  1. Goodbye

So, Celtic extend their lead at the top of the table to six points with an eight-goal dismantling of Hamilton Accies.

Scottish Cup holders Inverness CT book their place in the next round - and a trip to Motherwell - courtesy of a 2-0 fourth-round replay win at home to Stirling.

Meanwhile, Forfar and Linlithgow will do it all again after their replay was abandoned because of floodlight failure. Ross County will have to wait to find out who they'll face in the fifth round.

Thanks for your company this evening. We're back on Friday for Aberdeen at home to Dundee in the Premiership. Hope you can join us then. Cheers.

  2. New top-flight record

That was a record for the SPL, Rich [see previous post] but tonight's game at Celtic Park produced a record scoreline for the new Premiership.

  4. Hamilton boss Martin Canning

    Celtic 8-1 Accies

Quote Message: When you concede three goals in the opening 10 minutes then you're on a hiding to nothing. All over the park we were too passive. We didn't have enough leaders on the park; in fact we had no leaders. Our season won't be dictated by what happens at Celtic Park. Everyone's hurting as much as they [the Accies fans] are hurting. We need to bounce back...
  5. Celtic manager Ronny Deila

    Celtic 8-1 Hamilton Accies

Quote Message: We played excellently and it was a great performance. It could've been more on the night and I'm very pleased with the team. We were dangerous today and we see more energy in the team.
Celtic manager Ronny Deila congratulates hat-trick hero Leigh Griffiths
  6. FULL-TIME Inverness CT 2-0 Stirling

John Hughes's troops see off Stirling following a hard-fought fourth round replay in the Highlands.

The fifth round tie against Motherwell at Fir Park should be a corker!

  7. Celtic 8-1 Hamilton Accies

    Tom English

BBC Sport Scotland at Celtic Park

Quote Message: The Hamilton keeper Michael McGovern and Eamonn Brophy were the only two Accies players who turned up. Martin Canning's players didn't have the stomach for the fight tonight and that's unforgivable. These are professional players and they need to better than that...
  8. CLOSE! Inverness CT 2-0 Stirling

Inverness go close to a third goal as Danny Devine curls a shot through a cluster of players and it ruffles the side-netting.

The Scottish Cup holders have a minute plus added time to negotiate before booking their place in the next round and a trip to Motherwell.

  9. FULL-TIME Celtic 8-1 Hamilton Accies

Ronny Deila's extend their lead at the top of the table to six points in a game Hamilton Accies will be keen to forget.

They were made to pay for poor defending as Celtic run up eight goals, including a hat-trick for Leigh Griffiths - a record scoreline in the Premiership.

  10. GOAL Celtic 8-1 Hamilton Accies (McGregor)

It's another one for Celtic as Callum McGregor gets in on the act with a rasping drive beyond the helpless Michael McGovern.

  12. Inverness CT 2-0 Stirling

Stirling have a little under 15 minutes to fashion the mother of all comebacks and find a way back into this Scottish Cup replay.

  14. YELLOW CARD

Inverness CT goalscorer Iain Vigurs sees his name jotted down in referee Mat Northcroft's big black book for a Platoon tumble under the close attention of Stirling Albion's William Robertson.

  15. GOAL Celtic 7-1 Hamilton Accies (Brophy)

The Hamilton revival is under way! Substitute Eamonn Brophy is coolness personified as he scuttles through on goal before dispatching a shot beyond Craig Gordon.

Some cheer for the small knot of Hamilton fans inside Celtic Park.

  17. Inverness CT 2-0 Stirling

    Martin Dowden

BBC Sport Scotland at the Caledonian Stadium

Quote Message: Vigurs's goal couldn't have been more timely as the home support started to voice their displeasure at the lack of cutting edge on show. It was a quality finish as, rather than blast it, he measured the ball into a gap just inside the post. That'll settle this one...
  18. GOAL Inverness CT 2-0 Stirling (Vigurs)

The Scottish Cup holders have one foot in the next round following a superbly taken goal. Ross Draper shows clever feet before teeing up Iain Vigurs who curls a crisp effort into the net beyond the despairing Chris Smith.

Coming hard on the heels of their failed penalty appeal, Stirling have it all to do with a little over half an hour remaining.

  19. PENALTY APPEAL

Oh, now then. Stirling howl for a penalty as Ross Forsyth's shot is blocked by Danny Devine but referee Mat Northcroft is having none of it.

Devine appeared to turn and block with his side rather than his arm...

  20. Inverness CT 1-0 Stirling

Inverness CT boss John Hughes, leaning back in the dugout and stroking his chin like a contented Bond baddie, will nevertheless be keen for his side to add to their slender lead.
