again. Lindsay tried to cushion a back pass to Jonathan Tuffey but was under hit and the Reds striker pounced to put some gloss on the scoreline for the north Belfast side.

  19. Video: Cliftonville at double

    Cliftonville 2-0 Glenavon

Jason McGuinness and Ruairi Harkin score in the second half for the Reds at Solitude.

  20. GOAL

    Ballymena 4-0 Ballinamallard

The misery for Mallards deepens as Friel nets a fourth for Ballymena. The Sky Blues are cruising now and the visitors need to stop the bleeding.
