  1. Goodbye for now

    FT: Huddersfield 0-1 Sheffield Wednesday

Huddersfield will get chance to rebound from today's defeat when they travel to Preston on Wednesday, when the Owls will be taking on Neil Warnock's Cardiff in Wales.

Before that, we'll have more live text coverage of ten Championship fixtures on another slate of Tuesday evening EFL action.

I hope you'll join us then, but for it's goodbye for now. Thanks for joining me today.

  2. Post-match analysis

    Huddersfield 0-1 Sheffield Wednesday

    Paul Ogden

BBC Radio Leeds' Huddersfield Town commentator

"Huddersfield have again competed against Sheffield Wednesday but their flaw today was a relative lack of attacking options and very few chances created.

"It had to be a careful performance but perhaps for the first time this season, Huddersfield have been beaten tactically by an opponent who applied themselves better tactically than Town did.

"Carlos Carvalhal got it bang on. Sheffield Wednesday sat back and they propbably created more chances than they expected to.

"But the bigger picture is that Town have lost three matches this season, all by a single goal, all by 1-0. They are doing ok."

  3. How it stands

    FT: Huddersfield 0-1 Sheffield Wednesday

A big win for a resurgent Sheffield Wednesday takes them up to seventh in the table as we pass the quarter-distance mark in the Championship season.

Huddersfield remain third, missing out on the chance to leapfrog Norwich at the top of the division.

  4. "This is not a normal win"

    FT: Huddersfield 0-1 Sheffield Wednesday

    Carlos Carvalhal

Carlos Carvalhal was delighted with his team's performance against Huddersfield, who were previously unbeaten in front of their own fans.

Sheffield Wednesday head coach Carlos Carvalhal told Sky Sports:

"We won and we know why, we are doing really well the last six or seven games.

"My players have discovered the soul of this team, they are playing compact and we know exactly what we have to do."

  5. Post-match analysis

    FT: Huddersfield 0-1 Sheffield Wednesday

    Paul Ogden

BBC Radio Leeds' Huddersfield Town commentator

"Sheffield Wednesday have edged it in terms of tactics, physical application and a well-taken penalty from Fernando Forestieri.

"He is ever the thorn in Huddersfield's side."

  6. Post update

    FT: Huddersfield 0-1 Sheffield Wednesday

Fernando Forestieri was dropped by Sheffield Wednesday earlier this season after refusing to play against Norwich, but he scored the only goal today.

Sheffield Wednesday defender Sam Hutchinson told Sky Sports:

"I said it before the start of the season, Fernando's the best player in the Championship without a shadow of a doubt."

  7. FULL-TIME: Huddersfield 0-1 Sheffield Wednesday

    Sheffield Wednesday celebrate

Sheffield Wednesday inflict Huddersfield's first home defeat of the season, with Fernando Forestieri's penalty the only difference between the two sides.

That's five wins in seven games now for the visitors, who are starting to show the form which took them to the play-off final last term.

  8. Post update

    Huddersfield 0-1 Sheffield Wednesday

Route one stuff now from Huddersfield, who have just one minute left to find an equaliser.

The hosts win a free-kick inside the Owls' half...

  9. Post update

    Huddersfield 0-0 Sheffield Wednesday

    It should be 2-0.

Liam Palmer has acres of space inside the Huddersfield box to pick a spot and shoot, but he fires straight at Danny Ward.

Three minutes of added time to play.

  10. The name's Wallace, Ross Wallace

    Tweet using #bbcefl

Michael Hefele brought on some instructions on a piece of paper as he came off the bench - a piece of paper Sheffield Wednesday winger Ross Wallace very swiftly decided to steal from the German's hands.

The paper is swiftly tucked down a Town player's sock. It's a bit late now, lads.

Stavros Makrozachopo: Ross Wallace, spy of spies

  11. Post update

    Huddersfield 0-1 Sheffield Wednesday

Huddersfield throw on defender Michael Hefele in place of Chris Lowe to try to give themselves an aerial presence up front.

The German has scored only one goal in eight games this season, although he's started just once.

Atdhe Nuhiu comes on for Sheffield Wednesday as they try to cling on to their one-goal advantage, with goalscorer Fernando Forestieri heading to the bench.

  12. Off the line!

    Huddersfield 0-1 Sheffield Wednesday

Chris Lowe swings in yet another Huddersfield corner and Elias Kachunga's shot is headed off the line by Daniel Pudil.

That's the first time Wednesday have looked like conceding this half - it's been a sterling defensive performance from the visitors.

  13. Post update

    Huddersfield 0-1 Sheffield Wednesday

    Almost game over.

Kieran Lee does magnificently to cross with the outside of his boot under significant pressure from a Huddersfield defender, with Gary Hooper waiting at the far post.

Tommy Smith is there to head it away and keep his side in contention. It's terrific defending from the Terriers right-back.

  14. Post update

    Huddersfield 0-1 Sheffield Wednesday

Aaron Mooy has a go from a free-kick for Huddersfield, but can't get the ball up and over the wall.

We've not seen the best of the Australia international today and Huddersfield's attacking edge has been blunted as a result.

There's still 15 minutes for them to turn the score around - Sheffield Wednesday's defence are looking very comfortable though.

  15. Post update

    Huddersfield 0-1 Sheffield Wednesday

Former Huddersfield goalkeeper Matt Glennon on BBC Radio Leeds:

"The issue I have with that penalty is that the referee didn't give it straight away and neither did the linesman.

"The referee waited three, four, five seconds before giving it.

"When you are that close to a player when he shoots then the referee has to be sure it's a penalty and I don't think he can be."

  16. Post update

    Huddersfield 0-1 Sheffield Wednesday

Huddersfield turn to Jack Payne to try to rescue a point from this contest.

Off comes Kasey Palmer, who had struggled to make an impact for the Terriers today.

  17. GOAL: Huddersfield 0-1 Sheffield Wednesday

    Fernando Forestieri

    Fernando Forestieri scores

Fernando Forestieri takes a little stutter step in his run up before smashing the ball into the right-hand corner.

    Can Huddersfield respond?

  18. Penalty to Sheffield Wednesday

    Huddersfield 0-0 Sheffield Wednesday

Sheffield Wednesday win a corner and Tom Lees' shot cannons off Rajiv van La Parra's arm. Penalty!

  19. Post update

    Huddersfield 0-0 Sheffield Wednesday

    Huddersfield v Sheffield Wednesday

Former Huddersfield goalkeeper Matt Glennon on BBC Radio Leeds:

"This game needs a spark. It's gone cagey again, like it was in the first half."

  20. Post update

    Huddersfield 0-0 Sheffield Wednesday

Huddersfield win a free-kick from nearly 30 yards out, but that doesn't stop Chris Lowe from having an attempt on goal.

It's a decent effort from that range, just a touch high and wide of goal.

    Into the final half-hour now.
