    Clare Shillington started well for Ireland with 27 from 25 balls but hopes faded after she was bowled by Nashra Sandhu. Despite a 39-run partnership between Isobel Joyce and Kim Garth, Ireland lost five wickets for 19 runs to slip from 76-4 to 95-9 as they finished well short.

    Pakistan are back in action on Thursday against New Zealand, with Ireland facing India earlier on the same day.
