  1. Goodbye

That's a wrap from us. My colleague Amy Lofthouse's report is now live, you can read that over here.

Thank you for joining us today and throughout the summer.

All good things must come to an end, but it won't be long before we do it all over again for what could be a huge winter for women's cricket.

    Until then, farewell.

  2. Post update

New Zealand captain Sophie Devine on Sky Sports: "It's one of those games you just flush down the dunnie. Full credit to England, they completely out-performed us.

"We're not going to dwell on that, we've had some real highlights throughout this tour and that's what we're going to reflect on.

"We could have been going into this last game 4-0 up, to be honest. I think we were in positions quite often throughout the series and that's how we'll look at it.

"It's really exciting to think we've still got Rosemary Mair and Amelia Kerr back home so there's so much competition for places and that's what we need."

  3. Post update

Player of the Match Tammy Beaumont on Sky Sports: "Our batting has fallen short on occasion during this series so to go out with a bang and get 300 for the first time in a while was really good going. There were contributions all the way down the order.

"I thought New Zealand's plans to me were brilliant all series, they really attacked my front pad and they did it again today but once I got in I felt more able to use my feet and utilise the slope here.

"Sophia Dunkley and Danni Wyatt were amazing at the end, hitting the ball to all parts and that just shows how much power we've got down the order."

  4. Post update

Here is one of those late wickets for Heather Knight. The expression on her face says it all.

The England skipper is also named Player of the Series. More for her batting, I imagine.

  5. 'We're in a good place'

England captain and Player of the Series Heather Knight on Sky Sports: "Those wickets at the end aren't ones for the highlights package are they!?

"But for me I probably wasn't at my best against India at the start of the summer, I felt a bit scratchy. I worked really hard and wanted to make a big contribution in these ODIs, especially with the winter we've got coming up so I'm delighted it went well.

"I've enjoyed the series, I've felt in good nick and I wanted to be the one making match-winning contributions. But we've had so many people stepping up and putting in performances over the series. Kate Cross must've been close to getting this award because she's had a brilliant summer.

"We're in a good place heading into what's going to be a very year for us next year. We are desperate to do well in both the Ashes and World Cup."

  6. Post update

Tammy Beaumont is, unsurprisingly, named Player of the Match thanks to that magnificent century.

  7. Post update

England skipper Heather Knight is named Player of the Summer.

Reckon it was those two late wickets that swung it.

  8. 'Tammy Beaumont was outstanding

England bowler Kate Cross on Sky Sports: "It’s always nice to take wickets and get the team in a winning position, but the batters set us up today. Tammy Beaumont was outstanding, she has been missing that big score and she’s finished the season off perfectly.

"I felt good all summer to be honest, I felt confident and I think a lot of that comes from having a clear role in the team, in those middle overs being boring and bowling stump-to-stump and picking up wickets."

On getting her 50th ODI wicket: "It’s always nice to get to those milestones and personally there’s been times where I didn't think I’d get an England shirt back on, so to get milestones is really nice.

"The main thing for me is being part of this team. We’ve got a World Cup and an Ashes coming up this winter.

"We spoke that last night that 3-2 would look like a close series and we feel like we have dominated a lot of it. We wanted that 4-1 series win and I’m delighted with the girls."

  9. Post update

    Alex Hartley

England spinner on BBC Test Match Special

What's exciting for this England team is there's so much room for improvement. Yes they've been dominant today but they haven't been all series. Their bowling has been brilliant but they have had batting collapses and they'll know that needs improving.

But that performance today is exactly how they should play and it'll give them confidence knowing they can play like that, especially with such a big winter coming up.

  10. Post update

    Phil Long

    BBC Test Match Special statistician

That's New Zealand's second-ever heaviest defeat and England's largest defeat over them in ODIs.

  11. Post update

That's a richly deserved wicket for Charlie Dean, she bowled superbly for no reward - until then.

The New Zealand players make their way onto the pitch to congratulate their England counterparts to warm applause from the Canterbury crowd.

A fine way to end the English summer.

Charlie Dean continues at the other end, it's skied in the air by Lea Tahuhu and it's taken in the deep by Winfield-Hill!

England have absolutely thrashed New Zealand by 203 runs!

    Melissa Story

    BBC Test Match Special commentator

It doesn't say 'full toss' or half-tracker' in the scorebook!

  14. Post update

    Alex Hartley

England spinner on BBC Test Match Special

It's a full toss from Heather Knight and she's got the giggles because she's got two of the worst wickets we've probably seen all season!

  15. WICKET

    Rowe lbw b Knight 20 (NZ 144-9)

Another - from a full toss! Hannah Rowe goes for the sweep and completely misses the ball.

Knight was almost embarrassed to appeal!

    Alex Hartley

England spinner on BBC Test Match Special

It's a shame for Brooke Halliday but she's been a real talent for New Zealand this series and that was an almost impossible position for her to come in to bat.

    Henry Moeran

Commentator on BBC Test Match Special

Filthy ball, filthy shot, easy catch!

  18. WICKET

Halliday ct Beaumont b Knight 27 (NZ 142-8)

    An absolute gift.

It's a horrible short ball from Heather Knight but it's an equally terrible shot straight up into the air by Halliday and Tammy Beaumont doesn't have to move a midwicket.

  19. NZ 141-7

Another fine over from Charlie Dean, just a couple from it - she is 0-13 from five overs.

    It's time for drinks.

  20. Post update

Heather Knight's golden arm did for Hayley Jensen as England edge ever closer to victory.
