  6. Let's rewind

So Cardiff triumph in the last EFL game of the day.

Before we sign off for the day, let's take a look back at some of today's earlier results...

  7. 'A good first half'

    FT: Nottm Forest 1-2 Cardiff

Cardiff goalscorer Joe Ralls told Sky Sports: "In the end it was about coming here and taking the three points.

"It is a tough place to come and we played well in the first half."

  8. 'Stupid by me'

    FT: Nottm Forest 1-2 Cardiff

Cardiff goalscorer Aron Gunnarsson, who also conceded a late penalty, told Sky Sports: "It was a stupid mistake by myself at the end. I'm sure it was exciting for people at home, that last couple of minutes, but we should have put the game away before that."

  9. FULL-TIME

    Nottm Forest 1-2 Cardiff

It is a nervy finish, but Cardiff City hang on for victory after Henri Lansbury pulled a goal back from the penalty spot in the 91st minute for a Nottingham Forest side that played the last 32 minutes with 10 men.

    Nottm Forest 1-2 Cardiff

Cardiff into the corner trying to chew up the remaining time. High tension in the final stages now.

  11. Post update

    Nottm Forest 1-2 Cardiff

Nottingham Forest sense there is something to be salvaged and they press for the leveller.

  12. GOAL: Nottm Forest 1-2 Cardiff

    Henri Lansbury (pen)

Aron Gunnarsson with the heavy challenge on Henri Lansbury on the edge of the area and the Nottingham Forest man steps up to convert from the penalty spot.

Late, late hope here at the City Ground for the home side.

Lansbury even ignores Britt Assombalonga who wants to take the penalty. Cool as you like, he sends Ben Amos the wrong way and he scores in the bottom left corner.

  13. Post update

    Nottm Forest 0-2 Cardiff

Cardiff City substitute Kieran Richardson sends Pajtim Kasami flying and gets himself booked for the late challenge.

Real airtime, that from Kasami. Ouch.

  14. Post update

    FT: Wolves 0-1 Leeds

Some thoughts from Leeds boss Garry Monk on social media, following today's 1-0 win at Wolves...

  15. Post update

    Nottm Forest 0-2 Cardiff

    Neil Warnock

Neil Warnock has certainly made an impression on his arrival as Cardiff boss, as they will be three games unbeaten since his arrival if they see this result through.

A win over Nottingham Forest will move them up to 19th in the table and equal on points with the Reds.

The Bluebirds just need to hold on for four minutes.

  16. Robinson set for talks over MK Dons future

    FT: MK Dons 0-3 Southend

    Karl Robinson

Karl Robinson says he will discuss his future as MK Dons manager tomorrow, after today's 3-0 home defeat by Southend left his side 19th in League One.

"I share everyone's frustrations, whether it be the chairman or the fans, or my family," Robinson told BBC Three Counties Radio.

"Everyone is in a low place.

"Me and the chairman will have a chat tomorrow. I have to be honest, (me leaving) is what a lot of people want. It's a decision for the chairman, not for me.

"If it is to be, I want to say thank you for everyone who has supported me over the last six and a half years."

  17. SUBSTITUTION

    Nottm Forest 0-2 Cardiff

Nottingham Forest's Armand Traore is replaced by Jorge Grant. There is less that nine minutes to make a difference now.

  18. Post update

    Nottm Forest 0-2 Cardiff

Nottingham Forest are getting turned around in defence with incredible ease at the moment. And looking tired to boot.

Every through ball seems to cause a moment of panic.

In response, it's long balls upfield now for a side that have struggled to make an impression on this match with a possession-based approach.

  19. Bruce eyes Villa improvement

    FT: Aston Villa 1-0 Fulham

    Steve Bruce

Aston Villa manager Steve Bruce says his new side "can only get better" after Jonathan Kodjia's goal gave them a 1-0 win over Fulham.

Bruce, 55, has picked up seven points from a possible nine since taking charge at Villa Park, and has lifted the Villans to 16th in the table.

"We have made a decent start and I am delighted for the players. A week ago they were quiet. There have been huge changes throughout the club," Bruce said.

"We have tried to breathe a bit of life back into the players.

"There are big expectations here at Villa and you are having a tough time. But there is only one solution and that is to work hard to earn a few good results.

"Hopefully this is the start and we are going to go onwards and upwards."

Next up for Villa? Just a derby against Birmingham City, who Bruce managed for six years.

  20. Post update

    Nottm Forest 0-2 Cardiff

Miss of the night, miss of the day and might put it up there as miss of the season as Anthony Pilkington shoots wide of an empty net.

Initially Chris Cohen shows amazing commitment to clear a Pilkington shot off the line after the Cardiff man rounded keeper Vladimir Stojkovic.

The ball breaks to the left of the goal and Pilkington simply has no composure and puts it well wide.
