  1. Who's in action?

    Among the British swimmers taking part this evening is five-time Paralympic champion Ellie Simmonds, competing in her first UK swimming event following her break from the sport after the 2016 Rio Games, plus Commonwealth Games and Paralympic gold medallist Ellie Robinson.

  2. BBC coverage

    BBC Sport will be broadcasting online and on connected TV during all four days of the British Para-Swimming International Meet at Ponds Forge in Sheffield.

    Every race will be a multi-classification format, with competitors awarded a points score for their finishing time in relation to the world record in their own classification, so the swimmer who touches home first is not necessarily the winner.

    The meeting will include national events for British swimmers, as well as international class races as part of the World Para Swimming World Series.

  3. What is it?

    The British Para-Swimming International Meet 2018 takes place from 31 May to 3 June at the Ponds Forge International Sports Centre in Sheffield.

    The competition will also act as the fifth and penultimate leg of this year's World Para Swimming World Series, which saw its inaugural season in 2017.

    It will see the para-swimming elite, including five-time Paralympic gold medallist Ellie Simmonds, converge on the city of Sheffield for four days of world-class action.

    It will also double as the British selection meet for the European Championships in Dublin later this year.
