  1. Goodbye

Ultimately very impressive from Arsenal in the end after falling behind and they could have won by more than 3-1. Stoke's wait for a win at the Gunners will now go into a 36th year.

Thanks very much for joining us. You can follow all the reaction to Saturday's Premier League football here while the developing match report is here.

Cheerio and enjoy your Saturday evening.

  2. FULL-TIME - Arsenal 3-1 Stoke

Top of the league for Arsenal. It may last less than 24 hours but they won't care.

  3. Post update

    Arsenal 3-1 Stoke

Chance for Olivier Giroud but he heads wide. The cross came from Hector Bellerin. Again.

  4. 'Stoke heads going down'

    Arsenal 3-1 Stoke City

    Terry Butcher

Ex-England captain at the Emirates for BBC Radio 5 live

Marko Arnautovic has had a frustrating afternoon. He has had one or two opportunites but had to watch Arsenal score three really good goals.

Heads are going down among the Stoke players, but if they get a goal back now it might be an interesting last couple of minutes.

    Arsenal 3-1 Stoke

    Three added minutes...

  6. Post update

    Arsenal 3-1 Stoke

The game being played almost exclusively in the Stoke half. Remember, Arsenal can't afford to concede if they want to be top tonight.

  7. 'Sanchez and Ozil irreplaceable'

    Arsenal 3-1 Stoke City

    Kevin Kilbane

Former Everton and Sunderland winger on Final Score

Mesut Ozil celebrates scoring their second goal with Alexis Sanchez

Arsene Wenger has got to keep Sanchez and Ozil. What would it take to replace them? That's what you have to think about, regardless of wages.

They are irreplaceable. You are not going to be able to get that kind of talent into Arsenal.

    Arsenal 3-1 Stoke

Arsenal pressing for the fourth but Theo Walcott's cross across the box can't locate a team-mate.

Julien Ngoy, a 19-year-old Belgian, comes on for a surely beaten Stoke, making his Premier League debut in replacing Xherdan Shaqiri.

    Arsenal 3-1 Stoke

Lee Grant, not for the first time today, gets down to make an excellent stop, keeping out Walcott again.

    Arsenal 3-1 Stoke

Charlie Adam is replaced by Ramadan Sobhi.

    Arsenal 3-1 Stoke

Alexis Sanchez is replaced by Olivier Giroud. Five goals so far this season for the Frenchman in the league but still no starts outside cup competitions.

  12. GOAL - Arsenal 3-1 Stoke

    Alex Iwobi (75 mins)

Nearly an equaliser at one end but is that game over? Sub Alex Iwobi slips it to Sanchez, who appears to be fouled but the Nigerian runs on to reclaim possession and slots past Lee Grant.

The Gunners are going top on goals scored over Chelsea as it stands.

    Alex Iwobi

    Arsenal 2-1 Stoke

And the big fella gets up at the far post to head down and Petr Cech does really well to keep it out! Nearly worked a treat for Mark Hughes.

Crouch was the last English player to score for Stoke in the Premier League - in May 2015. The Potters have scored 55 times since then.

    Peter Crouch

    Arsenal 2-1 Stoke

Joe Allen spreads play, it comes back to the Welshman and he wins a corner... the perfect time to introduce Peter Crouch!

    Arsenal 2-1 Stoke

Oxlade-Chamberlain off, Alex Iwobi on for Arsenal.

    Alex Iwobi
  16. Post update

    Arsenal 2-1 Stoke

Marko Arnautovic moves inside and lets fly from 25 yards but it's wide and wild. Better from Stoke though who are threatening an equaliser all of a sudden.

Another chance - for Diouf this time - he's unmarked in the centre of the box but heads well wide.

  17. Post update

    Arsenal 2-1 Stoke

Mame Biram Diouf wins a corner for Stoke but the visitors can't do anything with it.

  18. 'Turbo-charged Gunners'

    Arsenal 2-1 Stoke City

    Terry Butcher

Ex-England captain at the Emirates for BBC Radio 5 live

It is like someone flicks a switch and Arsenal go into turbo gear. Ozil showed pace, picked out Oxlade-Chamberlain. He looked sharp coming in from left side. That was a chance.

  19. Post update

    Arsenal 2-1 Stoke

Alexis Sanchez bears down on goal but Erik Pieters gets across just in time. All Arsenal now.

  20. Post update

    Arsenal 2-1 Stoke

Bellerin drives forward again but isn't quite able to pull a cross back before the ball goes out of play. He's been excellent since replacing the injured Mustafi.
