Gregg the Red, Glasgow: "Why do you assume a very poor Celtic side will win the league ? We will run them close."

  4. Post update

    Celtic goalkeeper Fraser Forster

What now for Fraser Forster? The England cap has been heavily linked with Southampton and tonight's result may hasten the goalkeeper's departure from Celtic Park.

  5. #bbcsportscot

Robert Spencer: "#bbcsportscot who could Celtic be paired with in the Europa league and will they be seeded. Could they get Everton???

Celtic will be seeded and will thus avoid Tottenham Hotspur.

Stuart King: "#bbcsportscot Remember Artmedia Bratislava. Wee Gordy turned it round afterwards."

  6. Post update

Celtic miss out on a third straight Champions League group stage campaign and will need to negotiate a play-off to get into a Europa League group.

    Michal Zyro and Michal Kucharczyk

The goals of Michal Zyro and Michal Kucharczyk beat Celtic on the night, adding to the 4-1 win Legia Warsaw recorded in last week's first leg.

  8. FULL-TIME

Legia Warsaw complete a resounding aggregate win to progress to the Champions League play-off round. It's the Europa League play-off for Celtic.

  9. Post update

Closing stages now. Not long left.

  10. Post update

Final two substitutions for Legia Warsaw. Helio Pinto and Bartosz Bereszynski come on for Michal Zyro and Ondrej Duda.

  11. Post update

James Forrest draws a save from Legia Warsaw goalkeeper Dusan Kuciak. The winger has at least injected some pace to the Celtic attack.

  12. Post update

Callum McGregor and Leigh Griffiths try their best to give the Celtic fans something to cheer but neither finds their way to goal.

  13. Post update

    Celtic players looking dejected

This was the scene in the Celtic penalty area following that second Legia Warsaw goal. It's been a miserable night at Murrayfield for the Scottish champions.

  14. Post update

    Alasdair Lamont

BBC Scotland's senior football reporter Alasdair Lamont at Murrayfield

"Swathes of Celtic fans leaving the ground, resigned to the fact their team has not been good enough over the two legs. It's a rude awakening, having enjoyed some really great European nights over the past two seasons."

  15. Post update

Anytime Celtic go forward they come up against a brick wall. Legia Warsaw, on the other hand, spread the ball around freely once they get over halfway.

  16. Post update

Legia Warsaw force a couple of corners in quick succession and make a change with Jakub Kosecki coming on to replace Michael Kucharczyk.

  17. #bbcsportscot

Conor Healy: "#bbcsportscot Only Ronny's 4th competitive game. Lennon and Strachan suffered big defeats in Europe when they started, give the man a chance"

  18. Post update

More changes for Celtic. Anthony Stokes and Kris Commons make way for James Forrest and Teemu Pukki.

  19. #bbcsportscot

Marc Thomson: "#bbcsportscot this is dreadful. I understand balancing the books but to be gubbed like this must wake the board up"

  20. Post update

    Dusan Kuciak and Anthony Stokes

Anthony Stokes has had little joy in attack for Celtic this evening.

  21. TEXT 80295

Gerry from Woodilee: "Any Celtic Supporter who criticised Neil Lennon might now understand the Terrific job he did with both hands tied to his back."

Anonymous: "Ronny Deila? would have been better off with Ronny Corbett!"

  22. #bbcsportscot

BBC Scotland's Tom English: "Legia walked in that second goal. Celtic don't have a clue what they're doing at the back. Out-played. Out-coached. Out."

  23. YELLOW CARD

Celtic's Stefan Johansen is booked for tripping Ondrej Duda.

  24. Post update

With still around 25 minutes left, Celtic are coming to terms with playing in the Europa League play-off round.

  25. Post update

    Billy Dodds

    BBC Radio Scotland

"They [Legia Warsaw] have gone about their business. I don't think they're the best team but they're certainly not a bad team. They have carried out their jobs to the letter of the law."

  26. Post update

    Alasdair Lamont

BBC Scotland's senior football reporter Alasdair Lamont at Murrayfield

"Legia Warsaw waltz through the Celtic defence and double their lead through Kucharczyk. There was some lovely passing from the Poles, but Celtic just stood back in apparent admiration."

  27. GOAL

    Celtic 0-2 Legia Warsaw (Kucharczyk)

Michael Kucharczyk rounds Fraser Forster after some sloppy Celtic defending allows the forward in and the inevitable finish doubles Legia Warsaw's lead on the night.

  28. Post update

    Alasdair Lamont

BBC Scotland's senior football reporter Alasdair Lamont at Murrayfield

"Anthony Stokes' curling shot forces Kuciak into a decent save low to his right and then Kris Commons sends a shot just wide. Better but not good enough."

  29. Post update

Moments after Kris Commons volleys across the face of the Legia Warsaw goal, Leigh Griffiths comes on for Mikael Lustig for the hosts.

  30. GREAT SAVE!

Anthony Stokes tests Dusan Kuciak with curving, bouncing shot from the edge of the box. The Legia Warsaw got down well to push the ball away to his left.

  31. YELLOW CARD

Legia Warsaw forward Miroslav Radovic is booked for putting the ball into the net after an offside flag had been raised.

  32. Post update

More frustration for Celtic as they break. Kris Commons over-hits a pass and Anthony Stokes cannot retrieve on the right flank.

  33. Post update

    Legia Warsaw manager Henning Berg

Legia Warsaw manager Henning Berg has got it right tactically so far at Murrayfield.

  34. Post update

Celtic yet to really get a foothold in this second half. They still lack urgency, despite their need for goals.

  35. #bbcsportscot

David Terrasidius: "Why aren't #Celtic playing Griffith's?!?! We need goals and he provides them. #bbcsportscot""

  36. KICK-OFF

Legia Warsaw begin the second half.

  37. Post update

    Celtic manager Ronny Deila

Plenty to ponder for Celtic manager Ronny Deila after a disappointing first half.

  38. Post update

    Alasdair Lamont

BBC Scotland's senior football reporter Alasdair Lamont at Murrayfield

"Really uninspiring stuff from Celtic in that first half. No spark, very little creativity or goal threat. Legia are a decent team and haven't allowed Celtic to play, but the Scottish champions look like they're going backwards at the moment rather than progressing."

  39. #bbcsportscot

I am Me: "I hope Peter Lawell finally understands that you can't get into the Champion's League for free. Utterly embarrassing. #bbcsportscot"

  40. Post update

Michael Zyro scores for Legia Warsaw against Celtic

Michael Zyro's goal separates the two sides on the night but gives Legia Warsaw a 5-1 advantage on aggregate.

  41. TEXT 80295

Joe from Airdrie: "Get the manager out now well out his depth. I know you give people a chance but the longer you leave this the worse it will get. Come on celtic stop cheating the fans. We pay good money and this was on the cards."

Anonymous: "These last 2 games have proved that Celtic MUST invest BEFORE getting to the group stages. Fresh blood always gives any team a boost. Listen to the fans, not the purse strings"

Joe Baillie: "Another early capitulation for a rich club who will not spend a penny. Anyone fancy the Dons to win the SPL"

  42. Post update

Harry Cunningham: "#bbcsportscot So this is the Celtic who should "get a shot straight at the group stages" is it? Perhaps not!"

Andrew Bishop: "#bbcsportscot Celtic going to get slaughtered in the Europa league as well. So poor, can't attack, can't defend. Scottish football = awful

Allan Watson: "That's what you get for cost cutting to pay the shareholders #bbcsportscot that's why #Lennon left #samaras"

  43. HALF-TIME

    Celtic 0-1 Legia Warsaw

Legia Warsaw take a 1-0 lead and a 5-1 aggregate advantage into the interval. Celtic have a huge mountain to climb in the second 45 minutes but it looks like they are Europa League-bound at the moment.

  44. Post update

Legia Warsaw are playing with plenty of confidence now. There's a lot of fluency to their play and they are frustrating Celtic by keeping the ball high up the pitch.

  45. TEXT 80295

Andy Curran: "Would it be so bad for Celtic to drop into the Europa league? - they are clearly out of their depth and could suffer some humiliating and damaging defeats against champions league teams"

  46. Post update

    Legia Warsaw fans

The travelling Legia Warsaw have had plenty to enjoy in the match so far and they look on course for the Champions League play-off round.

  47. #bbcsportscot

Stephen Hay: "Legia play just like Ronny Delia wants to. So quick to put pressure on any Celtic player. Celtic can't handle it. #bbcsportscot"

John McEnerney: "bbcsportscot not happening for The Hoops tonight, hate to say it but the Europa League is where the team belong let's be honest about it!"

  48. TEXT 80295

Anonymous: "What is Celtic's plan B? We need to know."

  49. Post update

Legia Warsaw now lead 5-1 on aggregate, having cancelled out Celtic's away goal from the first leg. Celtic now need four goals to force extra-time and five to win.

  50. Post update

    Alasdair Lamont

BBC Scotland's senior football reporter Alasdair Lamont at Murrayfield

"Well that should be that. The Celtic defence is split wide open with a straight-forward through-ball and Zyro, who tormented Celtic last week, slides the ball past Fraser Forster and into the corner of the net."

  51. Post update

    Billy Dodds

    BBC Radio Scotland

"That looks like game over for Celtic."

  52. GOAL

    Celtic 0-1 Legia Warsaw (Zyro)

A quick break and ball over the top sets Michal Zyro in on goal for the visitors and he coolly slots the ball past Fraser Forster.

  53. Post update

    Alasdair Lamont

BBC Scotland's senior football reporter Alasdair Lamont at Murrayfield

"Celtic are yet to really test the Legia Warsaw goal, which must be a concern for Ronny Deila. They need to be patient, but equally they need to begin to make an impression on the Polish defence or it's the Europa League play-off for Celtic."

  54. Post update

Adam Matthews seeks to make a more positive impact. The Welsh full-back canters forward on the right and pulls the ball back but he misses all four of his team-mates in the middle.

  55. Post update

A dreadful pass by Adam Matthews gifts Miroslav Radovic possession near halfway and he's allowed a run at the Celtic defence but they are able to recover possession.

  56. Post update

An Anthony Stokes corner delivery is teasing but there's no-one gambling at the back post for Celtic and Legia are able to get the ball clear.

  57. Post update

    Liam McLeod

    BBC Radio Scotland commentator

"There is no way through for the Scottish champions."

  58. Post update

    Michal Zyro and Emilio Izaguirre

Emilio Izaguirre is closed down by Michal Zyro in the first half at Murrayfield.

  59. Post update

Celtic make progress towards the Legia Warsaw but are forced to retreat. They go again and Callum McGregor runs the ball out. More encouraging for the noisy home crowd.

  60. Post update

    Alasdair Lamont

BBC Scotland's senior football reporter Alasdair Lamont at Murrayfield

"Callum McGregor again looks like he could create problems for Legia Warsaw. On this occasion he tees up Charlie Mulgrew, but his curling effort is easily gathered by Kuciak."

  61. #bbcsportscot

Bruce Kettles: "#bbcsportscot Mon the Hoops! No Ambrose to worry about, so should be solid at the back!"

Billy Turnbull: "#bbcsportscot Seems Forster is working his ticket out of Celtic, wonderful."

  62. Post update

More pressing from Legia Warsaw and they are starting to grow into this game. Michal Kucharczyk is causing lots of problems on the left-hand side.

  63. Post update

    Alasdair Lamont

BBC Scotland's senior football reporter Alasdair Lamont at Murrayfield

Like the first leg, the opening exchanges are pretty end-to-end. Fraser Forster has to get down to smother a long-range shot from Ivica Vrdoljak, who's looking to make amends for his double failure from the penalty spot last week. Then Kuciak has to look lively to stop an Adam Matthews cross finding its way to a Celtic boot.

  64. Post update

Another poor clearance by Forster, this time with his feet, almost lets Legia Warsaw in but Celtic survive.

  65. Post update

The pace of Michal Kucharczyk troubles Celtic and the Polish side eventually win a corner. An unconvincing punch clear by Fraser Forster does little to settle nerves but the ball eventually goes out of play in Celtic's favour.

  66. #bbcsportscot

Jim Dempsey: "Stay positive, support to the end. We can do this. #bbcsportscot"

  67. Post update

Anthony Stokes chases down a Kris Commons pass but just cannot get clear with the ball. That's one of the first times Celtic have pressed through the middle.

  68. #bbcsportscot

Steven McNamara: "#BBCSPORTSCOT Come on Celtic! my prediction is 3-0, Commons 1st goal"

  69. Post update

Celtic seeing plenty of the ball early on. How they would like an early goal to really get the crowd going. Legia Warsaw are trying their best to close down space on the flanks.

  70. TEXT 80295

Jenni in Newtownards: "Celtic really need to up their game from last week's horror-show if they are to stand any chance of turning this tie around."

Andrew, Richhill: "Only qualification for the next stage will do for Celtic tonight, or Ronny Deila's start will be considered to have been a massive failure."

  71. #bbcsportscot

MBEHAN: "No Boerrigter in the squad (injured again) so frustrating when these were the games he was bought for #bbcsportscot"

Toniwater: "#bbcsportscot a miracle in Murrayfield is what we want tonight. Stokes needs to make life tough for the LW back 4 & try to nick a goal or 3! "

  72. Post update

Early free-kick from Kris Commons does not seriously test the Legia Warsaw defence.

  73. Post update

    Alasdair Lamont

BBC Scotland's senior football reporter Alasdair Lamont at Murrayfield

"Malky Mackay and Davie Moyes, two ex-Celts, are among those cheering Ronny Deila's side on tonight. They'll need all the backing they can get if they're to turn this around."

  74. KICK-OFF

    Celtic get the match underway.

  75. GET INVOLVED

John McEnerney: "#bbcsportscot Huge ask for The Hoops tonight, a massive performance required. LW won't throw away their lead, Berg has them well organised!"

  76. TEXT 80295

Nico: "I don't think Celtic will win this game tonight let alone turn the deficit around."

  77. Post update

    Ronny Deila

    Celtic manager

"We have to defend fantastically good. When we get the ball, we need to get wider, get the crosses in and get them under pressure.

"We have everything to win, we have to just go for it.

"We have to be patient but we want to put them under pressure."

  78. Post update

    Henning Berg

    Legia Warsaw manager

"It's too early to say [if Legia Warsaw will go through]. We had a great result.

"Celtic are a good team and have a lot of European experience that we don't have.

"It's a big test for us. We need to play a good game all over. They will have a lot of supporters here cheering them on."

  79. Post update

The eventual winner of the tie will progress to the Champions League play-off round. The loser will enter the Europa League play-off.

  80. Post update

    Alasdair Lamont

BBC Scotland's senior football reporter Alasdair Lamont at Murrayfield

"Legia Warsaw name exactly the same team as the one that beat Celtic last week, while Ronny Deila has made three changes.

"Perhaps the most surprising one is the inclusion of Nir Biton, who featured only fleetingly under Neil Lennon. But he's been preferred to Beram Kayal in the centre of the park. Deila's also opted to bring Emilio Izaguirre into the starting line-up, shuffling Adam Matthews back to his favoured right flank.

"It looks as though Mikael Lustig will play at the heart of the defence, though Charlie Mulgrew could also drop back there. And Anthony Stokes is preferred to Teemu Pukki as Celtic go in search of a minimum of three goals to take them through."

Celtic players come out at Murrayfield

Celtic beat KR Reykjavik 4-0 at Murrayfield in the previous round.

  88. FIRST LEG RECAP

It started so well for Celtic in Warsaw when Callum McGregor fired home the opening goal.

    Ivica Vdoljak and Kris Commons

However, Miroslav Radovic scored twice for Legia and Efe Ambrose's red card before half-time further dented Celtic's hopes.

Two more Legia goals followed in the second half and it could have been worse for Ronny Deila's side, had Ivica Vrdoljak not missed two penalties.

  89. Post update

No place in the Celtic starting line-up for striker Leigh Griffiths or recent signing Jo Inge Berget. Nir Biton comes into the midfield and Emilio Izaguirre returns to the starting line-up. Efe Ambrose is suspended and captain Scott Brown is injured.
