  2. 400 first-class wickets

    Yorkshire 520, Somerset 196 & 219-8

    Steven Patterson

Steve Patterson has been on fire this morning for Yorkshire. The White Rose skipper reached this milestone earlier, but is already on to 402!

  3. 50 for Rilee Rossouw

    Hampshire 409-9 dec & 158-2 v Kent 555

Rilee Rossouw has his fourth County Championship half-century of the season, and a timely one as Hampshire dig in.

Like batting partner Ian Holland, it's been a watchful and responsible innings, with Rossouw spending almost two hours at the crease.

They lead Kent by 12 runs and will want to keep this up to ensure they avoid defeat on this final day.

  4. WICKET Critchley b Coles 19

    Derbyshire 206-8 v Northants (target 319)

Another one bites the dust at Chesterfield.

Matt Coles clean bowls Matt Critchley and just for good measure, Northants skipper Adam Rossington catches the ball as it deflects off leg stump.

    Neat glovework.

  5. WICKET Ambrose c Lawrence b Harmer 8

    Warwickshire 107-5 v Essex (target 401)

It's a Simon Harmer masterclass for Essex!

He's been at his menacing best this morning, bowling his classic drifting deliveries, and has Tim Ambrose edged to Dan Lawrence for eight.

Warwickshire are 107-5 and though they have experience to come, defeat looks likely with Harmer in this form - the spinner has three wickets this morning.

  6. WICKET Wagg c Malan b Roland-Jones 40

    Glamorgan 259-8 v Middlesex (target 556)

Graham Wagg is gone after nicking Toby Roland-Jones to slip fielder and Middlesex skipper Dawid Malan.

    Middlesex need two.

  7. Post update

    Hampshire 409-9 dec & 149-2 v Kent 555

Hampshire have moved into the lead and reached 150, with eight wickets in hand.

Ian Holland (58*) and Rilee Rossouw (43*) have added a very useful 84 for the third wicket at the Ageas Bowl.

    Heading for a draw?

  8. WICKET Davies c Olivier b Patterson 24

    Yorkshire 520, Somerset 196 & 211-8

I can only assume this Steve Patterson delivery sticks in the pitch because Steve Davies is so early on it. He loops it up to mid-off fielder Duanne Olivier who takes a good catch low down.

That's three for Yorkshire skipper Patto this morning.

Just two wickets required now. Will we get past lunch?

  9. WICKET Hemphrey c Simpson b Roland-Jones 72

    Glamorgan 225-7 v Middlesex (target 556)

Middlesex get the big wicket they need.

Chris Hemphrey is caught down the legside in Toby Roland-Jones' first over after taking the new ball. It breaks his partnership of 62 with Graham Wagg.

  10. Post update

    Warwickshire 93-4 v Essex (target 401)

Tim Ambrose resolutely defends the hat-trick ball from Simon Harmer!

That over puts Essex in firm control of this match now though, and Warwickshire will have to pull out all the stops to hold them off.

The Bears are 308 short of their target, with Adam Hose (4*) the batsman alongside Ambrose.

  11. WICKET Mousley c Cook b Harmer 0

    Warwickshire 93-4 v Essex (target 401)

It's the same combination that saw the end of Rob Yates, as Dan Mousley edges to Alastair Cook for a first-ball duck.

Tim Ambrose in to face the hat-trick ball...

  12. WICKET Yates c Cook b Harmer 13

    Warwickshire 93-3 v Essex (target 401)

    Essex celebrate

Having dropped one in the last over, Simon Harmer gets a wicket of his own and it's looking good for Essex now!

Rob Yates had looked good but edges a forward defensive and is caught at slip by Alastair Cook for 13.

    Warwickshire 93-3.

  13. WICKET Bess b Patterson 4

    Yorkshire 520, Somerset 196 & 192-7

Dom Bess is clean bowled by Steve Patterson and the end of this match is near with Yorkshire closing in on an innings victory.

  14. for Chris Rushworth

    Worcestershire 56-5 v Durham (target 352)

Five from five for Chris Rushworth!

The Durham stalwart does not deviate from what works. Full and straight, full and straight, full and straight.

Callum Ferguson pokes his bat at it outside off stump and edges to Graham Clark at slip for 30.

  15. Dropped catch

    Warwickshire 87-2 v Essex (target 401)

Simon Harmer drops Adam Hose at second slip!

Not a dolly but one that should certainly have been taken by the Essex spinner.

It comes off the bowling of Aaron Beard, who's replaced Peter Siddle and once again looks dangerous against the Bears batsmen.

  16. WICKET Hosein lbw b Procter 22

    Derbyshire 182-7 v Northants (target 319)

Harvey Hosein becomes Luke Procter's second victim of the morning as he's trapped lbw. Northants are closing in victory.

This both moved back and barely got off the ground. Hosein had absolutely no chance.

    Three to go.

  17. WICKET Banton b Patterson 63

    Yorkshire 520, Somerset 196 & 188-6

Steve Patterson draws Tom Banton forward with a perfect length delivery and while the Somerset batsman's eyes lit up for the drive, he resisted. It doesn't matter though as the ball nips back off the pitch and clean bowls him through the gate.

Banton is bitterly disappointed. He really did trudge off the field, taking forever.

Dom Bess replaces him in the middle and gets a standing ovation. The reason for that is only a few weeks ago he was on loan here and in a few weeks he'll back on loan again.

    Odd, I know.

  18. 50 for Ian Holland

    Hampshire 409-9 dec & 134-2 v Kent 555

Ian Holland watchfully makes it to 50 for Hampshire.

It's taken him 160 balls - very different to his first innings, where he played some shots.

Just what Hampshire have needed in this situation. They trail Kent by just 12 runs now.

  19. WICKET Banks c Westley b Siddle 50

    Warwickshire 83-2 v Essex (target 401)

    Peter Siddle

And Essex have their man - a great Peter Siddle ball brings the end of Liam Banks!

Banks, who just completed his first half-century, plays a forward defensive but gets an edges which flies to Tom Westley at third slip.

The Warwickshire batsman didn't quite get over the ball and they're 83-2 - needing another 318 - with Adam Hose in at four.

  20. WICKET Lace c Bavuma b Hutton 41

    Derbyshire 168-6 v Northants (target 319)

Tom Lace hangs his head after gifting a wicket to Luke Procter. It's an overpitched delivery on leg stump that the Derbyshire batsman tries to flick to the midwicket boundary. He hits it sweetly enough but it's straight to Temba Bavuma.
