  1. Farewell

Well that was a stunning weekend of darts, I'm sure you'll agree. And, for that matter, the state of darts at the minute is tremendous.

The in-form Gary Anderson pulled off a stunning day's worth of darts to take home the £100,000 prize and ensure he's won absolutely everything the sport can offer.

And a mention too for an affable Brighton crowd, enjoying their first Champions League of Darts in their own back yard.

An exciting and busy autumn awaits in the PDC, with some top players in top form. It's anyone's guess who will seal the World Championship come the festive period.

For now though, thank you very much for joining us and enjoy your evening.

  2. 'I've done alright'

Champions League winner Gary Anderson told BBC Sport:

"I've done alright, I had a wee laugh with Peter and said of the four semi-finalists, three of us are over 40!

"The crowd has been brilliant. I should have known that because the last few nights I've not slept, what a bunch of party animals.

"I've got two days off and then I'm off to Ireland for the World Grand Prix. I'm looking forward to it. There's some cracking matches there."

  3. I lost to the best player - Wright

Champions League runner-up Peter Wright told BBC Sport:

"I think I just run out of steam but what an amazing crowd. It's the first time here.

"I had nothing left in the final. I can't explain it but I lost to the best player today.

"He's won the World Matchplay and UK Open and he's the man to beat at the moment.

"I played really well with the darts but I ran out of steam for the final and Gary's always going to play awesome and I lost to the best player."

  4. The Flying Scotsman wins in Brighton

Here's the story of the tournament...

    Peter Wright 4-11 Gary Anderson

    Gary Anderson

Gary Anderson throws his seventh maximum of the final but Peter Wright bags one of his own.

Ando throws 165 to leave 16, meaning Snakebite needs double 19 to win and he misses, leaving The Flying Scotsman to wrap it up.

What a performance - and with a bad back no less! Stunning darts from the pair of them, two great players.

    Mark Webster

2008 BDO world champion on BBC Two

Gary's playing a great game and Peter's not playing well in this game. You fancy Gary to get over the line sharpish.

  7. Post update

    *Peter Wright 4-10 Gary Anderson

    Paul Nicholson

2010 Players Championship winner on BBC Two

Wright needed to get to 8-6 down at that break, he hasn't been able to do it and you can't see a way back. This is too much of a mountain to climb.

  8. Post update

    *Peter Wright 4-10 Gary Anderson

Peter Wright misses double five on an 85 checkout attempt and Gary Anderson moves a leg away from the win with double eight.

We've got an interval now, but I bet Anderson just wants to carry on playing!

  9. Post update

    Peter Wright 4-9 Gary Anderson*

Maximums all around, with two from Gary Anderson!

More boos from the crowd - who would each get a share of £50,000 if there's a nine-darter - as he misses his seventh dart.

But he throws a 10-dart leg to break Peter Wright's throw and move three legs from the title.

  10. Post update

    *Peter Wright 4-8 Gary Anderson

A much better leg from Gary Anderson, this.

A pair of T20s prior to his final visit of the leg ensures an easy tops sees him three legs from victory.

  11. Post update

    Peter Wright 4-7 Gary Anderson*

    Peter Wright

Gary Anderson is languishing back in the 300s as Peter Wright has several attempts at tops.

In the end he bags double 10 to once again move within three legs of the Flying Scotsman.

Anderson's being rewarded by his early form, here.

  12. Post update

    *Peter Wright 3-7 Gary Anderson

Gary Anderson's looked out of sorts since returning from the interval.

However, he'll be happy to move four legs clear again as he cleans up a 96 checkout on double 19 to hold his throw.

  13. Post update

    Peter Wright 3-6 Gary Anderson*

A maximum from Gary Anderson but is it too late? He leaves himself on a huge 136 finish, putting the pressure on Peter Wright to wrap up 89 on yet another bull.

He misses, but Ando can't quite checkout and Snakebite pins double eight to claw another leg back.

  14. Post update

    *Peter Wright 2-6 Gary Anderson

Snakebite misses double 16 and leaves the door open for Gary Anderson but he can't quite pin a seventh leg.

Peter Wright gets another opportunity and ultimately just about bags double two to get another leg on the board.

  15. Post update

    Peter Wright 1-6 Gary Anderson*

Peter Wright found something special to see off Michael van Gerwen in the semi-final. He'll need something even better here.

  16. Post update

    Peter Wright 1-6 Gary Anderson*

    Paul Nicholson

2010 Players Championship winner on BBC Two

It just doesn't feel like the mojo is there for Peter Wright from the semi-final. He's going to have to do something even more extraordinary.

  17. Post update

    Peter Wright 1-6 Gary Anderson*

Six perfect darts from Gary Anderson and he breaks Peter Wright once again as they go in for the interval.

He's already only five legs away from winning his first Champions League of Darts title thanks to a supreme 10-dart leg.

  18. Post update

    *Peter Wright 1-5 Gary Anderson

    Gary Anderson

    5-1 ahead, now!

A succession of poor visits to the oche from Peter Wright culminates in Gary Anderson easily dispatching an eight double four finish to hold his throw.

  19. Post update

    Peter Wright 1-4 Gary Anderson*

Two tens will do it for Gary Anderson. He moves further ahead of Peter Wright with a finish of 40 to break Peter Wright's throw.

Snakebite could do with breaking Ando's throw himself.

  20. Post update

    *Peter Wright 1-3 Gary Anderson

Great stuff from the Flying Scotsman! Peter Wright attempts a 150 checkout but falters, leaving a 38 checkout open for Gary Anderson to snatch up.

    The two-leg gap is reinstated.
