  1. Farewell

The action is unrelenting at this T20 World Cup.

A colossal game between India and Afghanistan is just about to start.

Head here to follow our live text.

Kal Sajad's report of New Zealand's win over Scotland is here.

    The scorecard is here.

    The tables are here.

And there are highlights on the BBC Sport website and app here.

    Cheers!

  2. Post update

New Zealand's Martin Guptill, who made 93 off 56 balls: "I was pretty cooked. We've got a day off tomorrow so I won't be doing much tomorrow.

"We didn't have a great start, losing three wickets in the pwerplay. Glenn and I had to assess the situation and get a partnership together. We created a bit of momentum."

On their final Super 12 game against Afghanistan on 7 November: "Afghanistan are a great side - they've got match-winners throughout their order. We've got to be on to pof our game and not take them lightly."

  3. Post update

Scotland have matches against India and Pakistan left to come.

They may be disappointed to have lost all three group games so far but imagine if they pulled off a win over either of those sides!

If Scotland can find another bowler or two who can keep things tight and capitalise on strong positions when their opposition are two or three wickets down early, then they'll be an even more threatening side in the next T20 World Cup.

  4. Post update

That defeat does eliminate Scotland from contention - they are four points behind Afghanistan and New Zealand with two games left to play...

...but Afghanistan and New Zealand have yet to face each other.

That massive game will take place on Sunday.

  5. Post update

Martin Guptill wasn't the only batter to clatter the seats today.

Scotland's Michael Leask unleashed some mighty blows too...

    John Blain

Former Scotland bowler on BBC Test Match Special

A great performance from Scotland, getting a bit of pride back after the first two defeats.

It was important they came back full of confidence and belief. To get within 16 runs of New Zealand is more than respectable.

There were moments they haven't managed well but they can take a lot of pride from the match and take and momentum into the next one.

  8. Post update

The close margin of victory doesn't do wonders for New Zealand's net run rate.

At least they haven't let India right back into contention.

New Zealand v Afghanistan promises to be a belter.

Afghanistan have the small task of facing India in half an hour or so though.

  9. Post update

    Ravi Bopara

Former England all-rounder on BBC Test Match Special

Scotland did really well to get up to 156. In the first innings they would have hoped to restrict New Zealand to 150-160, but they just let things get away with that good innings from Martin Guptill.

  10. NEW ZEALAND WIN BY 16 RUNS

    Sco 156-5

Chris Greaves slaps a single down the ground.

Adam Milne keeps it more than tidy enough in the final over to ensure New Zealand win by 16 runs in the end.

But that was far from convincing.

    A fine fight by Scotland.

  11. Sco 155-5

    Need 18 from one ball

Milne follows Leask, who chips a single to the leg-side.

  12. Sco 154-5

    Need 19 from two balls

Michael Leask batters it over extra cover for four more. More time at the crease for him and Scotland may have done this.

  13. Sco 150-5

    Need 23 from three balls

    Leask scurries two.

    Aatif Nawaz

    BBC Test Match Special

This has been closed up by New Zealand, though not in the most convincing fashion.

  15. Sco 148-5

    Need 25 from 4 balls

Huge swing and a miss by Leask.

    And that's torn it.

Unless Milnes sends down some extras...

  16. Sco 148-5

    Need 25 from 5 balls

Adam Milne starts the final over - a single down the ground by Chris Greaves to put Michael Leask on strike.

  17. Post update

    John Blain

Former Scotland bowler on BBC Test Match Special

I think it's 10 runs too many. That's my only concern.

  18. Post update

    Aatif Nawaz

    BBC Test Match Special

    They are still alive!

  19. Sco 147-5

    Need 26 from 6 balls

    WELL.

It had to go and it certainly went.

Michael Leask absolutely clatters Tim Southee's final ball into the stands behind mid-wicket.

A huge ask remains. But imagine...

  20. Sco 141-5

    Need 32 from 7 balls

Canny change-up from Southee, Greaves misses but scrambles a bye.
