  1. That's all folks

    FT: Rangers 3-0 Stranraer

I'll sign off now. Thanks for your company on a comfortable evening for Rangers. It was a very one-sided 'contest'.

We'll be back tomorrow with more League Cup action. Join us for that if you can.

  2. 'A good night's work'

    FT: Rangers 3-0 Stranraer

Rangers manager Mark Warburton talking to BT Sport: "I'm pleased with the way the players maintained their intensity. We moved the ball well and created lots of chances. It was a good night's work."

  3. Barton content with comfortable win

    FT: Rangers 3-0 Stranraer

Joey Barton talking to BT Sport: "It's not ideal since we've not scored as many goals as we'd have liked but we got the job done fairly efficiently.

"It's great to come into a side that wants to play attacking football and create opportunities."

Barton strolled through 64 minutes on his first start for Rangers.

  4. Cool customer Kranjcar

    FT: Rangers 3-0 Stranraer

Barrie McKay was the star for Rangers in the first half but Niko Kranjcar ran the show after the interval, with an array of deft touches, neat passes and a thunderous finish for the evening's third goal.

He was never that quick and he's maybe lost a yard or two but, on this evidence, he will be a key player for Mark Warburton this season. A real crowd pleaser...

  5. Post update

    FT: Rangers 3-0 Stranraer

Stranraer stay second in the section but Motherwell can overtake them with a win at home to East Stirlingshire tomorrow.

There's another busy card in the competition, with 12 games on, and BBC Radio Scotland's Sportsound will be all over the action once again.

  6. FULL-TIME

    Rangers 3-0 Stranraer

Easy. Rangers stroll into the last 16 of the League Cup as Group F winners.

  7. Post update

    Rangers 3-0 Stranraer

It doesn't look like the hat-trick is going to happen for Martyn Waghorn as his first-time shot on the turn trundles wide.

Only one minute of stoppage time to come...

  8. Post update

    Rangers 3-0 Stranraer

Stranraer again surrender possession cheaply and Jordan Rossiter has a pop at goal from 20 yards. Cammy Belford is a bit sluggish going down but he gets the job done, sticking out a hand to make the stop.

  9. CLOSE!

    Rangers 3-0 Stranraer

How has that not gone in? Joe Dodoo sends James Tavernier away and the full-back has time to pick out Kenny Miller with a firm, low delivery but the sliding striker, with team-mate Harry Forrester breathing down his neck, can only nudge the ball wide from six yards.

  10. Post update

    Rangers 3-0 Stranraer

Niko Kranjcar, who was clattered by Ryan Thomson, moments earlier, takes aim for the top corner and the crafty midfielder's effort fizzes narrowly off target.

Thomson collects a yellow card for his robust challenge.

  11. CLOSE!

    Rangers 3-0 Stranraer

Niko Kranjcar has been on top form in this second half and he sends Kenny Miller in with a lovely weighted pass over the top. The veteran striker knocks it on with his head before his shot is blocked by a sprawling Cammy Belford and Steven Bell is able to hack clear from the goal-line.

  12. Post update

    Rangers 3-0 Stranraer

Is that a shot from Stranraer? I think it is. Substitute Juliano Moreno has a first-time crack at a high ball and his effort dips wide.

  13. Post update

    Rangers 3-0 Stranraer

Frustrated Willie Gibson gets booked for a spot of back-chat before Stranraer make their final change, with Juliano Moreno on for Mark McGuigan.

  14. Post update

    Rangers 3-0 Stranraer

A big cheer from the home fans as Joe Dodoo wrong-foots his opponent with a nice touch and speeds away to deliver a raking cross into the penalty box but Kenny Miller can't apply a final touch.

  15. Post update

    Rangers 3-0 Stranraer

More alarming defending from Stranraer as Frank McKeown makes a fankle of back-pass and keeper Cammy Belford, who is carrying a few pounds, has to come racing out of his area to get a foot on the ball before Kenny Miller can get there.

  16. Post update

    Rangers 3-0 Stranraer

Former Liverpool midfielder Jordan Rossiter is making his Gers debut, having been away on Under-19 duty with England.

  17. Post update

    Rangers 3-0 Stranraer

A triple substitution for the hosts, with Kenny Miller, Joe Dodoo and Jordan Rossiter replacing Halliday, McKay and Barton.

  18. Post update

    Rangers 3-0 Stranraer

A teasing pass from Niko Kranjcar curls into the path of Andy Halliday but the Rangers midfielder is just muscled out by defender Scott Robertson.

  19. Post update

    Rangers 3-0 Stranraer

There is some activity on the Rangers bench. Manager Mark Warburton might want to give some of his summer signings a taste of the action soon.

  20. GOAL Rangers 3-0 Stranraer

    Niko Kranjcar

Martyn Waghorn does well to kill a high ball with his first touch and Niko Kranjcar takes it off his toes to smash in a shot from the edge of the penalty area.

A first Rangers goal for the Croatian, who almost cracks a smile.
