  2. What they said

    Linfield 4-1 Portadown

Quote Message: It was a great team performance and we needed the result to keep us pushing on. The finishing from the lads up front was top drawer and we are delighted with the three points. from Mark Stafford Linfield defender

  3. What they said

    Crusaders 3-1 Dungannon Swifts

Quote Message: We went 1-0 down but did not panic because at Seaview, nine times out of 10, we fancy ourselves for a goal. We got the first straight away from a penalty and in the second half we kept going and eventually we got the goals. Dungannon are a decent side and we knew there would be spells when we would not have so much of the ball. But at home we fancy ourselves against anyone. from Billy Joe Burns Crusaders

  4. What they said

    Ballymena 3-2 Cliftonville

Quote Message: I am really pleased for the players, but I am going to be asking them to keep doing what they are doing - working hard and giving of their best and we will see where that takes us from David Jeffrey Ballymena United manager

  5. What they said

    Glenavon 0-1 Ballinamallard United

Quote Message: It has been a tough week for everyone at the club after last week's defeat. We asked the players for a reaction and we got that in bundles. Everyone is shattered in the dressing room. Yes, we rode our luck a bit. When they got a penalty I thought 'here we go again' but James made the save. I am thrilled for everybody. from Gavin Dykes Ballinamallard manager

  6. What they said

    Ards 2-0 Glentoran

Quote Message: We worked hard for this. Niall had us well organised and we gave it all we could. Last season I was playing in the Amateur League and then I got this great opportunity. We are not setting targets but we would take top six all day long. from Joe McKinney Ards

    Ards 2-0 Glentoran

Ards move back up to second place in the Premiership table as Glentoran's poor start to the season continues.

Former Glens man Johnny Taylor hit the early Ards opener with Ross Arthurs doubling their advantage midway through the second half.

    Glenavon 0-1 Ballinamallard United

Glenavon are left stunned as Ballinamallard clinch their first Premiership win of the season thanks to Lecky's late penalty.

The emotion of the Ballinamallard players at the final show just what this victory means to them.

Glenavon are going to drop from second to sixth after this defeat.

    Coleraine 2-0 Carrick Rangers

Three wins in a row for the Bannsiders  who will move up two places to fourth in the table, if my sums are right.

    Ballymena United 3-2 Cliftonville

Ballymena move into the top half of the Premiership table thanks to a first home league win of the season.

    Linfield 4-1 Portadown

Linfield make it three wins and three draws from their first six games with a comprehensive win over Portadown.

    Crusaders 3-1 Dungannon Swifts

Crusaders will remain four points clear, but it looks like Ards are moving into second place as Glenavon are 1-0 down at home to Ballinamallard.

  13. GOAL

    Glenavon 0-1 Ballinamallard United

Ballinamallard have surely snatched victory right at the death at Mourneview after Adam Lecky converts a penalty deep into injury-time.

Lecky, himself, was felled for the spot-kick.

  14. GOAL

    Ballymena United 3-2 Cliftonville

Ross Lavery pulls one back for the Reds in the 88th minute with a low left-foot shot into the bottom corner from inside the box.

  15. GOAL

    Coleraine 2-0 Carrick Rangers

Looks like a home win now as Darren McCauley makes it 2-0 to  Coleraine in the 90th minute, finding room in the box to shoot past Brian Neeson.

  16. Paul over now

    Crusaders 3-1 Dungannon Swifts

Champions Crusaders make sure of maximum points at Seaview as Paul Heatley scores his second goal - a nice first-time right-foot shot into the far corner. Classy.

  17. GOAL

    Ballymena United 3-1 Cliftonville

Tony Kane nets his second penalty of the day with five minutes left to put Ballymena firmly in the driving seat at the Showgrounds.

The penalty was awarded after Eamonn Seydak handled Johnny McMurray's cross inside the area.

  18. GOAL

    Linfield 4-1 Portadown

Former Linfield midfielder Robert Garrett pulls one back for Portadown with five minutes remaining but Aaron Burns restores the home side's three-goal advantage with a simple header from Kirk Millar's assist two minutes later.

  19. GOAL

    Ballymena United 2-1 Cliftonville

Cathair Friel puts Ballymena in front with his sixth goal of the season and his fifth in the Premiership.

The ex-Limavady striker's shot from the corner of the box took a wicked deflection and flew over helpless Reds goalkeeper Jason Mooney.

  20. Paddy McCourt penalty saved

    Glenavon 0-0 Ballinamallard

Here's the moment Glenavon's Paddy McCourt fluffed a great chance to make the breakthrough at Mourneview Park. It is their former keeper James McGrath who pulls off a fine save to keep Ballinamallard on level terms.
