    India and New Zealand

It's a matter of contrasting emotions for both teams. New Zealand are into the World Cup final. India are out.

Are you ready to do it all again tomorrow? I'm not.

Either England or Australia will join the Black Caps in the final. Join us from 9:30 BST on Thursday to find out who.

    Congrats, New Zealand.

    Here's the final moment.

It was all-but decided a few balls earlier with the wickets of Jadeja and Dhoni but this is when New Zealand's win was sealed...

    Two great captains.

Kane Williamson came out on top this time...

Is it time for Dhoni to retire? He scored 50 in the end but he did eat up 72 balls. While he was there we were all thinking the improbable could happen but was that just from looking back on his past glory? Time catches up with everyone, I guess.

When he hit this six we really believed but he only hit one other boundary...

SMS Message: For all the hype about Dhoni, he has consistently put his team mates under pressure with his slow run rates. A decent time for him to bow out, rather than live on his reputation. from Marcus, Cornwall.

This of course means New Zealand will compete in a second World Cup final in a row.

Will it be a repeat of the 2015 final? Or will it be England they are up against?

More from Ross Taylor: "It still hasn't really sunk in that we're in our second successive final. The boys were nervous going into the last one, you've just got to enjoy them. Last time we had to fly over to Australia because we'd played all of our games in New Zealand, this time it's just a nice bus ride down to one of the best cities in the world in London.

"It wasn't a complete performance today but we're glad we've got over the line."

New Zealand batsman Ross Taylor, speaking to Sky Sports: "We knew 240 was going to be tough to chase. We knew the boundaries were pretty big and if we could open one end up we'd have a chance.

"Martin Guptill has had a pretty quiet World Cup and we just said to him 'go out there and do something special today'.

"Kane from early on thought 240 was going to be enough or would give us a good chance anyway. I was on about 25 off 50 balls and he told me to just go deep and he'd try and take the pressure off me at the other end."

India fans - does it feel even worse because you got so close?

It look like Kohli's side done and dusted at 92-6 but Ravindra Jadeja played a stunning innings.

He dragged them back into with 77 from 59 balls. It looked like he was going to do it. Some of these shots were massive!

New Zealand captain Kane Williamson: "It's a different feeling to last time. We've had to skin it over the round robin, so it's been quite different. A lot of heart has been shown by the guys so far but we're keeping our feet on the ground. It was a great semi-final and we're happy to be on the right side of it.

"It was really tough batting conditions yesterday. We had to assess conditions quickly, I think both sides thought it would be a higher scoring game. We spoke about getting 240-250 and we knew that would be competitive. There were a lot of contributions from everyone to get us to that total.

"We spoke about the conditions during the interval, we wanted to put the ball in good areas and move the ball around and put some pressure on India, they are a world-class side. It was a great start from the bowlers, we knew it would get tougher for us as the innings went on. We showed plenty of heart and the fielders and bowlers were outstanding."

  15. 'It's hard to come to terms with'

More from Kohli: "Jadeja had an outstanding game. The way he played today was a great sign for his skill set and what he can do for the team. He turned the game around in no time and had a good partnership with Dhoni, who got run out in the end. It's a game of margins.

"It's tough - 45 minutes of bad cricket put you out of the tournament. It's hard to come to terms with but New Zealand deserve it - they put us under pressure and came through in the key moments.

"Our shot selection could've been better but otherwise we played a good brand of cricket and I'm proud of the way we played. Come the knockouts it is anyone's game and New Zealand showed more composure and were braver and they deserve to go through to the semi-finals."

    Jeremy Coney

Ex-New Zealand captain on BBC Test Match Special

New Zealand hadn't had enough performance from different players in this tournament. But they did today.

  17. Post update

New Zealand had lost their last three games before this. They looked badly out of form. You wouldn't have thought they'd be able to beat India. It didn't look like they had enough runs on the board.

    A stunning surprise win.
