  4. Man of the Match - James Ward-Prowse

    Southampton 3-0 West Brom

The Southampton midfielder doubled his career tally with two goals in 35 minutes, and rarely sent a pass astray.

  5. Manager reaction - Ronald Koeman

    Southampton 3-0 West Brom

"James Ward-Prowse's early free-kick opened the game. It gave us confidence, meant we could control the game.

"It's important to score early against a side like West Brom, as it gives you the patience to try and score the second. At 1-0, we could be more patient.

"Now we are back playing our own way, how we like to play. Everyone looked very comfortable today - that's the most important thing. The players looked more confident than they have done recently. We totally deserved the win."

    Ronald Koeman
  6. Manager reaction - Tony Pulis

    Southampton 3-0 West Brom

"You've got to give Southampton credit, they were the better team and deserved to win the game.

"It would be interesting to see how many teams played away midweek and then picked up points away from home this weekend, because our players did look leggy.

"It just wasn't our day. All season we've done well away from home, today we didn't and got punished."

    Tony Pulis
  7. Victorious Wanyama

    Southampton 3-0 West Brom

Southampton midfielder Victor Wanyama returned to the starting line-up after a two-match suspension - and was straight back to his imperious best.

  9. The next Gareth Bale? Or Luke Shaw?

    Southampton 3-0 West Brom

    James McClean

Special mention has to go to Matt Targett today.

The 20-year-old put in a brilliant performance down the Southampton left - with his driving run and clever disguised pass for Dusan Tadic's goal a real high point.

And Targett was unlucky not to get on the scoresheet himself when his low shot across goal was denied by James McClean's spectacular back-heeled goalline clearance.

  14. Who's the best lefty?

    Bournemouth 3-0 Norwich

There's no better illustration of how far apart these two sides were than a comparison between their left midfielders.

The image on the left are all Marc Pugh's touches in the game for Bournemouth. Loads of them and loads in and around the penalty area.

On the right are Norwich's Ryan Jarvis's touches. Barely any in defence, and only a few more in danger areas.

  15. Man of the match - Charlie Daniels

    Bournemouth 3-0 Norwich

Marc Pugh deserves a mention - he was all over the place.

But Charlie Daniels... a goal, an assist, should have won a penalty. He was up and down the left side like a hare at the greyhounds.

  16. 'We won't start buying people left, right and centre'

    Bournemouth 3-0 Norwich

    Alex Neil

Norwich manager Alex Neil said: "We didn't deserve anything from the game, but we won't start buying people left, right and centre just because we lost the match.

"The transfer plans are in place, and we don't make decisions like that on the back of one game.

"Bournemouth were the better side. We didn't do enough with the ball and we got caught out by a couple of things we spoke about before the game, so that's disappointing."

  17. 'An assured performance'

    Bournemouth 3-0 Norwich

    Howe

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe: "It was the perfect afternoon in many ways.

"Any win in this league is so valuable and the players produced an excellent, assured performance.

"We knew the importance of this month going into it and today is a big step. We've got Sunderland next week and the games just keep getting bigger."
