  1. Thanks and goodbye

    Watford 2-1 Leicester

Watford just about do enough for the victory. They scored their fastest ever Premier League goal - in 33 seconds - before Roberto Pereyra curled in an excellent second.

Leicester pulled one back with Riyad Mahrez's penalty but were denied an equaliser by some excellent resolute defending from Watford.

The Foxes become only the third reigning top-flight champions, after Leeds in 1992 and Blackburn in 1995, to start a Premier League season without a win from their opening six away games.

We will end this live page here.

    The report is here.

And you can follow all the reaction from today's games here.

    Thanks and goodbye.

  3. Post update

    Watford 2-1 Leicester

A late chance for Jamie Vardy, but no curl, no pace, no direction as it goes well wide. It sums up a miserable day for the England centre-forward.

Apart from winning a penalty, he has had a frustrating time and not looked like ending his 12-game goalless run for Leicester.

  4. Post update

    Watford 2-1 Leicester

A free-kick in their own half for Leicester. The big centre-halves storm forward, but there is no joy as Watford deal with it.

  5. Post update

    Watford 2-1 Leicester

Five minutes of injury time. A late twist?

  6. Post update

    Watford 2-1 Leicester

    Steve Wilson

    Match of the Day commentator

Leicester look more threatening now than they have at any other time in this match.

    Watford 2-1 Leicester

Nordin Amrabat goes off with Adlene Guedioura coming on for the hosts.

Elsewhere, Watford captain Younes Kaboul has cramp and needs the help of a team-mate. Kaboul is one of those Watford defenders who have thrown their bodies in front of the ball on a few occasions today.

  8. Post update

    Watford 2-1 Leicester

More pressure for the visitors, but the home side are defending in numbers and putting their bodies on the line.

Five minutes to go, can Watford hang on or can Leicester snatch a result after being 2-0 down inside the opening 12 minutes?

    Troy Deeney
  9. 'Exciting'

    Watford 2-1 Leicester

    Steve Wilson

    Match of the Day commentator

It is exciting stuff. But there is a real feeling that Watford are hanging on.

  10. Post update

    Watford 2-1 Leicester

Nordin Amrabat might best avoid Troy Deeney later on.

Again the Watford captain is furious as Amrabat opts to shoot instead of passing to the centre forward. Again the ball does more harm to the fans behind the goal than the Leicester goal

    We remain at 2-1.

  11. YELLOW CARD - Gray (Leicester)

    Watford 2-1 Leicester

A silly, silly booking for Demarai Gray. The Leicester substitute is shown yellow for petulantly throwing the ball to the ground.

  12. Post update

    Watford 2-1 Leicester

Leicester's corner from the left wing is only half cleared. It falls to Wes Morgan on the edge of the area and his strike hits Younes Kaboul. Was there an arm involved?

Referee Neil Swarbrick says no. Defender Kaboul is close to Morgan, but the arm was up and there was contact with the ball.

    Leicester furious.

    Watford 2-1 Leicester

A corner for Leicester. Their fifth of the day. But before it can be taken then bring on Ahmed Musa in place of Marc Albrighton. That is Claudio Ranieri's last throw of the dice.

  14. Post update

    Watford 2-1 Leicester

A head-to-head collision between Leicester's Robert Huth and Watford's Miguel Britos leaves the home defender a bit dazed, but after a short break he is able to carry on.

  15. Post update

    Watford 2-1 Leicester

Troy Deeney is not too happy with team-mate Nordin Amrabat.

The Watford captain, on 99 club goals, is waiting for Amrabat to slide a pass into him on the edge of the penalty area. Amrabat does not follow rank though and opts to shoot, but his effort dribbles well wide.

  16. Post update

    Watford 2-1 Leicester

An outswinging corner from the right wing finds Watford's Sebastian Prodl at the back of the penalty area. But the defender is off balance and can only screw his header well wide.

  17. Post update

    Watford 2-1 Leicester

Twenty minutes to go. What will be the final score? I have no idea. Both sides looking vulnerable.

    Watford 2-1 Leicester

Demarai Gray and Jeffrey Schlupp come on, with Shinji Okazaki and Christian Fuchs going off as Leicester look for an equaliser.

In Fuchs' case he was taken off before he could get himself in any more trouble after being on a booking.

    Watford 2-1 Leicester

That could have been the game.

Nordin Amrabat and Daryl Janmaat link up and the ball is dinked to the back post where Roberto Pereyra is waiting. He heads powerfully at goal from close range but it is too close to Ron-Robert Zieler, who shows his good reactions to push it clear.

A minute later Younes Kaboul heads over from a corner.

  20. Post update

    Watford 2-1 Leicester

If Leicester are to come back in this game they need Christian Fuchs to keep a cool head. The left-back is on thin ice as he is already on a yellow card and then pulls back the shirt of Nordin Amrabat.

Referee Neil Swarbrick has a word with Fuchs and his captain Wes Morgan. Take that as a last warning.
