  1. Goodbye

    FT: QPR 2-3 Middlesbrough

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink says that was disappointing - and it certainly was given the fine margins - but added that his side kept going and it was a goal that should have stood.

Unfortunately though we've run out of time.

Don't forget there's an absolute wealth of football to follow tomorrow... join us back here on BBC Sport.

Until then, thanks and good night!

  2. FT: QPR 2-3 Middlesbrough

  3. FT: QPR 2-3 Middlesbrough

The table to your right will make happy reading for Teessiders, two points now separate Boro from Brighton who play Burnley tomorrow.

    Let's recap who's playing tomorrow...

  4. FT: QPR 2-3 Middlesbrough

Quote Message: "It was a typical Championship game, we controlled the first 25 minutes, but one mistake, we concede and the second 20 minutes they were better than us. We can't make one mistake, it can be dangerous. But we were better again second-half in the first 20 mins and scored two goals." from Middlesbrough boss Aitor Karanka speaking to Sky Sports

  5. FT: QPR 2-3 Middlesbrough

If anyone on the QPR side deserved to be a winner tonight, then it was Alex Smithies.

The former Huddersfield custodian was chief-frustrator to the Teessiders, denying Jordan Rhodes and Leadbitter on several occasions.

His spot-kick save in particular merited some reward.

    Alex Smithies penalty save
  6. FT: QPR 2-3 Middlesbrough

If Middlesbrough do eventually go up this season, then they might just point to this game as having been key to their progress.

Grant Leadbitter epitomised their belief, shrugging off a missed penalty to swing in a deadly corner that Gaston Ramirez nodded home.

Ben Gibson's winner soon after was backed up by a solid defensive effort, even under Rangers late pressure.

    FT: QPR 2-3 Middlesbrough

Aitor Karanka and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink in heated discussion at the end but Middlesbrough win three big points to go into the Championship top two.

Rangers awoke too late to get anything out of the game but they definitely pushed Boro hard.

Teesside will smile after this one, it's a QPR double for them.

  8. QPR 2-3 Middlesbrough

David Nugent playing in the corner to see out time. Boro can't keep it.

Goal kick. Last throw for QPR.

  9. QPR 2-3 Middlesbrough

What a chance for Boro to put this to bed!

Break by the visitors gets Nsue on the right and his square ball to Adam Forshaw is just seen off.

    Boro still attacking.

  10. QPR 1-3 Middlesbrough

Five minutes of added time!? This will be tense...

  11. QPR 2-3 Middlesbrough

Boro have a foot in that top-two but would be a bit more comfortable if they can win to get there rather than draw.

They will be two points clear rather than ahead on goal difference.

Inside the last minute. Alex Smithies goes long for QPR.

  12. GOAL (Chery)

    QPR 2-3 Middlesbrough

Seb Polter laid the foundations with a run and lay-off and after his dummy run drew some space, Tjaronn Chery hits a rocket beyond Dimi Konstantopoulos.

Game on. Time running out but there's only a goal in it.

  13. SUBSTITUTION (Ayala)

    QPR 1-3 Middlesbrough

Daniel Ayala is on for Middlesbrough. Stewart Downing gets a breather.

  14. QPR 1-3 Middlesbrough

QPR's late adventure have left gaps at the back but Boro unable to exploit on that break as David Nugent's pass goes awry.

Rangers quick to get the ball forward but Middlesbrough do look solid.

  15. QPR 1-3 Middlesbrough

Conor Washington with a quick glimpse of his obvious talent to slip Tomas Kalas but the cross is cut-out.

Rangers running out of time but giving it a go.

  16. SUBSTITUTION (Washington)

    QPR 1-3 Middlesbrough

Former Peterborough forward Conor Washington is summoned from the bench to replace Ale Faurlin.

Scored some wonder goals in League One. Will certainly be one to watch in the last 11 minutes or so.

  17. SUBSTITUTION (Nugent)

    QPR 1-3 Middlesbrough

David Nugent comes off and Jordan Rhodes makes way. Like for like and Boro will stick with one up top.

  18. QPR 1-3 Middlesbrough

One of the best football games I have been to was at Union Berlin's Alte Forestei home. Lovely people, great story too.

Seb Polter was a key figure for them and looks just as at home here in the Championship.

Hasn't looked like scoring too often (bar that one that was ruled out) but brings others in the game.

  19. QPR 1-3 Middlesbrough

    Alex Smithies again denying Middlesbrough.

Huddersfield try to play out from the back and Jordan Rhodes pounced on a loose ball but saw his shot blocked. Smithies stood him up beautifully.

    Corner comes to nothing.

  20. QPR 1-3 Middlesbrough

Testament to Middlesbrough's organisation that they don't look ruffled by this little purple patch from QPR.

Junior Hoilett's introduction has given the hosts a bit of zest. His cut-back was turned in by Seb Polter but had gone behind first said the referee. Lucky let-off for Boro...
