  1. In case you missed it...

The tournament started earlier today, with New Zealand v India in Guyana. India won the toss and elected to bat first.

They slipped to 40-3 before captain Harmanpreet Kaur and Jemimah Rodrigues shared 134 for the fourth wicket. Kaur, in particular, was mighty impressive hitting 103 off just 51 balls.

They eventually posted 194-5 to set New Zealand an extremely daunting target.

The White Ferns started positively, putting on 50 for the first wicket. But, after that wickets fell at regular intervals as Amy Satterthwaite's side fell 34 runs short.

You can watch highlights of Kaur's massive six hitting below.

  2. Post update

The second game of the day saw Australia play Pakistan.

In truth it was pretty one-sided from the outset.

Australia put on 72 for the first wicket, Beth Mooney and Alyssa Healy both scored 48. Their innings did falter slightly, as they posted 165-5 from their 20 overs, despite looking on track for well over 180 at one point.

A wicket in the first over of Pakistan's reply, from a horror shot, saw them on the back foot throughout. They lost regular wickets via a mixture of bad shots and good Australian fielding, particularly from Healy behind the stumps.

In the end, Australia ran out comfortable winners by 52 runs to make a positive statement on the opening day of the tournament.
